I bought one. Shoots very accurately, very reasonable price, reliable, easy field strip, big capacity. You're right--an underrated gem! --meta4

Rules for self-defense. 1) Stay out of dangerous unfamiliar places. 2) Be aware of your surroundings and suspicious people. 3) Retreat from dangerous situations if possible. 4) Use a weapon as a last resort.

I own a bersa thunder.380 and I love it, never had a problem with jams or misfires and it is very accurate for such a short barrel

Do they reliably feed hollowpoint ammo?

Very nice. I have the single stack verson. It has jammed a time or two. But never when it's clean with good ammo. Bersa trigger is awesome. Definitely a high quality gun.

Do not carry your weapon on "safe." Carry it with a round in the chamber, decocked, safety off, and in a secure holster that covers the trigger and trigger guard. If you ever need to draw your weapon it will be ready to immediately fire on double action with subsequent rounds fired single action until run dry or decocked by using the decocking mechanism. If you pocket carry you still need a holster (a pocket holster). I recommend the DeSantis Nemesis.

Fixed barrel pistols are inherently more accurate than Glocks or any tilt barrel designs.

Nice pistol. I have the old thunder single stack version and it’s 100% reliable. I do like the double stack one and if I had a few dollars to waste I’d buy one. Hope you have the same success I had with my Bersa.

Graydog 0126 so far it’s been awesome. Single stacks are quite a bit smaller which is definitely nice, but I like the extra capacity the plus offers.

Great points. If you think you are going to lose the gun, drop the mag. The total lock is for if you do not shoot it for a long time, and it is moved to the back of the safe, just lock it up. I just got S&W model 63 .22LR, and it has a total lock on it. I think it is a requirement for export.

This and the SRP 8L are two of the greatest clones I have come across in a very rapidly increasing clone market. The Gerson Barretta clones are nothing to sneeze out either. In fact, Gerzon produces a 2011 that’s around 11 $1200 that looks like it might actually be worth it, especially considering most of us cannot afford a 2011, but personally me having lost, almost all of my collection minus my HKP 30 LS which I would never part with as it has been by far my best defense pistol and I cut my teeth on HK in combat alongside. You know originally the Beretta M9, but having never owned a CV 75 and own almost every other major pistol on the SRPL is now at the top of my list especially since I am now selling my Walter PPKS 22 not because I hate the gun but because I think I got a lemon and so I am gonna send it off to warranty get it fixed, for the second time I have a policy where for gun breaks twice for reasons that are not my fault or through some type of incompetence on my end then that gun is to be fixed and sold in an honest way I don’t want somebody to get it you know be pissed but I am I will essentially be able to get the PO which is I compared directly with a CC shadow, which obviously extremely expensive pistol and I also compared this persona Thundercat plus with a Walter PPKS 380 and I would like to also say that, yeah, the bursa across the board superior to the Walter PPKS, or the Walter, PPK, frankly, and the double action on it is actually smoother than Any DSA pistol I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned quite a few, including what I thought today was the king of the DAS in terms of trigger the Sigg. Specifically I had a Sigg P2 20 carry another gun I never should’ve gotten rid of. It was forced to even with the SRT trigger system. Sure the single action was better than the birth of the double action is still better on the bursa which is quite amazing and I am very much looking forward to getting that P8L on the trigger. The single action trigger pole on it was 2.7 pounds and it was a 6 pound double action pole so super awesome pistol 40 ounces it’s what I’m looking for is like a Competition while the P3 is obviously serving more in self-defense/combat roll, and the versa is now tagging along with me for essentially what amounts to some very low risk fairly easy bodyguard work that I’m overqualified for an experience, but I have a broken ass body, so kind of evens out

