Brother straight up this is the best mantis tiller troubleshooting video I have seen on TH-cam !!!! I have an older mantis that I have yet to get started. And haven’t even went into depth with it. But you sure showed me how . Thank you greatly
That mantis is identical to mine even the zama carb with no purge bulb. That is probably an SV4/A engine. Carb kits are cheap. Like 7 to. 10 dollars. So yes it was a good buy.
Nice score. I'd put a few table spoons of 85-140 gear oil in that gear box. Or change it and put in CV joint grease so it flows around. Always amazes me how thick grease can do anything when its flung away from the places it's needed.
You don't need to order anything. The problem is inside the fuel tank. There is a stone filter on the end of the fuel line and it's most likely plugged with oil. If they run too much oil in the fuel it will plug that filter.

Thanks I’ll check that filter out
CV grease seems like a good idea. Thanks!
How is it? we have a skidsteer that is the same, and i am putting a carburetor rebuild kit in that same tiller lmao 🤣
LOL, To funny. The tiller works and runs great after the rebuild kit. Much easier to get into my raised beds than my big rear tine tiller.
