Yeah I checked it out for the first time ever last night and was absolutely blown away. JJ Abrams directed this beautifully and you can tell just how invested he and his cohorts were in crafting the show's concept. I love how the pilot felt like a movie, and if you ask me, those kind of pilots are usually the best.
I have to agree. I have never been so exited to see the next episode as when I saw lost pilot. Too bad rest of the show didn't live up to that. I just wish the writers would of kept is as good as breaking bad was from start to finish. Just my opinion.

i watched the show 12 years ago and didnt watch since then again. now i am watching it again.. i think i will come back every 10 years after i forgot most of it to get excited at least 4-5 times in my life wathcing it again! :P

Michael Giacchino is one of many geniuses who worked on this show. His music is simply stunning and it is very effective in immersing the viewer in the moment. The fact that he used metal pieces from the wreckage to add to the realism of the music that he created goes to show that he is a master of his craft.

I was shocked to witness how it really happens. They would shoot maybe a single sentence several times or more and from many different angles. They could spend an hour or more on a single line of dialog. It makes you wonder why anyone could not be an actor and I think we give way too much credit to actors for the work that they do. J.J. Abrams who was involved with this show just shot a movie in my home town a couple years ago or more called Super 8. I was there each day to watch them and even met him. They spent an entire day filming a scene with some tanks and some cars rolling through our main street in town. Nothing more. From morning to early evening it was all about some tanks rolling down main street with some extras walking along on the sidewalks.
Tarek Attal not underrated it just came out before the social media era so it seems underrated. But there was forums about theories etc about Lost when the show aired

It's just that I strongly believe in them as a couple: 1)Don't Kate and Sawyer have the most chemistry in the show? (They even have their own love theme). How come no other couple had this much connection/chemistry? Does it have something to do with Kate, or Sawyer, or does it have to do with Josh and Evangeline? 2)Why wasn't there enough "hints" towards Kate and Sawyer in season 6, like there was in the other seasons? 3)Why didn't it work between Kate and Jack in their three years off the island together? 4)Why did Kate declare her love to Jack only when she understood she was never gonna see him again (The End)? 5)If Sawyer hadn't jumped in season 4, and all of them had made it back, then who would Kate have chosen- Jack or Sawyer? 6)If it had been Sawyer instead of Jack who was gonna die in the end, would Kate have made her teary love declaration the same way? 7)Since Jack and Kate didn't work, Juliet realised she and Sawyer weren't meant to be, Sawyer and Kate had excellent chemistry, and they both survive the island together in the end, does this mean Sawyer and Kate have a second chance at each other? 8)Despite the chemistry between Sawyer and Kate throughout the 6 seasons, and Juliet and Jack both admitting to "losing" Sawyer and Kate, and Jack and Juliet being married in Flash Sideways, why is it that Juliet and Sawyer awaken each other? If not, then why does Cassidy tell Kate that her heart was broken by Sawyer and only Aaron could fix it? 15) Kate and Sawye have a lot in common- shady past, outcasts, killed a man, regrets, etc. They have a connection, and some excellent chemistry. They also have Cassidy and Clementine in common, and in the end, even Claire and Aaron. Can it mean, in any way, that Sawyer and Kate will slowly find each other(like they always do), need each other and get together romantically, once the mourning period is over? They may after all be involved in the raising of Clementine and Aaron. Claire needs help with Aaron and Sawyer needs help with Clementine, and Kate knows both the kids. I know it's a lotta questions, but I would really, really love your answers. Could you do an in depth analysis of the entire Kate-Sawyer-Jack-Juliet thing? Please do reply.
The writers said, they left the ending ambiguous so that we could interpret it any way we want, satisfying all the fans of the love quadrangle. If that is so, how do we interpret it in such a way that Kate and Sawyer do actually end up together?
Abhinaya Mary Koshy This is hard to explain and put in to words but I will do my best. I think Kate loved both Men but part of me think Sawyer more til season 6. Kate and Sawyer just wasn't meant to be. Sawyer when they were bringing young Ben to the others told Kate that he had a lot of growing up to do and basically couldn't handle being a father to Klementine or be her boyfriend, but he once had feelings for Kate which he pretty much admitted that to Horus when Horus was upset when he found that cross in his pregnant wife's sock drawer remember that scene when they lived with the Darma group, but he ended up falling in love with Juliet and he really did love Juliet. he was planning on marrying her which you can tell broke Kate's heart. but I feel in the end Kate realized she loved Jack cause when he stayed behind on the island Kate Kissed Jack and told him she loved him. when they all met up at the church in the end of season 6 Kate told Jack that she had missed him for so long when they finally realized who each of these people were. all it was , was a love triangle between the three at the time but in the end Sawyer loved juliet Kate loved Jack..
Jessica S. But looking at the journey that SKATE had in the series, didn't they deserve to be together? They understood each other better. Had better connection and the best chemistry. Also, Jack and Juliet are both dead now, so, couldn't Kate and Sawyer, being old lovers, have a chance at each other, again, even if it takes time? And this time it could work between them, coz, they have both matured. Also, they have Clementine, Aaron and Cassidy common between them, which could make it easier.

