I love Taylor soooo much I think she's such an amazing person and has a gorgeous voice, I really really like her music!!!😊 Super thank youuu for recording this video Audrey!!!
its my favorite too. Basically Grammy thought “Swift is cancelled” so they snubbed her and not put her on any nominations but then with folklore they slapped themselves in the face 🎉🎉
What breaks me everytime is that she thought Lover is her last chance.... Now, 3,5 years later, she does the biggest tour, and never been a bigger artist...

This is THE very best part of her Eras tour success! She is THE biggest recording artist in the world and has the biggest heart with her fans and crew. 💖
Once you go down the Taylor Swift rabbit hole, you’ll never leave because you’ll love her so much lol I’m so excited to see where your Swiftie journey goes from here!
Her boyfriend Joe and Taylor broke up 2 months ago. But she wrote 5 freaking albums for him. They even co wrote few of the best songs in her discography. Reputation, Lover, Folklore, Evermore and Midnights albums. Literally more than half of her discography. They dated for almost 7 years. Joe is our favourite. He was there for her when she needed the most. He loved her for her. He didn't care about all the tablodis. It's rumoured that they broke up because they drifted apart due to careers. It doesn't matter that they broke up we still support Joe and love him. I mean half of us are rooting for him to get her back.
yes!! i think they'll get back together after some time apart. i think once things calm down with tour etc., they'll find their way back to each other. joe is definitely the best and my favorite person she has been with!
I wouldn't say she wrote those albums FOR him. Apart from the fact that especially folklore and evermore are at least partially fictional, I think it's better to say she wrote those albums about her life and that he was a huge part of that. Which is why a lot of those songs are about him. But I definitely agree that it seems like he was really good for her and made her experience what true love and support is, which makes me really happy for her.
I am so happy she left that arrogant prick him and thankfully she will never ever get back with him. She deserves a better love than what he became in the last years. "Your losing me" only told a small part of what he was like, and I am perplexed how fans didn´t listen to what she actually said in that song and only heard the line about "marry me either"... Her love for him slowly died, she doesn´t feel the same about him anymore. Makes me sick to see people say she should go back to that man🤮
Why does everyone think Taylor's audience is little girls! It's people of all ages! Woman men, teenagers, kids...she brings everyone together! I'm 50 and I adore her she's fantastic!! I'm a Swiftie mom!!!
Agreed 100% I am a 60 yo male i had T S playing, my 5yo grandson looked at me one day and asked me.. Papa Are you a swifty? And I thought about it for a second and I said 🤔yes I guess I am and he smiled a n d said Me Too!
I'm a 56 yo guy, and I think she's terrific. Being honest with myself, my young 20 year old version of myself probably would have dismissed her as just another vapid bubble gum pop singer ... and I would have been terribly wrong. I am completely impressed by her.
I loved this. The documentary is so important to understanding how Taylor really matured and let go of a lot when moving into the reputation rea and beyond. She became the version of herself that she wanted instead of what the world was comfortable with.
@@bip5395 what do you mean lol she has matured. She obviously to a degree cares and hears what people think of her but she doesn't stay silent anymore.
@@bip5395 ....she no longer cares what people think if her, that's maturity, being able to define your self instead of caring about other people's definitions
I know I am late to this party, but watching Ms Americana (been at least 3 times) made me appreciate Taylor and become a swiftie at 66 yo!!! She is awesome!
I was a huge Taylor Swift Fan when was in my teens-more so her country music. Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now and Red were the albums I listened to the most back then. When she drifted off from her country era I wasn’t listening to her as much in my early adulthood.. but now that I’m 27 I’ve gotten more into her newer music and I’m loving her music all over again especially now that she’s re-recording all of her albums! You can tell just how much her voice has grown over the years and it’s so cool to relive her older songs again, it really takes me back to my teenage years! 🥹💜 Taylor Swift is truly a once in a lifetime kind of artist!