I just picked mine up after looking through dozens of reviews where I think the worst I ever saw was four out of five stars or eight out of 10 points however, the people like to rate them and I just want to say I also took it alongside my HKP 30 which Out of the 36 pistols that I’ve owned most been pretty damn high-quality on and really only next to strangely a sig 1911 on my first Beretta M9, sig P 220 carry outside of that and two USPs, Glock 19 gen 3, mp shield, hk p2000 .40 LEM which I never should have sold…. the p30 has been the most reliable
After suffering, a medical catastrophe in this also wonderful healthcare system, to which, ironically, the only people I hear like talking about how good it is, are those who were either blessed from birth with a hell of a lot of upward mobility, and I have a lot of money and health problems or those with no health problems so all I can say is, I don’t give a fuck if I’m politicizing it, because it directly affected a gun collection that I worked my ass off to get on over well over $12,000 value going on there with the pistols… so when the dust settled all I had left was my HK P3, LS and a Walter PPK 22 and I had lost anything close to a match grade pistol or a decent compact car defense pistol though I want to say I’m as someone who has seen combat quite extensively I’m not so afraid of my own walking down the street but I still need to carry gun everywhere however I did just recently get a gig requiring protecting some fairly high end through buddy of mine anyway point is technically I’m a volunteer technically I’m paid in tips and that’s totally fine but I wanted gun that I could conceal carry and drop Mary’s pair easy and I was really loving the bursa since it looked like it was superior to the Walter PPK 380 which is in my opinion about two to $300 over priced for what it is so I started looking into the versa extensively as well as the Smith & Wesson equalizer which has a birching gunsmith. I don’t think I could’ve designed a better carry pistol but I was on a super tight budget. I was able to find a brand new of thunder combat plus for 250+ taxes and picked it up yesterday. It was also my first 380.
So the good news in my shoot I did 150 mixed rounds currently packing spear lawman in it I couldn’t afford the defense rounds. I wanted the same that I have in my HK 30 in terms of brand name which is this new ammo called civil defense it’s drainage on both of 380 and 9 mm 50 grain , they both have an insane amount of muscle, velocity and energy transfer rate without much over penetration and reduce coil so really a new ammo technology. In fact I picked up the beta versions of them which were 65 grain originally here in Utah at a place called ammo Inc.
The bad news is that my Walter PPKS 22 broke for the second time in six months and it’s all well it’s not even six months old. Actually I got it November, so I’m gonna make lemonade out of a lemon because my girlfriend has a Walter PK 22 as well that she bought used Has not shown anywhere near the same type of strange shoes that this one has including I sent that out and got new slide back on but broke again so I’m sending it off to Walter to get fixed and I’m gonna be investing in the SRP8L which is a CZ clone the reason I’m bringing up the RP 8L is I compared one right next to a $2000 CC shadow And the triggers were equally good had a ported barrel which was awesome on that equally good sites pretty much equally good. In fact, the star I believe was a little bit heavier coming in at 40 ounces now it’s a hell of a shift going from the PPKS 22 to a 40 ounce CZ clone on the reason I’m doing that is because it was so directly comparable to a $2000 match grade pistol and also takes CZ parts that I feel like I would be an idiot to get it specially since I had to give up my two match grade pistol, a year and a half ago
What the Chasta do with the bursa is an important point for anyone right on the clone market out there for a lot of these guns I’d like to say Gerzon as well having recently started producing Gerson‘s version of the Beretta and the Beretta M9, and the Beretta cheetah both are fantastic and highly affordable is That the bursa most of the I’ve looked at and then the saw as well as the SR nine which is basically something between an HKVP9 and kind of a Walter PDP clone really interesting I mean it basically has the HKVP 9P 30 grips
But again they’re eight and PHL to me where it’s at and once again, I cannot find one negative review of it, and just like with the bursa under the bursa 380 it looks like they’re 9 mm and they’re 45. The verses are fantastic as well pretty damn affordable , so this is really introduced me to the clone market in and around for a while and the thunder 380 has been around in some for or another. I believe it was a call the fire storm previously and mostly I believe the thunder call Matt plus and TPR 380 specifically the TPR 380 is pretty new to the other ones on the 16 round capacities and amazing. It’s also amazing to me that using the small grips all the way around on the HKP 30 to kind of give it more like a 1911 feel the grip on my P 30 long, slide 9 mm is actually not nearly as wide is which is negative. I mean it is 27 different grip configurations on the HKP 30 so I’m hoping to see more start to do stuff like that but as advertised the burst of thunder combat plus has satisfied me for its first day on the job this weekend. I’m gonna try to do another 50 rounds through it some point this upcoming week but I am very satisfied with it, I’m sure the civil defense rounds that I also have in the HK will work very well in this. I am highly confident of that, and it reduced recoil, but increased stopping power, but with less risk of over penetration, so all good Things, the look of it is fantastic. I plan on putting some you dot rears and something like an Ameri glow or inch and then small green dot trim front site so you don’t rear so just line up to one big dot for a quick acquisition quick, drawing from my lumbar support, I guess you can call belly holsters they’re getting pretty popular but I like it cause it supports the lumbar on my back that got tore up pretty bad by an IED so and rheumatoid arthritis hasn’t done any favors so it’s nice to have that basically it’s an OWB and I can also just like wear a little shirt or if acted over it quite easy but click drawing from that 45 feet one handed I was able to consistently hit the Bullseye which was surprising, in fact, at a certain point, I was actually shooting it a tad more accurately than I was the HKP 30 part of that might have been due to me having recently changed the grips, all small swear before I had them medium sides for a bit of a palm swell, which the versa thunder called about plus obviously has the grips on the fantastic sites are a hell of a lot better than with the Walter PPK or PVKS 380 or 22 has the offer hell you could get a combat plus and a versa 380 single stack and double stack and still have enough money for 250 rounds or so and get all that for the price of Walter PPKS 380. In fact, all the reason I can think of to get a Walter PPK 380 which I did see a PPKPPKS but a PPK would be more for the collecting value
So lesson learned when you see a clone of a gun that you like that is getting consistently as good or better reviews like this are PAL, or the bursa under combat plus it pays to look into it at the very least you’ll probably save money though I will say quickly on the thunder combat plus getting mags right now is a bitch Expect to pay 80 $90 and I’m sure someone has mentioned this it hasn’t wasn’t mentioned in the video if I missed it steel case and aluminum case rounds should not be fed through this. It’ll chew up your feed ramp as the feed ramp is anodized aluminum

