I have the Thunder and Thunder Plus. Love both of them. I hold the grip about 1/2 inch below the beavertail and have no issues. My state has a 10-round limit on mags so I have to drive to PA to get the 2nd mag.
I really like the concealed carry version!! A little smaller, lighter, and it is 8+1 very nice!! My daughter bought this handgun and she likes it!! The decocker function is great. She bought the Muddy girl edition so she was able to put on the pink muddy girl grips. Also came with a nice size pink case!!
I love my BTplus I have the Black on black, I put a hogue slip on grip and it helped a lot with comfort, I have big hands so I was experiencing the same issues as you, I also put slightly larger night sights on it Front and rear big difference, but all in all stock out of the box it was a really good gun. I would recommend this gun.
Awesome little 380. The double stack is a plus.the grip is very comfortable .super accurate and reliable .but hard to find a extra mag, and you'll pay for it! I have not found anything about this gun I can really complain about.also super easy to disassemble and clean.
I have the single stack version and that double action Geiger will get better and better the more you shoot it. Mine has THE BEST TRIGGER except for my 1911 I've ever felt.
The double stack magazine is awesome I would like 2 have one for myself. I have the single stack magazine and a extended 10 round magazine. I like this over my S&W bodyguard!
I tried getting the plus today, but 11 pages from 4 different distributors were all sold out. I went with the standard Bersa Thunder .380 instead. Very nice demonstration! 👍
Value, quality and reliable. Nice 380 great review! Thanks for doing it. The second mag cost me $75 on gunbroker but still under $300 including the 2nd mag? No brainer
in California were only allowed the Bersa firestorm..but after 2 months of waiting i was able to purchase one on line from sportsman warehouse in Stockton ca. for 269.99$ supply's for these pistols are limited and you have to be fast or miss out until the next shipment arrives, but i'll be happy to have it once i pick it up and start my utube review on it, of course there are no loaded factory ammo to buy so i will be casting and handloading my own ammo.
Same here. Was wondering where the thunder was here in Salinas, so as a 1st time gun purchase i went with the firestorm. Hadn't been to the range due to covid. So i went to the mountains in Hollister (san benito county) to (practice)...bad move...all in all, court case dismissed, i get my baby back tomorrow.
Cool video. I just ordered one online in nickel for only $327 and I was able to find not one but two extra mags and a decent deal on some Maxxtech ammo. Can't wait for them all to arrive so I can hit the range.
i will tell you this much its a great gun for its price and if you really look for it you can find it for $250 now i will tell you that finding the magazines will be hard to find they are always on back order/out of stock so be ready for that and ammo is pretty expensive for it i know its like $40 for 100 bullets you can find some deals online but overall its a great gun like this video said you might get that "besra" bite from the beaver tail i think i heard someone say you can just smooth it out and it wont do it no more
Jacob Tabickman you’re welcome! I don’t think you’d be disappointed. I wish mags were cheaper and more available. It’s kind of a trip shooting a .380 and fighting the instinct to reload after every 7 or 8 rounds. :D
I have a Hungarian 380 that I like. I have been considering getting the Bersa Thunder Plus as a second 380 handgun. I like the 15-shot magazine capacity of the Bersa verses the 7-shot of my Hungarian 380. I like the adjustable rear sight of the Bersa verses the fixed sight of my Hungarian 380. I like the fixed barrel of both handguns.
The Plus is great but good luck getting another mag. A back mag cost me $50 and took a month to find. Also, if you know anyone who is interested in a custom nickelplated slide with glow in the dark dots in the sight let me know.
Having never shot a 380 I'm curious what the recoil impulse feels like (not just the amount). By the looks of it, I imagine it feels like the gun is punching directly back against the palm and into the wrist? Because there actually doesn't appear to be a lot of muzzle rise.
It's hard to describe what a blowback pistol feels like compared to a locked breech. I would say generally it feels sharper/quicker or more abrupt. There isn't a TON of recoil but it feels like it happens all at once, if that makes sense. The wider grip on the 380 plus makes it more pleasant to shoot than, say, a Walther PPK or PPK/S, which I find very unpleasant in .380 ACP. There isn't a lot of muzzle rise, as you noted. Total recoil energy isn't likely very much, but it still feels pretty sharp.
@@jeffshootsstuff Ok thanks for the response. I have a bum right wrist, and while I can handle 9mm and sorta 45, maybe should think twice about blowback 380. (I do hear the Grand Power 380 is amazingly soft for a 380 fwiw)
I had one of these but in all black. The sharp edge of the beaver tail cutting into my hand is the only reason I sold it. It was a great little pistol otherwise.
Up to you. If you primarily shoot one type of ammo and it doesn't hit to your desired POA, then IMO it's worth installing new sights. But it's a personal choice. I generally will use Dawson Precision's calculator and install one of their fiberoptic front sights that hits to my desired POA.
Your particular gun may be picky with JHP ammo. You might try a different brand or a more rounded profile. If it's a continuing problem I'd contact Bersa and see what they say.
@@jeffshootsstuff I'm going to get about 200 rounds of ball ammo and some different hollow points if it don't run flawless I'm going to trade it in for a revolver what I really want is a Beretta 380 but they discontinued so if this thing keeps jamming I'm going to train it in on a seven shot 357 Magnum Smith & Wesson my Beretta 92A1 9 mm he is my standard issue EDC I bought the I bought the bersa 380 plus thunder is something just to put in my pocket but I don't deal with unreliable pistols I might need it one day to save my life and it jam up and I get my ass tore off
I spoke with the head of the Bersa American warranty/gun smith office in Indiana. Said there is a hardline 300 round break in before hollow points and before you get the reliability you want for a ccw
In the US the current price from places like Bud's Guns is about $400 USD. I paid a bit less from Classic Firearms but they are out of stock right now.
WARNING!!!!! NEVER BUY A BERSA. I have a thunder pro 9, lost a rear sight, have been trying for about 10 years to replace it. You cannot get this sight in the us. If you do not believe me try for yourself. Bersa has been out of stock for 10 years, worst customer support EVER. My bersa is now a cool paper weight.
Hard to find this beauty, every where I go is sold out. Great video, thank you!
Thanks for watching!

