The gas tank vent goes into the small bump out in the red cover in between the carb and gas tank. At 16:37 of your video the bump out is shown perfectly, right on the red cover. you slip in up in there.
It seems important that the two upper hoses that came out were short and straight so they would be at the top, out of the fuel. (Vent lines) The hoses that when back in were much longer and presumably will hang down into the fuel. Oops! That can't be good ...
Maybe the next time you rebuild the carburetor you'll actually rebuild it! Swapping a rebuilt carb out is not rebuilding it. Thank you for the waist of time.
Nice video but the title is a bit miss-leading. The carburetor was replaced, not rebuilt.
Great video, will be using this for this years fix

At 5.29 you get a perfect shot behind the throttle cable to the left of the vent.
11.54 is even a better shot

Can anyone tell me the generation of this mantis? I think the carburetor has been fouled out by the wrong fuel.
He replaced the original gasket w/4 small holes w/the one with 1 small hole, even though the new one came w/a gasket w/4 small holes - ???
I can't believe you didn't start the engine.
