Sherpa's are sherpa they are'nt tibetians . they live mostly on the Nepal side foothills of mountains and they are the care takers of everest ,tibetians are from the other side of the foothill but in Nepal we all are One!!
A befitting tribute to our hardy Sherpa brothers who practically risk their lives and climb the mountains for their clients. Of course, it is a misconception to think that they are merely porters. However, it is also a misconception to think that a particular ethnic group are simply only designated porters. Carrying loads in the mountains of Nepal in the distant past ( before the advent of adventure tourism / mountaineering ) was an obligatory task for everyone as there was no other way of ferrying essentials ( salt, oil, medicines, etc.) - nobody had the luxury of hiring porters; unless it was a medical emergency. Sherpas, Tamangs, Magars, Gurungs, Rais, Limbus ( SHETAMAGURALI ) also proudly serve in the British and Indian Armies, Singapore Police Force, Gurkha Reserve Unit ( Brunei ), French Foreign Legion and have helped to maintain world peace and security for generations.
One of the best videos I've seen about Nepal and Sherpas. If global economic inequality wasn't our reality I wonder how many westerns would have reached these summits... probably not many. Only a few highly trained mountaineers. I hope someday Sherpas can live the live they want, with dignity and respect, without having to risk themselves for rich people's facebook photos, getting paid the low end of the cut. Sherpa have superior DNA adaptations (for altitude), are incredible athletes and nevertheless get disrespected.
It would be grand if a lot more people would follow Sir Edmund Hillary’s example and do something to give back to the Sherpa. What a guy and true mountaineer he was.

Thanks a lot for recognising the commitments and efforts of Sherpa people at Everest in its truest form! It's an honour which we don't get even from our own Nepali fellas or government!!
I respect that you document these amazing people & all they are. I’ve never scaled a mountain (& don’t want to), however I totally admire and respect the Sherpa men that risk their lives to support their families amidst the ignorance & egos of some people that don’t appreciate or even realize everything they do! Amazing respect to them and to you for documenting it all. Thank you for sharing
"The Romanticism of Sherpas With Mt.Everest" Its a kind of Tribute to their Audacious and Daring Job. Fantastic Natgeo.

These Sherpa are the real mvp . They risk their lives for others to meet a dream . These guys are taken advantage of . I could never ask another to risk their life for me .
i am obsessed with everything to do w everest, mountaineering, sherpas... oxygen, death zone, beck, hillary, acclamation, cerebral edema... i do not hike climb or even exercise rite now but- completely fascinated!!🖤
meeshy 1313 lol same here I just get the chills on every footage there is on the death zone I don't know but every time I have this feeling that reaching the summit is soooooooo extremely cool and extremely scary!!

Me too..
Thank you for this tribute to Sherpas. They are the real heroes.
Great respect to the Sherpas who actually climb mountains with all d equipments and bagpacks while we glorify d others who somehow managed to d top with d constant care of f Sherpas..they deserve more respect but in reality is totally opposite.. without d Sherpas climbing Everest is surely impossible..
Sherpas- thank you for all you do! We respect you and pray for you 🙏
respect to our sherpa brothers!!thank you very much for this video!!jai nepal
Respect to Sherpas. And the reporter who mentioned about the Sherpas.
It feels so selfish when people who clearly cant handle the mountain get draged up by sherpas on Mount Everest just because they have money and wanted to do so.
I respect them and appreciate them met a nice number of Nepali ppl they were really nice.
exactly the same feeling i have been carrying with me long time ago for sherpas... They are truely the Unsung Heroes
Well done. Sherpas deserve much more credit than what is given.
Huge respect to sherpas..... Love frm india... Brave peoples with simplicity nd honesty.
I met Danuru. He is so cool. He told me about this climb with Huey.
uhuh, sureeeee you did!
Haha he was a guide on my Quest for Everest trip. 😂 Look that up on TH-cam or Google with my name.
this is so beautiful capture! they deserve recognition!
Thank you for revealing the real meaning of Sherpa, feels so proud to be a sherpa, without them , climbing Everest is unthinkable and that’s what sherpa people do.
Such a beautiful culture, family is so important, and hard working. We should be looking up to them as opposed to the people looking down at them as "servants"...
Respect...Great video...
TouringTravellers I

Sherpas are angels, everybody in Nepal is an angel. They are without a doubt the best people Ive ever met.

Thank you so much for this enlightening glimpse into a different world. Outstanding!
“Its not all about us” the real heroes. Long Live Sherpas!!! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Very well done sir, much respect from one traveler to another.
hats off to sherpas
great video
nowdays people who says i climbed mount everest are not actually.they are carried by sherpas.
they tie ropes and everything. and in general sherpas are more established than normal nepali due to the guts the have got.Amazing
" The herding of humane cattle " - How true indeed! Sherpa are a Tibetan ethnic group !! IT IS NOT A JOB!
Years I have been explaining that!
sherpa n tibetian people are different having there own respective culture languages and traditions
Sherpa's are sherpa they are'nt tibetians . they live mostly on the Nepal side foothills of mountains and they are the care takers of everest ,tibetians are from the other side of the foothill but in Nepal we all are One!!
@BIBEK KANDEL actually, they are originally Tibetan. they moved to Nepal like some 500 years ago i think.
Wonderful brave hardworking Sherpas and their families❤️❤️❤️
i have complete respect for porters and sherpas....strong humble people...woyld love to travel there...

This guy hit the nail on the head. Kudos to you, sir.
Amazing vedio and thanks a lot for educating the people who are having misconception about sherpas and thier culture and history.
proud of all Sherpa brothers God bless you..
It's really great to see these men have such a great opportunity.
Blessings to these Sherpas, especially to those who perished and left many loved ones behind,
just made me cry......
Those sherpas do an amazing job! Thanks for the great video ❤️
Wow! Great share! Amazing photos of amazing people
fantastic thank you for that insight into the life of the sherpa...amazing athletes indeed