I have personally never enjoyed Taylor's music (just not my music type) but I have always loved Taylor. She went through a lot and the media has completely torn her apart, but with all of that she still kept her head high and I can't express how much I adore that. It is so incredibly hard to keep going when it feels like everyone hates you and everyone is talking about you, but she kept going and look at where she is now. Her career is going great and her tour has grossed over a billion dollars in just a couple of months! I'm so happy for her and I'm glad that she is doing much better
Not sure if someone filled you in already. Beyoncé later that night (where she was interrupted) gave her speech time to Taylor so she could finish her speech and have her moment. There’s clips circulating and it was a great moment of women supporting women. Pink also went in on Kanye.
Omg yay I'm so happy you reacted to Taylor's documentary!!! It's an amazing documentary! It's awful the way the media has treated Taylor ever since she was a teen. She is a beautiful person inside and out, and she is insanely talented! Hope to see more Taylor reactions from you!! ☺♥
So happy I found your channel. Yes, Taylor is my hero and I’m a 60 year old woman. My daughter grew up loving TS and I was right there with her. She’s now a 23 year old badass scientist getting her PhD at MIT-Woods Hole and we’re still rooting for Taylor!
The kitten's name is Benjamin Button. He was in the music video for Me. The duet with Brenden. She adopted him afterwards. She also has 2 female cats named Meridith and Olivia named after Meridith Grey from Grey's Anatomy and Olivia Benson from Law & Order: SVU
Have you watched her Reputation tour? Honestly, it's more epic than any "epic" I've ever seen in my 53 years of life..and I wasn't even a fan until about a year ago when I started caring about her journey, her lyrics, and the evolution and massive progression/improvement of her VOICE! Just a true queen. Thx for sharing. Loved this whole video.🤩
Her process falling in love with Taylor, is exactly what my process was. As a 57 year old woman with a 17 year daughter.....had no idea until my girl needed to see TS live. I got a whole education about TS. Understand, I had no ooooooh idea how much I would care for her as a human. She brings me to tears. Every song is an anthem for girl power❤
Yes! Taylor Swift is an artist who I will continue to defend and praise, because she evolves both artistically and personally. Looking forward to seeing you react to her evolution.
Watched this last week. Developed much respect for Taylor. I've always been a hardcore rap and rock fan until 2014 when I randomly heard "I know places (1989)" playing on the radio. Taylor's song writing is immaculate it unlocked parts of my mind and soul I never had access to before. Now I'm a baby Swiftie for life
Ok this never even occurred to me until now, but the VMA interruption happened in 2009. Kanye said something awful to her, she thought the crowd was booing her and then....John Mayer started saying all these really wonderful things about her very publicly and she started dating him a couple months later. He got to her when she was in a VERY vulnerable place emotionally in addition to being 19 and naive. I'm crying.
I can't wait to see your journey begin. You're right. You'll hear and see that the quality of her vocals improves every year. And not just the quality, but the note and stylistic choices too. She's become the complete package. Please don't neglect her live performances, especially from the 1989 era on.
Your Editor David is wise. Taylor’s still such a theater kid at heart, and the huge production of the Eras Tour really proves it. Would love to see your reaction to her Eras Tour performances of My Tears Ricochet and Tolerate it - the production and emoting is top tier. Ms. Swift is a Boss. Her happy/nervous dance after hitting post on her social message speaking out before the ‘18 midterms was so relatable. As resolute as she was, she also knew how extreme the reaction might be - so that point of no return moment after hitting send felt so real.
When Taylor was a kid and was going to middle school she was bullied and didn't had much friends. Until high school her kinda only real friend was her mom and rest of her family. Kids bullied her because she was different than them and wanted to be a country singer. I think this might be one of reasons that triggered this TRAINED HAPPINESS for her.
I'm a GenX Swiftie who's new to the scene, so I'm not sure I can say that! But I am ALL IN, after my Rabbit hole of all things TAYLOR. Learning she directs, produces as well sells out arenas around the globe performing just blows my mind. What a spectacular human. Well done, mom and dad.
