    We regularly flew Virgin Atlantic Glasgow to Orlando. It used to be about 150 GBP more expensive than BA, but it flew direct so well worth the money. They had a good cabin service and we loved the 747 fleet - Ruby Tuesday and Jersey Girl being our favs. Post covid and with increased prices we will have to source another carrier

    They need to add more routes from Manchester. This being due to the fact that Heathrow is over crowded and as someone who lives in Manchester Id love to see direct flights to Los Angeles, San Fransisco and Miami from our fantstic airport. Manchester is the only airport in the UK besides Heathrow with two runways....

    I'm about to jump on one of the A330 fleet MAN-ATL this weekend ❤ We've flown in the 330 with Virgin a few times and were lucky to get a trip in a 74' before their retirement which ticked off a bucket list item! Looking forward to seeing the newer models on the MAN routes..

    Flew the A340 to india and back a few years ago - what a lovely aircraft to fly on, OK so it was business class but nevertheless it still remains probably my favourite aircraft to fly on.

      The A330/300 was certainly a bit “worn” by comparison..

    My experience with VA to London is that they are more expensive and offer a lower grade of service than BA so there doesn't seem much point to flying them. Their First Class is lesser quality and more dear than BA's Biz for instance

    • @afcgeo882
      @afcgeo882 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Virgin doesn’t have a First class. They only have a Business class dubbed Upper Class, and it is definitively superior to BA’s Club World. BA’s First and Club Suites are better, however.

    their B747-400 & A340-600 HGW was the epitome of Virgin Atlantic success, more so than any other jet in their fleet . . . wonder Virgin Atlantic doesn't offer first class across their full service flight operations . . .

    • @joshlyne5960
      @joshlyne5960 ปีที่แล้ว

      In answer to why we don’t have first class at Virgin Atlantic. Upperclass was always designed as a business class product with 1st class enhancements such as a social space on every aircraft whether that be a Bar, The Loft or The Booth. (I should point out whilst others have bars on their aircraft it’s not on every aircraft). We also have The Wing at LHR and our Clubhouses which have a more unique twist on a pre-departure lounge. Hope this gives some insight 😊

      @@afcgeo882 No you don't understand how this is working. VA has very few flights that are not going to the US and feeding the DL network and giving DL LHR slots. That's why they paid the money for it. DL uses AF or KLM for feeder if they need it outside of the US, Not VA. they really don't have much of network not going the US. They are a tiny little carrier compared to DL
