For anyone who can not wear regular eyeglasses due to pressure points on their ears or side head even if they are doing sport activities.
I have met some people who gets a headache just for wearing a regular sunglasses or eyeglasses.

Over the top indeed. I always looked @ those and thought why? Oakley did launch a pair or two of metal framed glasses alongside these that were cool. They were the ones that exploded in the intro to mission impossible (1 or 2, I forget).