That moment where it goes from the concert to the silence in the car always gives me goosebumps. So many people, but especially those in the entertainment industry, deal with that juxtaposition and it must be very unsettling and maybe even traumatizing to someone who lives off of that praise. Same with the Kanye thing and her thinking people are booing her. It reminds me of Matthew Perry (Chandler from Friends), who said that when one of his improvised jokes didn't get laughs or not as much reaction as he expected, the silence devastated him. 😞
I’m a Swiftie who just found your channel and I love your reaction! If I want a good cry, I can watch this. I feel protective of her like she’s my little sister after watching her open up in the movie. Just love her. 🥹
Taylor Swift is one of the highest selling music artists of all time. She has released 10 studio albums-Taylor Swift (2006), Fearless (2008), Speak Now (2010), Red (2012), 1989 (2014), Reputation (2017), Lover (2019), Folklore (2020), Evermore (2020), and Midnights (2022); and three re-recorded albums-Fearless (Taylor's Version) (2021), Red (Taylor's Version) (2021), and Speak Now (Taylor's Version) (2023). All were supported by varying number of singles, apart from her non-album songs and collaborations, and were commercially lucrative and positively received by music critics. Billboard noted that only a handful of artists have had Swift's trifecta of chart success, critical acclaim, and fan support, resulting in her widespread impact. Several publications note Swift's popularity and longevity as the kind of "ceaseless" fame and "global influence" unseen since the 20th century. To CNN, Swift began the 2010s decade as a country star and ended it as an "all-time musical titan". New York author Jody Rosen dubbed Swift the world's biggest pop star, leaving her peers "vying for second place". The New York Times author Ben Sisario compared Swift's cultural dominance to that of Michael Jackson and Madonna in the 1980s, calling it something the "entertainment business had largely accepted as impossible to replicate in the fragmented 21st century."[9] Swift is the richest female musician in history with music as the only main source of income (US$740,000,000, as of 2023).[10] Cultural omnipresence Edit "Taylor Swift is the biggest thing going in the entertainment industry. Turn on the TV or radio, scroll social media, listen to talk on the street, and there she is." Shirley McMarlin, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review (2023)[11] Journalists describe Swift as a cultural touchstone. The Guardian columnist Greg Jericho dubbed Swift a "cultural vitality" whose consistent popularity, accentuated by the era of internet, surpassed that of the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen and U2, all of whom had a short-lived commercial and critical prime, whereas Swift continued to find success in the 18th year of her career with Midnights. Jericho cited numeric 2022 infographics showing that only Drake, Kanye West and Beyoncé could compete with Swift in terms of popularity.[12] Chris Molanphy of Slate stated that Swift's career has lasted longer than that of the Beatles, breaking the band's once-deemed "unbeatable" records.[13] Elle described her as a "pop megastar at celestial echelons",[14] and Vanity Fair called her "the biggest pop star in the world".[15] Within celebrity culture, Swift's music, life, and image are points of attention.[16] Swift became a teen idol upon the release of her eponymous debut studio album in 2006,[17] and has since become a dominant figure in popular culture,[18] often referred to as a pop icon or diva. Gayle Pamerleau of the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg credited globalization for Swift's fame and called her a social contagion benefitting "from existing in a time of 24-hour, global connectedness, when everybody knows what everyone else is thinking and doing." Kristy Fairclough of the University of Salford dubbed Swift "the center of the cultural universe." The Ringer's Kate Knibbs wrote, Swift is inescapable as her music saturates "deep into the tissue of contemporary public life whether we like it or not." Hence, Swift's career choices result in reforms in the music industry. In a 2016 article, Billboard opined that despite having had only a decade-old career, Swift had shown an "undeniable" cultural impact. USA Today looked to hire a "Taylor Swift reporter" in 2023, noting how her fanbase and musical and cultural significance have "grown to unprecedented heights". Time included Swift on its 2010, 2015 and 2019 rankings of the 100 most influential people. In 2014, she was named to Forbes' 30 Under 30 list in the music category. Swift became the youngest woman to be included on Forbes' list of the 100 most powerful women in 2015, ranked at number 64. She was the most googled woman in 2019 and musician in 2022.