Nothing compares to LOST !!!!! I cannot forget the first time I started watching the series, it was the best time I've ever had in my life ! Will something top that feeling ? I seriously doubt that , Cause mystery and adventure is the only thing that excites me in this boring everyday life ! LOST had everything I was looking for ! The first time I watched this show I was a little girl so I couldn't catch up the entire plot but I just kept watching it day by day without understanding what was going on, why they were on the island :D. And now 18 years later, I remember it and watch it again. This time I really understand and enjoy the show. Wow time flies so fast.
Its amazing how this show was as inherently mysterious for the actors as it was for us the viewers. I’m honestly baffled by how many times i heard some version of “i had no idea my character was going to...” by the actors in the show. That’s all i have to say, see y’all in another life.
I came to know about this show only during the pandemic and finally watched it.Each and every time when I see the first and last 15 seconds of the show (Jack's eye opening and closing near the Bamboo forest) gives me goosebumps!
I remember when I watched one of the episodes of season six in which Richards arrival to the island was depicted....that episode was awesome ...it looked like I was watching a high budget movie....

It's the end of 2023 and I have once again, binge watched LOST! I do this every 4 years or so, simply because nothing has come close to LOST proportions, before or since. Not on TV, that is. And each time I watch it, I find myself listening to and reaching for music from Three Dog Night, Mammas and the Pappas, etc. It's the whole package. Heart....Mind....Soul.

Can it mean, in any way, that Sawyer and Kate will slowly find each other(like they always do), need each other and get together romantically, once the mourning period is over?
They may after all be involved in the raising of Clementine and Aaron. Claire needs help with Aaron and Sawyer needs help with Clementine, and Kate knows both the kids.
I know it's a lotta questions, but I would really, really love your answers. Could you do an in depth analysis of the entire Kate-Sawyer-Jack-Juliet thing? Please do reply.
The writers said, they left the ending ambiguous so that we could interpret it any way we want, satisfying all the fans of the love quadrangle. If that is so, how do we interpret it in such a way that Kate and Sawyer do actually end up together?
Abhinaya Mary Koshy This is hard to explain and put in to words but I will do my best. I think Kate loved both Men but part of me think Sawyer more til season 6. Kate and Sawyer just wasn't meant to be. Sawyer when they were bringing young Ben to the others told Kate that he had a lot of growing up to do and basically couldn't handle being a father to Klementine or be her boyfriend, but he once had feelings for Kate which he pretty much admitted that to Horus when Horus was upset when he found that cross in his pregnant wife's sock drawer remember that scene when they lived with the Darma group, but he ended up falling in love with Juliet and he really did love Juliet. he was planning on marrying her which you can tell broke Kate's heart. but I feel in the end Kate realized she loved Jack cause when he stayed behind on the island Kate Kissed Jack and told him she loved him. when they all met up at the church in the end of season 6 Kate told Jack that she had missed him for so long when they finally realized who each of these people were. all it was , was a love triangle between the three at the time but in the end Sawyer loved juliet Kate loved Jack..
Jessica S. But looking at the journey that SKATE had in the series, didn't they deserve to be together? They understood each other better. Had better connection and the best chemistry.
Also, Jack and Juliet are both dead now, so, couldn't Kate and Sawyer, being old lovers, have a chance at each other, again, even if it takes time?
And this time it could work between them, coz, they have both matured.
Also, they have Clementine, Aaron and Cassidy common between them, which could make it easier.

Kate and Sawyer in some sense just seemed to much a like and them being together seems like the odds were against it or something? but again after they got off the island just honestly don't know. sorry this show is very hard to explain to someone.. hopefully someone can answer you better then what I did!!! : )

My favorite tv show ever. I finished watching it last year and no series had such an impact on me like Lost. The character development and depth was so good. I'm on my second rewatch right now (Feb 24)

The first time I watched this show I was a little girl so I couldn't catch up the entire plot but I just kept watching it day by day without understanding what was going on, why they were on the island :D. And now 18 years later, I remember it and watch it again. This time I really understand and enjoy the show. Wow time flies so fast.

I came to know about this show only during the pandemic and finally watched it.Each and every time when I see the first and last 15 seconds of the show (Jack's eye opening and closing near the Bamboo forest) gives me goosebumps!

It's the end of 2023 and I have once again, binge watched LOST! I do this every 4 years or so, simply because nothing has come close to LOST proportions, before or since. Not on TV, that is. And each time I watch it, I find myself listening to and reaching for music from Three Dog Night, Mammas and the Pappas, etc. It's the whole package. Heart....Mind....Soul.
