Having owned a 24’ for almost a year it’s definitely a fantastic car and a relative value for the $$$. For the 25’ model year you get even more options, new colors, M badging, and a nicer steering wheel. Having said all that, driving the M240 has me lusting for either an M2 or M4, which I plan on upgrading to when I leave cold, snowy WI.
Better choice than the M2 I would say. Financially, and for every day use, suspension wise, it's incredibly comfortable. Turns into a beast at a press of a button when in Sport Plus mode. The Bavarians know what they're doing.
Hey man thank you for this review, I want this car and you answered basically every question I had. Do you know if it has driving assistance where it stays in my lane and I just have to hold the wheel? And would it have blind spot Assist? Also how would the space be in the backseats? Would my friends fit there? they’re all shorter than 5”11😂 and I would put the tallest in the front, (I saw the part you posted where you fit fine with your legs spread out but I just wanted to clarify before I order one 😂) thank you
It does not have lane keep/steering wheel assist. It does have active cruise control that sets a max speed and adjusts speed based on the car in front of you. It has blind spot assist. Great car. Better than M2 since it’s faster than m2 and is AWD and is comfy and not jolty with a stiff suspension. I just ordered mine the other day in thunder night metallic with shadow line package and black rims. I had an M4 before that was too stiff and RWD sucked because it slipped so much. Learned my lesson there
@@Fat_Catt yeah man I picked one up last month 2024 in thunder night metallic. With all the specs. Did not regret it one bit ✅. Thank you for the response and ya happy I got this over the m2 the speed is insane 😎

I’m looking to get a new car a the end of the year. Everyone tells me not to pick a German car due to the reliability. I know the Supra shared the same engine. I haven’t seen none complaining about it. What do you think about BMW’s reliability these years? Keep in mind the car will be my daily, so around 6-7k miles a year.
Honestly BMW has been towards the top since 2020 in reliability. Solid cars. The B58 engine is one of the best motors out there! I don't think you'll see issues with one. My brother just bought an X5 and loves it. I've had 2 Supras and both have been flawless.
Did u order? When r u getting it ? I ordered mine in thunder night metallic as well. By far the best and most unique color to get for this car and one of most sportiest color in the bmw brand right now.

Yeah this has the B58 inline 6 turbo. Solid engine! But if you are coming from the Mach 1, you might like the M2 better. It's a bit faster, and much more ridged for better handling. Well in todays market it's not much more then the average price of a new car. Plus for what you get this is a really nice car. Clearly half of the buyers car afford a. car at this price range. So just depends on what your budget looks like. Keep in mind my perspective could be different than yours. There are some great sportscars in the $30k range too. Toyota GR86 is a blast for a very affordable price. Same with a Civic Si or Elantra N.
Well yeah it's the same engine! Basically this is just the 2 door version of the M340. Similar to how the M3 and M4 are the same cars just different amount of doors
The two door version of the m340 would be the m440 not the m240. M240 is definitely entry level like the Mercedes cla. Hard to find an angle that the 240 looks good from unfortunately. Usually im pretty accepting of new design languages, but imo the 2 series is the worst looking current bmw. Shame cause last generation 2 series looked incredible.
Technically yes. But the 240 is pretty much the same just a tad smaller. Just like how the base M4 and M2 have the same performance, just a tad smaller on the 2.
The screen itself is not the problem, it's the fact that couldn't they incororate it better into the dash instead of glueing it on with brackets? What a lazy design for a BMW and what you pay. This was my main reason for not buying. Was looking for a used 22 M240 or M340 with low mileage but no luck no far.