I’ve loved Taylor since RED came out, but I wouldn’t say I was a fan until she released reputation. That album came out at such a pivotal time in my life, and it felt incredibly relatable then. I never understood why so much of the fan base slept on the album back then… it really was sad. I’m just glad it’s starting to now get the love and attention it deserved back then. Cannot wait for her to release reputation (tv)!!! I hope you enjoy your journey with Taylor’s whole catalog! She really is a mastermind ☺️
Her MVs are fantastic especially her 1989 and Reputation eras. Then she started directing and her All Too Well Short film is epic and won all kinds of awards.
I look forward to watching your talor journey! Personally I'd love to see your reaction to Taylor's "I Did Something Bad" live.. I think you'd enjoy her vibe!
She has repeatedly said she doesn’t talk to any therapists, that ‘she has her mom’. Her mom is great, both her parents are & are loved by fans (and they are divorced but still spend a lot of time together when it come to Taylor), but she needs someone else who isn’t so close to it.
It hurts SO BAD knowing her and Joe are now broken up :( 6 years though! They were a force, even the fact he wrote songs with her and played instruments for her
@@SongsFromASuitcase yes, Joe is the guy you saw in the documentary. He is an actor and has been a part of Oscar nominated movies and he is from London. They broke up 2 months ago due to their careers. But they dated for almost 7 years and gave us the best music. Taylor dedicated the whole Reputation and Lover albums to Joe. They created the fictional world in Folklore and Evermore together in quarantine. They even co wrote the best songs in those two albums. Joe under the name William Bowery. And now he's a Grammy winner too. Even half of the songs in Midnights album was about him. And now all of us realise Midnights was more of a breakup album. She was not ready to let him go. We all feel sad tho. They were our mom and dad. All we hope is for them to get back together. I informed this to you because if you are going to react to Taylor's albums, it's good to know the background. Taylor's music is her diary. Starting from the album Reputation, if you hear a romantic song, just know it's about Joe.
Once you go through her music and examine how she has grown and evolved, I'd suggest trying folklore again (not just because it's my favorite album of all time). 😊
OMG, thank you for you reaciton ! I recommend you the reputation tour movie, it's amazing how you can feel the atmosphere of her concerts ! Love you and your content !
I love Taylor so much! for the last 14 years she's calmed me down and hyped me up. Wish I could join your patreon to watch everything Taylor related with you but unfortunately, because of my cuntries currency, and it gest a little expensive for me! Hope you release part of the videos here on youtube! Welcome to the swiftie universe
9:32 We studied these things during psycholgy courses at uni. and it is frankly so heartbreaking, the core behind these kind of thoughts. Development psychology is no joke. It’s tied to the attachment people (the parent/s).
Rewatching this I’m happy she found happiness now. She’s doing the biggest tour ever and is supported by family, friends and a good boyfriend whose family also loves her!
Regarded as a trailblazer of the 21st century, Swift is known for her versatile musicality, songwriting prowess and business acuity that have inspired numerous artists and entrepreneurs worldwide. She began in country music, seeped into pop, and explored alternative rock, indie folk and electronic styles, blurring music genre boundaries. Critics describe her as a cultural quintessence wielding a rare combination of chart success, critical acclaim, and intense fan support, enabling her to have a wide impact on and response from the music industry and beyond. With a strong political and economic leverage, Swift has used her influence and social media power to spotlight issues within the industry and society at large, such as fostering reforms to Spotify, Apple Music, Ticketmaster and recording contracts, and drawing attention to artists' rights, masters, intellectual property, corporate greed, sexism and racism, while being a subject of scrutiny and controversy. From the end of the album era to the rise of the Internet, Swift has been a driving force behind the evolution of music distribution, perception, and consumption across the 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s. Her consistent commercial success is considered unprecedented by journalists, with unique achievements in album sales, digital sales, streaming, airplay, vinyl sales, charts, and touring, simultaneously. Bloomberg Businessweek said Swift is "The Music Industry", one of her many honorific sobriquets. According to Billboard, Swift is "an advocate, a style icon, a marketing wiz, a prolific songwriter, a pusher of visual boundaries and a record-breaking road warrior." Swift is a prominent subject of intellectual research, media studies, and cultural analysis, generally focused on concepts of poptimism, feminism, capitalism, internet culture, celebrity culture, consumerism, Americanism, post-postmodernism, and various sociomusicological phenomena. Despite the perceived polarization of her mass media image, scholars attribute Swift's dominant cultural presence to her musical sensibility and artistic integrity, global and intergenerational appeal, marketing acumen, and the complex sociological relationship between Swift, her fandom, detractors, and the mainstream media. Various academic institutions offer courses on Swift.
