It would be awesome if they did a shot show tour. Hit cities in every region of the US. Have one in Portland or Seattle, have one in Colorado, one in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, North Carolina, New York. Just 1 in each region would be awesome so people could come for a weekend at different times of the winter.

That 380 looks like a clone of the Bersa Thunder, which I own and is an excellent little DA/SA gun, highly under-rated! Disappears in a pocket & I can put several rounds in a softball-sized target at 7 yards with it. Mine came with rubber finger-grooved grips for $269...

Eagle Importers or whoever it was that was previously importing the Bersa either lost their license or couldn’t renegotiate a contract with Bersa a couple years back. There was another importer/distributor in the works but it looks like maybe that fell through.
Either way as an owner of a T380 I’m happy to see them coming back in again, as it should help with magazine availability. Ideally maybe we’ll see some additional development come along in terms of aftermarket support too.

I think its great that RIA has expanded and looks like they are turning out some quality hardware ,,just like PSA is also really turning out alot of quality stuff ,,American made products generally are the best ,,and we pay top dollar for anything thats made in the USA here in Australia, its a pity the gun laws here in Aussie are tighter than a fishes a-hole ,only the rich can afford all the licence and yearly fees you have to pay just to own a bolt gun ,,i grew up with guns and shooting from a very young age , my father taught me to shoot when i was 4 years old and i had my first air rifle (which was to hard for me to load myself till i was 8 )at 6 year old and my first 22 at 12 ,,my first 22 was a bolt gun and the next 2 or 3 were all Ruger 10-22's and then at 15 i had a 222 and then a 270 win ,couple of shotguns ,5 shot semi auto's and ny favorite was my stainless ruger 10-22 ,,man that was a flat shooter ,i got my first Roo at 400 meters with that rifle and 1000 meter with my 270 Winchester, then the gun laws changed dramatically ,,because i wasn't 18 and my father had been in jail for drink driving i had to hand them all in ,i managed to get a licence at first in the northern territory but when it exspired i had changed states and i could not renew it in the new state i moved to so my guns were taken and been gunless ever since ,,it really upsets me how tgis country has gone ,,,its like a half democratic half Chinese commie country now ,,people dont raise our flag or have any prude left these days and well i dont blame them as this is not the country my grandfather went to war for ,2 world wars he fought in and he would be turning in his grave rite now if he new what this country has become ,,its sad guys ,,so whatever your beef is between Democrat or Republican ,,join forces on the 2A front and never never ever give up your guns ,,if anything you and every person in America need about 5 guns each with a couple thousand rounds for each gun in dry storage ,,get trained and be a good shot ,,its all in the breathing my grandfather would say ,,anyway dribled enough ,,,i dont think as Australians we ever thought that the gun control would get so ridiculous ,,,dont ever put your guns on any sort of registry ,,because they will know exactly how many to collect when they decide to make up some random B.S to pinch you with to really only disarm a person ,i think we would have kept our freedom if we had put up a fight and god i wish we had of back then ,they made it sound like they just wanted people to feel safer ,,one law after a law after a law ,law, law ,ban ,ban ,ban until they took mostly all ,,there is still a million odd in circulation that
they never got ,,that is why there is daily gun violents in this country still as it cant be stopped no matter how many laws ,bans and gun confiscations ,,,so many guns out there still after 30 years of taking them off people ,,un registered guns they didn't get and there all the ones the criminals still have and use to do bad things with ,,they are dreaming to think they will get them all ,,more come in every year illegally so they have no hope ,,i just wish i could still shoot and have fun with guns ,,i miss it so so bad it hurts like a MF.

I got a CZ 83 in 380 and it's been my favorite compact in that caliber by far. It's just so easy to shoot, very ergonomic and is double stack. It's still fairly large though. Just need a version with a working decocker.

If they were going to do a Bersa clone, then why not go for the Thunder 380 Plus, since it has a 15 round magazine. Also, it needs better sights or the ability to change sights to something better.

My luck has been hit or miss with RIA, but I like the innovation and the poverty-tier pricing on a lot of their stuff. I will say, the shotguns and pistols aren't made by the same manufacturers. The RIA Imports / Armscor International shotguns come from Turkey (made by Derya if I'm not mistaken). The pistols, I believe, are made in the Phillipines, at least their 1911s. The 10mm 1911 I had worked well, especially for the price, whereas of the two shotguns I've owned the VRPA 40 was trash whereas the Meriva works great and looks to have at least some parts compatibility with Rem 870 parts (like side saddles and mag tube end caps).

I have their import VR80 semi auto shotgun and its growing in the competition shooting field. No its not a Berretta but its an amazing semi auto for about $600.00. I have RIA doublestack 199's and have been a longtime fan of them as well. They make more 1911's than anybody in the Phillipines. The new USA plant in Utah is up and running putting out shotguns and the new 5.0 so that is great news!

That Makarov-looking gun used to be all-steel and was chambered in 9x18 - not .380. Thsi was an issue here in the Philippines as Armscor was selling it as .380. It was a good and accurate gun - so long as you use the right ammo. Just inspect it well before buying.
Also, for some odd reason, RIA is cheaper in the USA than here in the Philippines. Suxx.

I always root for RIA, my buddy got two of their 1911s years ago when nobody had really heard of them here and they both shot great and were dead on reliable even though they cost way less than anything else on the market. These days theres quite a few lower priced 1911 makers out there but that wasn't always so. It's cool to see them doing new things. The RIA 5.0 looks sweet. Not sure there's much of a market for the .380 though. You can get something lighter with 4 more rounds capacity just as cheap so not sure there's a big market for a steel da/sa .380 single stack above what the Bersa already fills just fine. Plus you could always grab a CZ83 for an extremely well-made da/sa all metal .380 that holds 12 rounds.

These are some new whiz bang guns from RIA however anyone considering purchasing these items note that armscor and RIA have terrible customer service. I purchased a 5inch 9mm Tac Ultra double stack 1911 style pistol as my first foray into the 2011 world. It’s actually a very good Gun and very fun to shoot. It’s pretty accurate and probably a very good buy for the money (the finish isn’t high end but not bad). I was concerned that the detente for the thumb safety might be a bit loose since I kept accidentally deploying it, which does not happen with my other 1911 and my staccato. In an abundance of caution (and before the warranty ran out) I sent the gun back to armscor / RIA. There is an expected 6-8 week turnaround time. My pistol was sent back fedex and received at their facility 12/19/2022. Since that time I have not had any confirmation they have received the firearm, let alone looked at it. I have emailed them several times and have called and Placed on cosmic hold three times without being able to speak with anyone. All I want is confirmation they have the weapon and that they are working in it so I can relax that the gun wasn’t stolen or misplaced. Hopefully this enthusiastic salesperson will read this and forward it to their customer service department.
