    Good to know Im not the only one that has used magnets on reptile enclosures. I just recently made a set of cage locks for my mangrove monitor enclosure. I used some very strong 110 lb neodymium magnets and they work great.

      @bradsbioactivebuilds  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's what's up. Magnets work great for a few various reasons. Shoot me a message on IG. I'm working on a few things and I have some questions with any success or failures/redesign you have done with them.

    I really like the heat tape it looks very clean. On the tile strength yes the center support is not needed in future builds. Tile is more than strong enough to hold substrate and many leg-ed snakes at once. FYI, i know you love polygem but once cured most epoxies are inert. I have an epoxy lava rock structure in a fish tank that is multiple years old. I used JB Weld marine putty. It off gasses when curing but is inert when done as evidenced by living snails shrimp and fish.

      Yeah, the heat tape did the trick. I'll have to look into the JB weld marine putty. I did talk with polygem and let them know my plans with the 1618 and heat. They said it could withstand a very high temp. Time will tell and I'll have to do an update on video once it's been up and running fir a while.
      Your continued support is appreciated Dan!

      By inert what do you mean?

    • @dshobe720
      @dshobe720 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @dericplummer9272 inert refers to off gassing from a material. Like the insulation in your house continues to off gas for a while after install. Epoxy stops off gassing once the chemical setting reaction is done. UV can make different materials break down and off gas during this process. VOC's are what the off gassing is called and can sometimes be smelled by us as a chemical smell. If epoxy is broken down by UV microplastics would be the end result rather than a chemical release of the epoxy.

    Nice. I looked up the 1618 on polygem. When you order it does it come with two separate cans for Part A and Part B?

      Yes. When you order it, it comes in 2 separate cans in the same order
