Hi Lisa, I really love your channel! I have been watching it every morning before work and every evening after work for the last weeks and am really looking forward to the next lesson! (meanwhile I will re-watch lessons 1-56 :-)). I have been looking all over the place for a chance to learn Malay, and what you are doing is really awesome! I especially like that you let us participate in everyday situations, including with your family and friends. Makes it so real-life-like and gives an impression of Malaysian culture. Hii lissa..bila bila saya tengok vedio awak saya rasa macam pantai sangat bahasa malaeyu...saya asal india dah 8 bulan lama kat sini... saya suka belajaran dari awak punya vedio sangat...saya dah ada sumea vedio awak ,start lesson 1 sampai baru yang ini .bila bila kalau saya ada doubt sikit saya tengok tengok dari tu...terima kasih untuk bagi buat saya cakap bahasa malaeyu..

Hi sorry for disturbing you many times . I want to know is it right,That the word Yang in Malay gave the meaning of ( which,that or have) coz my malayu friend during work said this sentence (di mana ikan yang siap goreng) .thanks

Hello Ahmed, the word 'yang' is something of a connector. Therefore it can take many different meanings.
The ones I can think of now are as follows:
> That one - Yang itu
> This one - Yang ini
In the case above, 'Yang' takes on the form of 'one' in English. But it doesn't really mean 'one' because 'one' in Malay is 'satu'. I hope this is making sense.
Your example:
> Di mana ikan yang siap digoreng? - Where is the fish that is already fried?
In this context, 'yang' takes on the form of 'that is' in the English translation. Because without 'yang', it just becomes 'Where is the fish already fried?'. It makes sense but without 'yang', it just sounds a bit weird.
So if you ask me what 'yang' means, it is simply a connector of words. It could be which, that, that is, those are, that one, this one, etc.
