A lesser known Beethoven sonata, but such a beautiful one. My deceased friend, Joe Bloom, a great pianist himself, told me that Beethoven not only reinvented the piano sonata, but did so time and time again. This sonata is one of those brilliant reinventions. This performance flows - so sensitive, so honest, just the perfect match between score and performance.
I very much enjoyed hearing this wonderful Bach pianist play Beethoven. It's a rather thoughtful, lyrical performance which doesn't emphasise the drama in the music as much as some other pianists do. Looking forward to an opportunity to hear her live.
Wundervoll. Sie erinnert mich hier doch ziemlich stark an die große Alicia de Larrocha. Einfach, direkt, perlend, rational und doch mit viel Gefühl. Fantastisch, großartig. Ich hoffe sehr dass sie auch ein paar Konzerte bei uns in der Nähe gibt.

I appreciate the tempo choice for the 1st movement. It allows for the lyricism and shape of the phrases to shine.
