Slip On Exhaust Silencer Install - CBR250R Motorcycle

- I show you how I installed my Delkevic 18” Stainless Steel Exhaust on my Honda CBR250RA. Installation took about an hour and a half which includes exploratory surgery and messing with my cameras.
Tools: WD-40, ratchet, ratchet extensions, 10 and 12 mm socket, allen wrench, and an adjustable wrench
The sound was exactly what I was looking for in the longer 450 mm Delkevic exhaust. It was not as loud as a shorter exhaust, had a nice low rumble, and not at all obnoxious.
But I immediately noticed a slight loss in low speed torque, but it’s anecdotal. It might be me easing back on the throttle to control the volume.
Overall, I am extremely happy with this mod and would recommend it to those who are considering it.

An extremely informative and constructive way to fit an exhaust with time focused on the correct application of the sealant. Now I can tackle the same procedure with my 350mm Delkavic on my Bandit 1250. Happy days :)

I have the same bike in red (2013) and just put the exact same muffler on and made same mistake with bracket. Haha. Muffler with baffle in is very loud to my ears. I used the "decibel X pro" app on my iphone and came up with the following levels in a wide open parking lot: idle=88 db, constant 5k=95 db(c) and full throttle=99 db. Meter was set to "C" weighting. Highest peak was 104 db. I will definitely be wearing ear plugs all the time while riding. I would note that the muffler bracket has extremely sharp edges so be careful working with it and ripping off the white plastic (which took a fair amount of time to remove for me). I’d say go easy on sealant. I put a lot more on and ended up wiping off a fair amount. Don’t forget muffler bracket goes on inside (swing arm side ) of connection not outside (for the cleanest look). Take your time and test fit first. Make sure your suspension clears muffler before locking down bolts. Thanks for the awesome video. The instructions included with muffler are not great and do not include any graphics.

Mr. Brown, seems like you're the guy i look after! The video is somehow had the best explanation I've ever seen. Now im using a new cbr 250r, the 2014 version, and im looking forward to replace the stock exhaust with the new one. the thing is i'm living all by myself, and i didnt really understand of what kind of tools i have to use. planning to buy some if it's necessary. Is that all? the tools on your video? or you need some more? thanks sir! nb: im going to take a video of it, post it on youtube, and put your name on it, cause i know it would help people, just like you did!

I know loudpipes increase chances for some people to notice you, but I need to be able to go in and out in the middle of the night. I don't even have the bike yet, but do you think the CB650R would fit that exhaust?
Where did you install the baffle/silencer screw? I’m having trouble finding where I put that in on mine because it’s so loud. You probably no longer have the bike haha but if you remember that’d be great! Or if anyone else knows.

I purchased this slip on. However what bolt and nut did you use for the mounting strap to the pillion foot rest? I did not receive any bolts.
Excellent vid. Obviously the dB app crapped out, But how much louder would YOU say it is? I'm looking to upgrade the stock exhaust for my fazer 600 as it is dangerously quiet. But i don't want anything stupidly loud. Just sensibly loud would be nice.
Casper DeVanche I would say it is almost twice as loud as the stock exhaust but not as loud as the lawn mower. The noise isn't stupidly annoying and certainly is a long-term keeper for me. If you don't want anything 'stupidly loud', then get the longest exhaust you can afford. Thanks for commenting.

How is the nox fumes after the new muffler install, isn't the cat converter inside the muffler on the stock muffler? Does it have bad fumes?

Thanks for showing - now we know there was not much improvement. Strange your dB meter didn't work - when it was supposed. I sometime am overtaken by bikes that are really quiet, thats what I would like also for myself. But they are on the road and I am at the stearing wheel so I can not find out what are their set of exhaust - bike combination.. still wonder and want to know a very silent bike. (not electrical)

you should of put it on before you but the new ring on then over the new ring, then attach exhaust, then clean off excess

To me the initial exhaust seemed quieter.

You skipped the most important step. everyone knows that when replacing your exhaust, you have to run the engine on open headers.
Add a 2 bros juice box and just use the supplied slip on map and it'll totally come alive