That's trigger not gieger
The "play by play " comments in between shots was for me, the best of all reviews that I have seen on any firearms.
Many thanks!
The double stack magazine is awesome I would like 2 have one for myself.
I have the single stack magazine and a extended 10 round magazine.
I like this over my S&W bodyguard!
I have this and a bersa mod 85 basically same thing but steel frame 13+1 and it is way more softer shooting with that steel frame love it
Cool. Haven’t heard of that one.
I tried getting the plus today, but 11 pages from 4 different distributors were all sold out. I went with the standard Bersa Thunder .380 instead. Very nice demonstration! 👍
I have one of these guns and what I did ti all the sharp edges, was just to sand them a little with fine sandpaper and problem solved.
It’s nice to have in house range.
Batcave
😂real nice Batcave, I wish to have one. You got an awesome setup there sir.
Just got me the Bersa 380 thunder.
Nice firearm.
Cool. Congrats! Finding any ammo? ;)
Been looking for ammo, but no luck yet.
Is that the regular Thunder or Thunder Plus. Have the Plus n it is fitted for both 10 n 15 round mags.
@@larryworkman1131 mine is 8 plus 1.
@@stevenhall1097 Not a Thunder Plus. Just a regular 380 Thunder.

I found a spare mag for about $40. Keep your eyes open
If I had to spend 75 dollars for an extra magazine I would sell the gun🤷
I mean you’re not wrong 😂
This is a nice little gun.Good video by the way.
Thanks!
Love this gun. The 3 dot sights help accuracy 100%
Have the combat version....excellent firearm....Bersa should provide 2 magazines.....because the second mag is hard to find and is expensive.
Agreed!

I'm looking to make this my first pistol, I like the large capacity mag for both learning to shoot and simply not reloading after six bullets.

@@pabloconstanza5618 No bite with the Bersa guns. The old Walther had that problem, but Bersa changed the design to eliminate that issue.

Just got one, havent shot it yet since i am still trying to find 380 acp😅 but im excited!
outstanding i have one on order.
Excellent. Let us know how you like it!
Also, the Combat slide fits on the Plus as well.
First time I've seen someone shoot with a scarf on, I have to say I am impressed and the scarf looks nice.
Thanks. It gets cold in there. :D
Good Video and just Subscribed. Thanks a lot!
Welcome! thanks for the sub!
Hermosa pistola y muy precisa...!!! 👏👏👏👏👌👌👌👍👍👍
i regret not getting the all black one.
Why any regrets? Does it show dirt that much more easily?
The mag release is extremely hard to operate.
I passed on this one just due to that

If it was a breach lock barrel to reduce the recoil even more, it'd be the gun the God made
Lol
Wondering if I just have to break in my thunder combat. But I was shooting low also with 95 grain Remington. Should I adjust sights?

Your right the rear sights are weird. Its like the front and back sights came from a different gun
I just bought a bread new one it keeps jamming with hollow point ammo is there a break in period with ball ammo required does anyone know