She’s also a huge supporter of unions, and her hefty bonuses at the end of the North American Eras tour indicate some idea of revenue-sharing, as well.
taylor is amazing she might not have the best vocals but her songs just so personal and connect to a lot of ppl and I think its comes that she writes, produce and direct all her music alone
i think her vocals are amazing both in the studio versions and live. earlier in her career i can see that her vocals weren't the strongest but her voice has grown so much specifically since 1989 and are amazing now!
You’re hitting the sweet spot I didn’t know I needed! A vocal coach reaction that is also just your emotional connection to what you’re watching, without being heavy on the vocal analysis ❤
I absolutely love listening to your reviews and commentaries on Taylor Swift. I checked the weather videos another artist as well, but you’re just terrific. I want you to know that.
Okay - this is like exactly how I became a Swiftie last year!! At the time the reputation tour video was on Netflix and I thought oh well, just look a little into it. She had me hooked at her entrance. It was so totally totally unexpected. Like you I just knew some of her famous stuff like „Shake it off“and the Romeo and Juliet one and I loved „out of the woods“ and „this love“ from 1989 but more or less ignorantly beyond the superficial layer of a well composed song. Immediately after reputation I watched „Miss Americana“ and a new Swiftie was born. I’m still on a journey and still don’t know all of her songs but I do concentrate on the woman she is today. I will definitely watch more of your reactions to Taylor. Thank you for this one.. 🙏🏻
Oh, this is fabulous and love your reaction, this documentary makes me tear up every time I watch it... she's an amazing woman, 50 year old proud Swiftie and mom to a cat.
So glad that you enjoy a lot and can feel a lot of emotions as we did. Thanks for taking your time, and I can't wait to see your reaction and analysis on Taylor's voice evolution. =]
I always wanted to know what made her do a song like Look what you made me do... Which was a really good song. The lyrics always gets me especially when shes on the phone. ''the old taylor can't come to the phone'' ''because she's dead''.. LOVE THAT SONG!!
When I was young I used to dream about being famous. I believed nothing could be better. I'm so happy it never happened because people stop thinking of you as a person. You become an object of praise and ridicule. Your life ceases to belong to you and it's almost impossible to take it back. I love Taylor's work. She's a great writer and performer. She deserves space and a life of her own. I hope she has/will have both.
