    I have everything but this ring...cam I use bands or dumbbells to improvise?

      Definitely - ring is optional. You can even do it bodyweight.

    I normally love GymRa and all of their videos. I’ve done many by Lesley that have been challenging but she was always good about offering modifications to accommodate all fitness levels. The issue I had with this video was that NO modifications were given for those us us without a Pilates ring. I am a single mom with very limited time for working out, so it was frustrating to not get a good workout when the description and intro specifically said no equipment was necessary. So disappointed.

      The ring is not required for these exercises to be effective and the movements would not change much, if at all, without the ring. You can follow along as is without the ring or substitute it for a dumbbell / band if you want more resistance!

      @@Gymra Just sharing my experience with the group as someone who completed this without access to the ring. Using dumbbells/bands/bodyweight (which I attempted) was not possible for many of the exercises and it should not be marketed as a modification. This is a workout for someone with the correct equipment.

      Hi Missy! Do you have an IO ball? That is a nice substitute for the ring. You can do this workout without the ring and just pretend it’s there… you won’t be able to do the squeezes but will still be able to work your core and get benefits. There are other workouts without the ring though if you prefer. 😊
