Ultra realistic sounds, graphics and physics. The cars feel incredible. The feeling of distribution of weights, wonderful. Long live this studio, and this simulator.
We can argue whether the game is stable enough, whether it has the best physics etc etc What cannot be argued is the quality of tracks. The tracks are just top notch, best in business renditions of the real thing. I applaud the attention to detail, the amount of trackside objects, the surface undulations. Additionally the way they're textured and lit gives the tracks this real life like presence - not overly flashy, almost understated. Love it! Keep them coming. I hope for Road Atlanta one day 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
@@slatanek Offline does, but it's hard to implement. It works well with casual racers on console, but then you have to make it properly and get console licensing which costs a ton of money and suddenly you compete against career modes of Gran Turismo, Forza or F1, which isn't easy for a small team.
@@drchtct Offline gets you only the entry money when the customer first buys the game. Online can sustain you for years since you'll always find ways to add to it and you can monetize it. Offline is not hard to implement. It costs a lot of dev time, but is not hard by any means.
It's wild how slept on this game is, it's got some of the most realistic racing I've ever enjoyed in my life. From the cold tires and breaks catching you off guard, to DCS style simulated electronics, those electric motor bump starts never get old. There's no gimmicks here.
Just want to say thank you Stephen Hood, management who keeps pushing the game and everyone in Team for the hard work. Never seen anything in any simtitle the innovated ABS simulation, lets test it out. Looking forward to find time and play more of this fantastic sim, particularly in VR. And news kept coming…, Frame rate performance, better loading times on lower systems, physics + the best VR improvements - how do you guys get all that done, some magic hee!
Are we going to get some offline improvements anytime soon? Like being to practice without having to turn the AI off, or a hotlap mode, or a career? Finding to hard to come back to this game when I look at these update videos and very little is mention for offline players, but a subscriton service is launching for a game in early access with paid DLC. Hope we can some proper comfirmation offline is getting improvemetns soon because I cannot get excited for a game update for focuses on paid parts of the game does the minimium for those who haven't paid extra (like it's early access, improved performance is what the mininum to be expected). The game is good don't get me wrong, but asking for more money from people who bought the game day one while still being in early access doesn't feel right to me.
1st the GT3s, one additional track, dedicated server creation with cost applied in a subscription model, driver swap and perhaps some VR native integration. That would do it for me at the current stage. So lets see what its going to be 🙂

Honestly that OBS feature is just the thing I needed to hear to start up some LMU leagues. I don't think any other sim allows outputs of overlays like that directly without an external tool!
Looks like Motorsport games/Studio 397 is in a much better shape since Stephen Hood is the new head. I have much more confidence that LMU is going to be a great product than a year or so ago. Appreciate the in dept video update. Only tip would be to record the voice in a room with less of an echo (sound kinda recorded in a bathroom now).
I don't mind the options for subscription as long as the devs continue to update the game and listen to feedback from the community in order to make the sim as good as possible.
9:21 : I hope HUDs will not be so close to the center of the view as on the image bellow. It completely destroy the immerison. Put them more outwards (now are much better places, even though they are a tad too much out). Best would be it the locations of the HUDs are configurable.
This is great and all.. but im still having problems with the game freezing, kicking me out randomly. I can't even pause a race without it kicking me off. Any ideas?
Maybe take a look at the rolling starts online … excited about the content obviously but had so many unexplainable penalties on starts ? Using heads up for staying in line and below the speed .. pit limiter on … and penalty as soon as the race goes green ..
if your accelerating and braking to much it'll hit you. if the HUD is visible your not in the right postion and will get one. the HUD disappears when you are in the correct spot

It’s the fact the “red wave “ appears before I even set off … then disappears and says catch up … I do exactly that .. use the speed limiter when it says to hold speed … I’ve had so many and I change nothing from when I don’t get them … it’s the inconsistency that’s annoying … trust me I know im not the only one who experiences the issue … why it just needs looking at … if it was simple and something I was doing … I could fix my starts … I’ve posted loads of examples on my channel (shorts usually ) Had another today . Watch it and see if you can figure it out . ?

Once set up right, playing this in VR + motion rig is probably the most fun/realistic physics and ffb so far. However, it would be great to simplify the online aspect. Hopefully there will be more players to race against online, doesn’t matter what class, just include a server for people to practice getting their PBs. Also need more settings for tweaking such as sharpness level and mirror. Apart from that I enjoy the driving aspect above other sims due to the “analog feel”.
We appreciate all your hard work guys and since you again mension co-op mode, you should re-design this feature and turn it into a real co-op in which we can actually play together. Maybe the players driving on the same team could play as driver / spotter and vice versa while changing seats. How cool could this be :)

Correct. Mr. Hood was employed at Codemasters as Chief Game Designer from March 2009 to November 2011 and later as Creative Director from November 2011 to December 2013... So the early days of Codemasters F1.
this update is the one ive been waiting for to make the switch from ACC full time. League racing is the only reason I'm not full time on LMU. My only question as an Australian with the online championships etc is the TOD the races will be put on. I get we are a small portion of the player base as it's hard enough getting an arvo/night daily race in anything other then bronze mid week. Weekend mornings are the only time Silver is even an option.

Just stated this sim on Saturday last week, not even close, this is my go to sim now! Coming from iRacing, I need to learn how to break again but it’ll be worth it.

You guys came a long way with this game. It looks absolutely fantastic! My only problem is that it is still not really single player focused. I really hope that in future updates we will see new features for single player. Championship mode maybe? Drivers change with AI teammates (also for AI opponents as well)? Maybe some kind of career mode? You have great basis for that, with the content and decent AI already! I keep my fingers crossed for some single player updates since I just don't have time to focus on multiplayer and I really would love to enjoy everything you prepared so far!

Deciphering the video, it looks like the example has 4 hours and 45 minutes total which requires 500 credits. Since the total shown is $7.50, it looks like it is about $1.50/hour. Although it will probably depend on the number of driver slots also.
My full support for the Le Mans Ultimate subscription I see it logical that simracing in general does not have the numbers of LOL for example and people should take into account that workers need a salary.
So how come the studio behind ACC and ACE and AC1 does just fine without charging for a subscription? How come AMS 2 & raceroom, neither of those charge a subscription fee and they're doing just fine? Can you lick their boots any harder?
They don't offer the same service that is being offered here in exchange for your sub. If they had the service, they would probably ask you to pay for it.
Almost from the beginning I was more with Iracing..since the launch !! I tried the rest of the available simulators..but I stayed with Irqcing...I'm a vr simracer...I'm really curious it works

Agree 100% this was one of the very strong features of rf2 and LMU continued doing this really well. I hope there are more tracks coming.
I went to COTA for WEC this year and even the fan paddock is similar to real life.

will the 488 be balanced on par with the 296 and the rest? or does the old model take a performance hit? (as it prob should, right?)
All 4 LMGT3's are balanced between them. The Ferrari 488 GTE is a different class to the Ferrari 296 LMGT3 so won't be similar in pace.
Le Mans Ulitmate feels so much better in terms of realism than any other sim (iracing included).

So how come the studio behind ACC and ACE and AC1 does just fine without charging for a subscription? How come AMS 2 & raceroom, neither of those charge a subscription fee and they're doing just fine? Can you lick their boots any harder?
They don't offer the same service that is being offered here in exchange for your sub. If they had the service, they would probably ask you to pay for it.

Almost from the beginning I was more with Iracing..since the launch !! I tried the rest of the available simulators..but I stayed with Irqcing...I'm a vr simracer...I'm really curious it works
