VIRGIN ATLANTIC A330-900neo FIRST EVER FLIGHT | Comparing Business Class, Premium and Economy

- We flew on Virgin Atlantic's brand-new A330-900neo for its first ever commercial flight. In usual TPG UK fashion, we compared all three classes on board this journey from London to Boston. Nicky Kelvin got the pick of the seats in Upper Class, special guest Sam Salter flew in premium economy, and Liam Spencer tried out the new economy seats at the back of the plane.
TPG booked seats in each cabin at the following rates:
Upper Class: 57,500 Virgin Points + £624 in taxes and fees.
Premium: 27,500 Virgin Points + £374 in taxes and fees.
Economy: 20,000 Virgin Points + £218 in taxes and fees.

I remember United doing it back when released their Polaris cabins but they put in all cabins including economy, Now any United flight I've gotten on has bluetooth connectivity.
Love how they’re adding wifi to their aircraft.
9:15 Liam made a good call upgrading to Economy Delight with all of the extra room, including foot room for his 12s! 😊

Sam and Nick are/were a thing, wasnt impressed he intro Sam as his 'friend'. I hope Sam stays on the team, but where has Dan Ross gone (also 'on the team')

I'm flying out on the A330-900neo at the weekend from UK to US on Delta One, and the return leg the following week is on the A330-900neo with Virgin Upper Class. Looking forward to it! Good review. I really enjoyed the A350 upper class seat when I flew previously.
How did you compare the delta to virgin?
@@gowdie911 it’s only my first day in the US today, I flew Delta One yesterday, flying Virgin back at the weekend.
Delta One was good but I wasn’t blown away by the style - it looked very “plain Jane” but it was very comfortable - my flight was 9 hours and honestly felt like a 5 hour flight. Food was decent, dessert was the best. Comfort levels were 9/10. Cabin could have done with a wipe down before I arrived.
Love you all but Nikki needs to travel more in economy and would be fun to hear others’s views on premium classes. Don’t get me wrong, die hard fan of Nikki and his review as well. Just adding a bit more spice to the ragu!
Also, is there like a beauty pre-requisite for this channel’s hosts? Someday would love to review and travel with you all 🤗

Nicky IS The Points Guy. On airplanes that are new and ones that are emerging with new technology and features, I don't begrudge him at all for taking the Point of traveling in the best class initially. He has done plenty in other classes on airlines as well, but it is his channel and I don't think you should give him too much heat as he is making all of this available and possible.
Yep - would like to see some comparisons of other hosts on the upper cabins!

Great video as usual!! That economy meal was pretty disappointing, it could’ve used a salad or some fruit. Upper class and premium look great though! I also really enjoyed Sam being in the video, would love to see him in some future videos.

Flew on the VA A380 Heathrow to Dullas (DC) in economy & paid just £70 more for extra leg space. Apart from Singapore Airlines, it was the best economy ever. Large comfortable seats, first class amenity pack, great food, obliging flight attendants and the A380 is so quiet compared to any other plane I've flown with and such large windows (something to do with new aircraft technology I think). A great flight in both directions.
I love this channel so much as an American viewer - also love Sam

I’ve flown VA in Premium and First (using points) many times over the past twenty years between Miami and LHR. The staff have always been friendly and professional. I think the extra legroom is worth it on a long flight. The other extras are just icing on the cake.
My family and I just took a round trip flight from Tampa to Heathrow on the A330-900 in economy plus seats and it was the best fight we've ever taken! Those Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines are SO QUITE and smooth!!! And the flight crew was amazing! Syncing the very large entertainment screen to my Airpods via Bluetooth was a breeze! We will defiantly book again!! Way to go Virgin Atlantic!!!! BTW, they have some exclusive podcasts to listen too as well. I love the bit about Abby Road Studio!!

Loved this thorough review, allowing a peek of the flying experience at various levels. Flying VA for the first time this week ATL-LHR in Economy Delight and this review has shown me that it’ll be an enjoyable experience, but also makes me want to think about upgrading to Premium on a future flight. 😊 Well done!
How was it?
@@calsonx6866 Economy Delight was a wonderful experience. Tons of legroom (I’m 5’2”), huge beautiful IFE screens, fairly nice meals, and a lightweight blanket at each seat. I was fortunate enough to be on the two-seater side (2-4-2 layout) with no seat mate in both directions. Will definitely be flying Economy Delight on future VA trips!

6:34 - pretty nice feedback for Virgin's cabin design team regarding the "leather". Because, they don't use animal leather at all in the new cabins! It's lighter, better for the environment and clearly more ethical! Way to go, Virgin Atlantic!💜🌍🐂

How long is it between when you turn around and head back? And do you take the opportunity to fly another airline or is it a round trip ticket?
The business class actually now looks good on Virgin. May have to try them again. I avoided them because of the narrow, coffin like pointing out to eslie. Those seats were awful.

Hey Nicky, if you like the terrace at the Virgin clubhouse than you will L O V E the (huge) terraces of the Swiss lounges at Zurich airport (ZRH), terminal E. How about you guys flying via Zurich and checking out those impressive lounges/terraces? (First, Senator/Star Gold, Business) Just make sure to be there when the weather is right: The terraces are closed when it's raining or snowing..

@@donaldpolson5450 unfortunately I don’t work in scheduling but the current routes for the neo will be Tampa, Miami, Atlanta, New York, Boston. No plans for the Caribbean just yet. But there’s plenty more neos on order.
