The more I listen to this work, the more amazing it becomes. What a beautiful and sentimental melody. You can feel Schubert's dreams, hopes, and sadness in a real way. Der Umgang mit Vibrato ist schon sehr verschieden zwischen Vi und Vc. Jeder Bläserton schwingt, jede/r Sänger/in. Soviel flache Töne der Violine hat sich Schubert wahrscheinlich nicht vorgestellt.
Wouldn't it be better to use a more relaxed tempo and have more leeway in tone and expression?
He's dragging the violin, not making a statement, violin or the cello if you don't account for the piano then you're lost. You are making a statement, not a "how would I when would I" the piano is the masterpiece or should be at least in this case. OP violins, it's just I am making comment as I feel it. The piano player could do some more it would be as if he was the conductor.