Oh, I hope you see Taylor now. She, as a person, has changed again. This Taylor is so happy and enjoying life and even has been at Coachella in the crowd watching the performances of artists and dancing and smiling. There is a confidence about her. This is largely due to the man she has been dating for over a year now. A football player named Travis Kelce. He is a big,, really good looking and sweet man. His parents raised him right. He is caring, loving and supportive. He has no issues with her fame or being bigger than he is. He is confident in himself. A funny, loving life and entertaining man who makes her feel very safe. Travis has taught her to enjoy and experience life. And you see it in her now. All the crap she has taken, the getting beaten down and told she is a snake. The vitriol. This woman has survived it and found this man who has been able to mend the broken parts of her. This has made her a much better performer as well. She is not hesitant. she is confident
Journalists highlighted how Swift redefined the 21st-century pop music direction by expanding pop's perceived boundaries to bring forth emotional engagement and artistic ambition without forfeiting commercial success, defying critical beliefs. In 2013, Rosen described the Red-era Swift as a prim figure-"a rock critic's darling who hasn't the faintest whiff of countercultural cool about her", setting her apart from pop stars that followed the "raunchiness" trend of the period. In 2016, Roland said Swift "managed to conquer country and, in an unprecedented move, transition fully into life as a pop artist with her latest album, 1989, without even a hiccup." 1989's commercial success transformed Swift's image from a country singer to a full-fledged pop star. Its singles received heavy rotation on U.S. radio over one and a half years following its release, which Billboard noted as "a kind of cultural omnipresence" that was rare for a 2010s album. Humanities academic Shaun Cullen described Swift as a figure "at the cutting edge of postmillennial pop". Retrospectives from GQ's Jay Willis,[80] Vulture's Sasha Geffen, and NME's Hannah Mylrea note how 1989 avoided hip hop and R&B crossover trends, influencing younger artists to explore "pure pop" and cultivating a trend of nostalgic 1980s-styled sound. Ian Gormely of The Guardian deemed Swift a leading figure of 21st-century poptimism who replaced dance and urban trends with ambition. He wrote that her transition to pop proved "chart success and clarity of artistic vision aren't mutually exclusive ideas." Geffen attributed Swift's pop transition success to her lyrics rooted in layered, emotional engagement rather than superficial themes that dominated mainstream pop. According to Lucy Harbron of Clash, pop stars like Dua Lipa would not exist if Swift had not normalized blending various pop music genres in 1989-an explicit trend among pop artists since the album. It paved the way for artists "who no longer wish to be ghettoised into separated musical genres", for BBC's Neil Smith. In 2022, critics Sam Sanders and Ann Powers regarded Swift as a "surprisingly successful composite of megawatt pop star and bedroom singer-songwriter."
So funny i just watched your last video and went "Hm. I think she's a swiftie now" been following you for a couple of months and watched it happen lol!
When Taylor started in 2006 I fell in love with her golden Curly Hair but it’s so magical seeing how her music has changed and how much she has changed as a artist and her evolution of music
So glad your producer said to watch this first! I know there's a lot of different documentaries about performers, some good, some bad. A lot can seem like propaganda for them. This documentary always breaks my heart because it feels like her screaming see me as a person, you don't have to like me or my music but see me as the person I am that's gone through all this and grown and changed.
Yep, same. I really enjoyed 1989, was comfy saying I was a fan with Reputation, but with Miss Americana? Diehard Swiftie and I will go to the mat for her and what’s she’s been through every time. (I actually lost a friend for defending her use of “fat” in the Anti-Hero video; how dare people tell anyone how to see themselves, but especially someone with an admitted and public eating disorder!)
Really looking forward to your reactions to her music and videos! I recommend giving Folklore another shot, but this time listen to the Long Pond studio sessions where she and Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner discuss the meaning behind the lyrics and what they were thinking, etc. They do that for each song. After that, then you can watch them in the studio with her singing and them playing guitar and piano. It makes all of the songs that much better!!

I loved this. The documentary is so important to understanding how Taylor really matured and let go of a lot when moving into the reputation rea and beyond. She became the version of herself that she wanted instead of what the world was comfortable with.
She is still reaction to people’s perception of her, just the other kind.
She changed, but not matured.
@@bip5395 what do you mean lol she has matured. She obviously to a degree cares and hears what people think of her but she doesn't stay silent anymore.
@@craftingranger7552 how does that prove her maturity exactly?
@@bip5395 ....she no longer cares what people think if her, that's maturity, being able to define your self instead of caring about other people's definitions
@@craftingranger7552 that is what she says, but her actions speak something else.
This documentary is amazing! Sadly she is no longer with Joe, but she seems to be doing great by her own now ❤
You must live yourself first! Glad she's ok
It was fantastic. She seems happy. That's a wonderful thing.
I know I am late to this party, but watching Ms Americana (been at least 3 times) made me appreciate Taylor and become a swiftie at 66 yo!!! She is awesome!
Her music videos are INSANE in the best way.
I wish I knew her sooner!
