    I have one of these, it's about 20 years old, brilliant little machine. It's been back to Mantis once in that time for a full service. Had it out with the scarifier attachment on it today.

    What do the three tubes do that go in the fuel tank? One's a breather right? Should that not be submerged in the pertrol?
    How do you know that the tubes were the correct length before?

    Hey, if you didn’t put on a new carb, what was the result of your cleaning efforts on the old carb?

    I am currently waiting foir the replacement carb I ordered to arrive to get my Mantis operational again. It is a pretty good little workhouse when it runs right.

    Hi was just wondering if you were having the same issue as me with fuel leaking out of the side of the carb and running down onto the ground after sitting.

    • @design2survive
      @design2survive  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. But I put a new carb on this one.

      @@design2survive I put the exact same carb on and it still does it. Runs out the side down the filter and I have a little pool of fuel that's ran out.

    You have the tines set for WEEDING. meaning they are scratching the surface. If you swap them out so the tines face towards the ground they will dig down into the soil

    Just buy a tune-up kit for it. $16.95 which comes with a new carburetor, new fuel lines with plug, new spark plug and gaskets.

    You better grease that gear box before the gear goes dry ,that gear is more expensive of buying a new transmission.

  • @TheRockeye007
