I think they're supposed to be coming in August so it's going to be awhile before I get them, but I am so excited! You got this Sydney! Sometimes we we dont have others to motivate us, it is scary to know where to turn to after falling! Have you tried looking up your closed CIB chapter for your city? For example, los angeles is close to me, I can search @ciblosangeles, there they share other skaters in your area, events, etc! I really suggest you check out an event, you will be so happy to meet other skaters!🤗🥰
I accidentally found one in the town I just moving from. It's only an hour away but I think it's not very active. There is an indoor skate park that one of the local roller derby girls go to. So I might try that once I have my skate legs. 🥰😁
I’ve been skating for a month and a half. Currently working on skating backwards and getting around that mentally. Last time I also attempted jumps but I need to get my knee and leg strength up because I could barely get off the ground and I was following tutorials and all that. I think I want to try skating outside for the first time sometime soon and am hella nervous but super excited to try it. So that’s where I’m up to!
Yayy!! Skating backwards took me a while to get the flow of. I noticed trying to do bubbles backwards helped me the best! As for jumping, oddly enough, try doing 20 squats every day, you will build up that muscle you need to help absorb those jumps! Best of luck on your journey, friend! 🥰🌼✨

Great video as always. The P-rail came out great but being that the base seems to move as you jump on it , I'd hate to see it slide out from under you and you fall on the P-rail and hurt yourself. Maybe if you put the P-rail in the bottom of the dip in your driveway, the concrete part not the asphalt part, it might be less prone to sliding out from under you. With the concrete part of your driveway slightly concave I would think it would slide less as it would dig into the curvature of the concrete as it's not flat like the asphalt so less of a chance to slide out from under you. ( hopefully ) I like Shane’s skates, they look awesome. What brand are they? What’s his opinion of them, would he recommend them?

I have had friends attend events just to help their mind when they are going through this challenge. Just remember you are not alone, these tough days will pass.
