    I've had one of these for 4 years and its still good. Yes the laser packed up after about a month but I never used it much. Yes it took ages to figure out how to best pack it away but thats sorted. I'm still using the original blades and they work fine. I have chased out walls for electrical conduit using the diamond wheel and it's excellent. The dust extraction is remarkably good considering the tools price point.. I'm very pleased with it overall.

    I have to say that out of all the expensive 240v tools I once carried in my van but now replaced with battery, this saw is the one that is still in the van being used for floors

      It's a good little saw with bags of power, I'm a tradesman with an endless amount of tools but still I find this useful.

    Great review. 'm just thankful that not all tools are battery powered. For home use DIY, corded tools are much better value. Too many times tools get thrown out because a new battery is as expensive as a new tool.

    I got myself an Erbauer paddle mixer thinking, "If I get a year out of it it'll be worth it"......over 3 years later it is still going strong and it hasn't had an easy life, believe me! I may well give this plunge saw a go as well, thanks for the review, David.👍

    The case was clearly designed for a pre production model with no cable. I used a multi tool to cut away part of the box inners giving more space for the cable. I'll probably cut more away to accommodate the fence which pointlessly sticks out of the lid, pressing on the cable despite there being room for it to fit the other way up. Really good saw with a good quality but poorly designed case. The dust extraction connector is an odd size which fails to fit my Henry vacuum but recently discovered a washing machine drain hose fits perfectly to the saw.

    I've got the almost identical (except for the variable speed) WORX branded version and use it quite a lot. The diamond blade is especially useful for chanelling brick and plaster walls. Cut 2 or more parallel slots and then easily cold chisel the bits between.

      @@dmgladden Surely ,,,,, clamp the work and use two hands on the saw. The designers forgot a handle on the front, which makes control a bit of a challenge one handed. I have added one, makes a big difference to control and accuracy.

      @@dmgladden ok i thought so. Can you recommend which tool ( make and spec ) would be good for this? something with good power so that I'm not spending forever cutting the skirting as is the case with some of battery powered multi tools>
      I appreciate your response ,cheers

  • @neilfurby555

    Surely this is designed for light work, not as a substitute for a full size saw? Used freehand without any sort of guide is a bit of a gamble, but overall it does a reasonable job when used sensibly. I have abandoned trying to fit mine back in that absurd box!!!

    Hi Dave, great video, theres no argument it is a good little saw, I just returned my due to the laser issue and replaced it with the Bosch 12v cordless mini circular saw which is just as good if not better because i find it less restricting without the 240v cord. Have you tried replacing the batteries in the laser compartment because its so easy to leave on when using and then it absolutely drains them ?

    • @dmgladden

      From what I have the heard the new EXT range (which I have got a few tools from) can knock spots off the old Erbauer kit. Not only does it look professional but also feels that way.
      Great quality tools at an absolutely unbeatable price! The fact that all there cordless range of 18v kit is brushless is also an amazing bonus considering the great value for money price tag! 👍

      @dmgladden  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@benh1216 never seen or heard anything about the range you talk of but I'm finding this particular saw quite amazing it is handling heavy site work without any problems and that's all I ever look for, but thanks for the info

    • @benh1216
      @benh1216 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dmgladden Yeah. Well it's pretty good as mentioned. If you search "Erbauer" on B&Q or Screwfix it will come up with all the new EXT range. Would definitely recommend if your looking for some great bargain tools that will do the job and more! There is also Ryobi which I heard are decent. However don't know much about them since haven't used them!
