Think it pulls now/ wait til ya sit on stage 3 or 4! A real ass yanker! I love the M8 power combined with the smooth refinement, Harley boys got it right, now they need a full 5gallon tank somehow and still maintain the sleek look
I doubt there's any difference in the back brake itself. This one just has a proper lever. The Fat Bob uses the lever designed for the Street Bob. The Street Bob has the mid controls and the lower brake lever angle is adequate. It's all wrong for the Fat Bob's forward pegs.
That could be it! I have been wondering why there is not a proper feel to certain brakes. I know the Heritage is great all around, but for some reason the two Bobs are the ones I had the least feel out of both.
Hey Rabid, my name is Fabio and I am from Brazil. I will but a HD, I rode a Street Bob and I love it handling, but I love the look of Breakout. What do you say about handling if you compare both? I will use in city, twice a week and a little trips with my wife. Regards
The Breakout is truly a cruising motorcycle as its handling is really nothing to write home about. In any decent turn like the turnaround I took with it only 30 miles an hour and even slightly less and you are touching down. The Street Bob is a bit lighter on its feet and can get down into corners a fair bit more. The price difference will allow you to add the passenger pillion and pegs without issues and still be less than the Breakout. The handlebar placement is better for the longer rides than the slammed bars of the Breakout. So the winner in this round will be the Street Bob.
Ben O'Dear for quick around town I would choose the Street Bob because it's lighter on its feet, and if you mod it with forward sets and some bags and such it'll do long range as well and still be less than the breakout.
Well, there was a bit of an issue with that. After these videos were made I kind of got told by the people above that they had to stop. This is why I had to take them down for a moment. So I have since separated myself from that situation and will hopefully be able to once again take test rides and stay neutral.
I’ve owned a 2017 breakout I found 2up was a pig ground out the brake lever , primary , and replaced both front foot pegs twice which were willie g footpegs ,I now have the cvo pro street breakout it does handle a little better but still have done primary ,brake lever and both front pegs (air flow ) when I rode the 2019 breakout I found it a lot higher more room for 2up the sissy bar is mounted back more I only noticed the pegs touch down on corners as they have raised the brake lever up so I’m picking it will hit frame and primary on the new 1s ?
I prefer the 2017 BreakOut for solo riding. The only thing it's missing is the Inverted forks of the newer models. But after market mono shocks will fix that.
Anthony Aguila I'm right around 6 feet tall. You may need the reduced reach position to help reach everything, but this one is smaller than the original Breakout and it'll be closer than the old. Go sit on one and try it out.
hey, do you have breakout with that new seat, can you make video of it when you ride your bike, iam 5.5 i ride gsxr and harley street; butt realy like the breakout, want to now if it not to have, and that i can ride that bike and can reach thoose forward controls
Just got an anniversary breakout and I’m 5’5” forward controls are fine. Bike is rather wide for me though. With the feet down your legs are resting right on the pipes and primary case.
This is why i will never buy another harley again - they made the fuel tank so small and still no dual disc brakes at the front and no disc brake at the rear and the the gauge is so small you will get done for speeding - last but not least the exhaust sounded like Honda !
Exhaust is for regulations. Sound awesome with my Rinehart slip-ons. Rest is personal preference. I don't mind the gas tank size. I don't take this thing for super long rides. And gas stations are everywhere. If you want to do Route 66 get a Glide or something. The Harley community is full of whiners it's getting old.

We just did a 20litre tank on my mates 2018 breakout and it looks great
Hey you're riding in Edmond, Oklahoma!
Yes I be

Rabid Hedgehog v!iiiiiiiiiiuu(
Rabid Hedgehog is
Good looking bike. It would look more chopped with some mini apes, or t bars.

Rabid Hedgehog Thanks mate...
Would air ride suspension help solve the low lean angle tolerance by lifting the bike slightly?
Maybe a little bit, but you would not want to make it too much higher as it might mess with handling.
Which bike did you like better the street bob or the Breakout?
Ben O'Dear for quick around town I would choose the Street Bob because it's lighter on its feet, and if you mod it with forward sets and some bags and such it'll do long range as well and still be less than the breakout.
Love it
Hey bud how tall are you ? And can you flat foot that beast ?
I am 6 feet tall with a 32 inch inseam and yes I can flat foot this bike very easily with plenty of leftover knee bend.
did you get to test ride the 2018 Fat Boy and Slim?

Think it handles way better than the old breakout
It handles on par with the Pro Street Breakout but still touches down faster than the others in the Softail range.

jump & ride
how tall are you?? I'm 5'5" - 5'6". My concern is the Forward Pedals. I really want the Anniversary one.

I'm planning of getting the reduced seat. I think that will solve the problem. THANK YOU

I wish they would have done something more with this bike, instead it's a Street Bob with forward mounts and a fat tire.

The small instrument is VERY visible and utilitarian. Have you actually tried one? Even in bright sunlight, it's awesome. Many have said the same.
