- The BBQ Quarter (named by myself) is an area in Dar where you will find popular BBQ joints within walking distance of each other. Here you will find restaurants like Natasha, Sumi's, Meher, Ten to Ten, Ali's, Mamboz, Chilli & Spice, etc. All serving similar kind of food a variation in taste. This time I stopped at Al Aqib for dinner.

Brings back. Thank. You
Yah sure. I grew up in Kariakoo....went to Bunge Primary School (Swahili medium) and practically spent most of my time playing in the streets. We all spoke Swahili mostly so it has stuck with me lol

Wow nice video 📹.
Reminds me of my childhood memories 🇹🇿 in the old days...
Sugar cane juice 🍺 and Khalid for BBQ food. 😊
Miss the great food 🍢🥮🍲 and lovely beaches! 🏖
Regards from London 🇬🇧.

Hello brother.
Are the streets named by street signs. I don't remember
If they were there.
I do look at the filming you have done. I mean the whole place
Has just changed. I think I will
Have to go around with a guide. I still have family in Dar.
You have done a good job
Bringing all those memories
Back. Best wishes to you and
Family.
Yah...they have street signs on most streets now. But yah...loads of changes and most of the old buildings gone

Upanga is a good area..Quiet and peaceful and yet not far from City Centre. Otherwise City Centre is also good with all these food joints etc. If you have a car, then I would suggest Upanga anytime. More open area for kids to play and some good schools around too.
