Great review, these cheap squier short scales give so much bang for buck I’m hoping to get one and mod it over time, like your suggestion. Will have spent less then equivalent specs on fenders and be super personal
Nice it seems like since it was new they've changed to a four saddle bridge. really considering getting this as my first bass. heard the neck finish sucks but if it's thin then that's easy to remove and redo.
Hi Ismael, I’ve not done it personally, but there are a heap of bronco modification bunch of online that have used a heap of different full size bridges. Good luck and thanks for watching!
I usually like to buy cheap instruments and upgrade them (I started because many of my friends had their gear stolen while gigging, and I don't want that to happen to my vintage ones), but I'd do that with a Squier Mustang Bass + NM4 pickup. The problem with the Bronco is the agathis body which is...meh, to say the least. I played an LTD made of agathis once, that thing had no sustain at all.
True the Agathis may not have the most sustain, but I love the warm ‘plonk’ of the bronco bass. I wish that Squier made a higher spec version of these! Thanks for watching
I am a somewhat seasoned bass player who has developed poorer motor skills. Short-scale base has been a solution. (And short-scale basses actually sound fantastic!?). I already have a Danelectro longhorn which is great. But a bass with "classic" Fender sound is needed. I have very bad finances these days I'm such a music snob and would never buy this bass even if it sounds ok!?! (Although I really would like to). I'm a fool!
Sounds brittle and shitty. If you brought that bass to a gig you wouldn't be getting a second gig. If you take to practice with a band and start to push it that knarly tone is just going to get worse.
The superlight strings are...less than desirable. I stuck a set of standard guage DR Lo-riders on it and every complaint I had about it went away. It even fixed the wonky intonation issue I had with it.

It’s super tempting! Especially as it would be one of a kind! Thanks for watching
Thanks, great review. Good Job.
Thank you for watching Neeet!

Nice review.

Hi! Which is the most apropriate set of strings to use with Bronco? Thanks😊
great Video I did add
I like the Bronco Bass from Squier/Fender - in my youtube Chanel you could find a modificated Bronco Bass with sound very nice. 😀
I’ll check it out! Thanks for watching
They should add 2 more pickups, a 5 way switch, good tuners and 2 more saddles and it would be one of the best basses on the market.
To me this sounds better than the classic vibe mustang? Thoughts?
I agree that they sound different! Better or worse, well that’s up to the listener. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching
does the gotoh 19mm bridge works for this?

The biggest inspiration for the Bronco bass is obviously the old Musicmaster bass.
Jimmy, what’s your last name, do you still have that red bass and do you have Instagram

Each to their own! Appreciate your thoughts AJ. Thanks for watching!

you must be joking. The tone on here is very much akin to the tone you'd find on dark side of the moon. You must have zoomer ears