I love watching people fall in love with Taylor 💜
Omg yay I'm so happy you reacted to Taylor's documentary!!! It's an amazing documentary! It's awful the way the media has treated Taylor ever since she was a teen. She is a beautiful person inside and out, and she is insanely talented! Hope to see more Taylor reactions from you!! ☺♥
Her imagination is off he charts. She is a lyrical genius and a great performer
People love to hate on her. Unfortunally.
Yep sadly😔😔😔
When Taylor was a kid and was going to middle school she was bullied and didn't had much friends. Until high school her kinda only real friend was her mom and rest of her family. Kids bullied her because she was different than them and wanted to be a country singer. I think this might be one of reasons that triggered this TRAINED HAPPINESS for her.
you forgot her guitar as her best friend
Mama and Papa Swift divorced in 2011, but the fact that they seem to still be so close and go to Taylor’s shows together warms my heart
She has always been so thoughtful and considerate of others, even with all the media attention.💛
I’ve been a fan of hers since debut, it’s so nice to see you discovering her music and becoming one of us! Enjoy the ride
I was crying watching this, looking forward to watching more of your Taylor journey!🌺
Glad to do this with you guys!
Swifties will be with you on this journey. So excited!!!
😍😍 can't wait!
I love Taylor Swift. I’m almost 70 and she is the most beautiful person on the Earth.
And rep is one of her best. I can’t believe it didn’t get nominated.
I’m a Swiftie who just found your channel and I love your reaction! If I want a good cry, I can watch this. I feel protective of her like she’s my little sister after watching her open up in the movie. Just love her. 🥹
I just started crying and realize I can actually quote her through out this doc
The New York Times author Ben Sisario compared Swift's cultural dominance to that of Michael Jackson and Madonna in the 1980s, calling it something the "entertainment business had largely accepted as impossible to replicate in the fragmented 21st century."[9] Swift is the richest female musician in history with music as the only main source of income (US$740,000,000, as of 2023).[10]
Cultural omnipresence
Edit
"Taylor Swift is the biggest thing going in the entertainment industry. Turn on the TV or radio, scroll social media, listen to talk on the street, and there she is."
Shirley McMarlin, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review (2023)[11]
Journalists describe Swift as a cultural touchstone. Jericho cited numeric 2022 infographics showing that only Drake, Kanye West and Beyoncé could compete with Swift in terms of popularity.[12] Chris Molanphy of Slate stated that Swift's career has lasted longer than that of the Beatles, breaking the band's once-deemed "unbeatable" records.[13] Elle described her as a "pop megastar at celestial echelons",[14] and Vanity Fair called her "the biggest pop star in the world".[15]
Within celebrity culture, Swift's music, life, and image are points of attention.[16] Swift became a teen idol upon the release of her eponymous debut studio album in 2006,[17] and has since become a dominant figure in popular culture,[18] often referred to as a pop icon or diva.
Taylor Swift is the GOAT; end of discussion. 😎
Is that because she’s a baa🐑aad ass?
Her MVs are fantastic especially her 1989 and Reputation eras. Then she started directing and her All Too Well Short film is epic and won all kinds of awards.
You're me a year ago when a re-discovered TS and fell in love... Definetly a Swiftie now !!
The scene where a bunch of men keep interupting her and she was finally able to say "well, im doing this anyway...." made me fall in love with her.
It hurts SO BAD knowing her and Joe are now broken up :(
6 years though! They were a force, even the fact he wrote songs with her and played instruments for her
They're not together anymore?! 😨 Whaaaatt
Wait Joe was that guy with her, her boyfriend, right??
@@ramaninawarathna2420did you listen to “You’re losing me”? They don’t need to get back together.
@@ramaninawarathna2420 Lol I think you're the only one hoping they get back together..
Once you go through her music and examine how she has grown and evolved, I'd suggest trying folklore again (not just because it's my favorite album of all time). 😊
You’re so incredibly kind and empathetic I love watching your videos
OMG, thank you for you reaciton ! I recommend you the reputation tour movie, it's amazing how you can feel the atmosphere of her concerts ! Love you and your content !
I literally watched this yesterday so loved watching your reaction .
I watched her documentary a month ago and i enjoyed it a lot too. And cried a lot.