Before the pandemic, you could find at least one in almost every pawn shop. I picked one up for $175 and it was practically brand new. Looked like the original owner ran a box or two through it and tossed it in a drawer never to be fired again. No wear on it anywhere, inside or out.

If the guy with the knife thought like you, he would have had a pistol. So you both could have "defended" yourselves. What a mess we have. So what is next, rifles? machine guns? flame throwers? Keeping your knives and guns out of sight is the far from perfect but likely the best us fools can do.

I’d like to recommend two pistols that might be in your price range for diff reasons: smith and Wesson equalizer, internal hammer fired not a striker
    SAR p8L
Also will ffs, as a combat veteran will you 2nd amendment guys start bringing up the absolute vile evils of the 13th amendment?! Either you’re pro slavery or anti slavery prisoner or no. Seems cut and dry. As a lefty, far left gun owning combat vet (there are a lot of us and a lot of other commie/socialist gun owners and 99.9% of the time most people getting down on us have no idea what our ideologies are. Just zero lol) so let’s work on common sense science education, combating global warming , a new space race (earth = a watermelon in the middle of an outdoor shooting range with a small portion of it actually having any type of body armor)
Also the SAR p8L is one the best clones I’ve looked at alongside the Girsan beretta clones, but even better as I shot and compared to a $2000 cz shadow and it was basically just as good (and ported, and more weight so this is a home defense/competition da/sa)
And yeah…. Other thing I can’t recommend enough is an HK p30 v1 LEM with grayguns trigger and short reset trigger system. Holy shit it’s…. Talk about absolute trigger control!