Getaway car is my favorite song out of all Taylor's songs. It's clever, it's fun and it's very self aware.
Highlights will be here on YT for free ❤️
9:32 We studied these things during psycholgy courses at uni. and it is frankly so heartbreaking, the core behind these kind of thoughts. Development psychology is no joke. It’s tied to the attachment people (the parent/s).
Rewatching this
I’m happy she found happiness now.
According to Billboard, Swift is "an advocate, a style icon, a marketing wiz, a prolific songwriter, a pusher of visual boundaries and a record-breaking road warrior."
Swift is a prominent subject of intellectual research, media studies, and cultural analysis, generally focused on concepts of poptimism, feminism, capitalism, internet culture, celebrity culture, consumerism, Americanism, post-postmodernism, and various sociomusicological phenomena.
I must say I cried during this is me trying on folklore long pond studio 👀
You’re hitting the sweet spot I didn’t know I needed! A vocal coach reaction that is also just your emotional connection to what you’re watching, without being heavy on the vocal analysis ❤
Every single reaction that you have about what she says or do, I know that feeling. I'm like hello sister you're turning to a swiftie.
Taylor your a queen and everyone feels like that sometimes including me but you are my favorite singer and will always be.We love you Taylor go queen!
I absolutely love listening to your reviews and commentaries on Taylor Swift. I checked the weather videos another artist as well, but you’re just terrific. I want you to know that.
Now that your joining the swiftness fandom I NEED NEED more Taylor Swift reaction videos!!!!!
Welp, I live here now...Love this and I'm so excited for more!
I am so excited for this journey!❤
Americana made me cry because it was oddly like seeing myself grow up through seeing Taylor grow up. Very bittersweet.
Reputation is one of the best records she ever did
Yep and it deserves better I still will never forgive the Grammys for what they did to Rep!
i love that you reacted to Naya one of my favorite singers and now Taylor who is my other favorite singer ahhh. Finally someone is appreciating her💗💗
So glad that you enjoy a lot and can feel a lot of emotions as we did. Thanks for taking your time, and I can't wait to see your reaction and analysis on Taylor's voice evolution. =]
I enjoyed your reaction. Thank you for doing this. I can tell you’re becoming swiftie for sure.🥰
And just like this, another Swiftie was born
I been waiting for this 😭💕
Welcome to this fandom; i'm so excited to see your reaction to her music!! ❤
Loved this!!! Is there a place to watch your folklore long pond reaction??
It will be out in my Patreon, July 30th!
4:42 she’s such an amazing performer
Taylor is my fav and always will be
Love her till the moon and back xx
When Taylor started in 2006 I fell in love with her golden Curly Hair but it’s so magical seeing how her music has changed and how much she has changed as a artist and her evolution of music
I’m so excited for this series
omg finally taylor swift
It's here! And albums reactions are coming too 🎉
When Trump said he liked her music 25% less, Taylor put a 25% discount on all her merch
A CLEVER MOVE 😂😂
As far as I see, been the same Taylor, just presenting different facets of the same beautiful gem. A Diamond in the crown of Womanhood.
Her parents are divorced but still work as a unit for her daughter. So inspiring.
Reputation is PHENOMENAL
So glad your producer said to watch this first! I know there's a lot of different documentaries about performers, some good, some bad. A lot can seem like propaganda for them. This documentary always breaks my heart because it feels like her screaming see me as a person, you don't have to like me or my music but see me as the person I am that's gone through all this and grown and changed.
can't wait, now that she came out on the foreword of speak now and said that she actually got voice lessons. I'll get the popcorn!
Folklore isn’t common folk if you go in depth in the lyrics. Genius.
Dude..thats taylor swift, the greatest rock star that will EVER live on this ENTIRE planet...said god
Omg I want her to make a second doc! 2019 Taylor feels miles away from current Taylor!
She's is the best. realy show them all ❤❤❤❤❤❤
My first video of yours and I’m joining your Patreon already, love the energy 💜
The thing about this documentary it really actually turned me into an actual Taylor Swift's fan
