Luke you are a credit to your profession.. I am 78 years old and watch every episode. I helped a commercial crabber when I was young in Lake Pontchartrain when we used crab nets to catch them.. We would set out about 200 every morning and run them at least twice.. Used to sell nbr one males for around $6.00 a hamper..(wooden basket). Keep going enjoy your adventures
I am from the Netherlands and have worked in the fishing industry for 2.5 years and worked with North Sea crab for 2 years and have been sailing for a total of 10 years. If I could, I would sail with you without any problem. I like your mentality and approach to tackling, I think you are a cool guy.
Good morning from Maine, bud. You're a national treasure, those kids will remember that interaction their whole lives. What you're doing matters, and you motivate me. We all get skunked sometimes, and you just dig in. It's refreshing to see a dude my age just getting after it. We out here.
I think it is OUTSTANDING that you guys do that program with the kids regardless if they pursue that as a career or not. Bravo guys! We need more people like y'all! 👍
I'm glad your friend can run tours for the school kids at no cost to the kid's parents. That's one of those memories that will last a lifetime. It's also a great way to show the kids that some food still needs to be harvested by hand. I wish we could have a program like that out here on the west coast but our guys harvest Dungeness crabs from the open ocean in some of the worst weather of the year. Not exactly a great school field trip.
I still look back on my field trip to Smith Island back in elementary school fondly and that was over forty years ago. These trips make memories for life for those kids.
Luke - Replace the wooden roof with an aluminum one to cut down on weight and then you can remove SOME of the roof stringers (trusses) since the weight of the plywood won't be there. it should cut down on a lot of weight and prevent you from taking on water
Absolutely loved the Factor plug, heating the meal up on the engine manifold. It is too true. Did it for years in the Army. Any way to get a hot meal you will do it.
No doubt the best add for tv dinners anywhere there sales should double. Active sinking never a good thing been there done that the whole time your thinking “ wish I had bought the bigger bilge pump “. You would be an awesome dad the world needs more people like you.👍🦀 man!!
4:02 luke with the harmless plug for people to buy crabs. lol. very nice of you guys to take part in community stuff like this. best wishes and hope u guys get a good harvest on your trips.
Seeing you grow is inspiring keep at it buddy. I hope to meet you one day. You’re a good person with a big heart, you deserve everything good that happens to you.
That's awesome. I used to have a tour boat go by often back when I crabbing on the Rappahannock River. The tour boat ( The Captain Thomas) used to make us feel like movie stars too. Lol
“It’s Fathers Day and I’m celebrating the fact that I’m not a father…that I know of 😉” lmao. Love your channel. Great sense of humor. Stay safe out there Luke. 🇺🇸 that was a mocking bird.
That field trip collaboration is awesome! Keep up the great work and community involvement. Who knows, maybe one day one of those kids starts crabbing because of this!
Very impressive. As a retired teacher from the poor side of town that would have absolutely amazing!! Trust me when I say you have made some lifetime memories for those kids. Good on you!!
Yeah you forgot your Crab Dad and his tee shirt, lmao 🤣🤣🤣. So glad father's day worked out specially since you went bust on buying on the island. Fourth is just around the corner don't sink the boat but fill the trailer.
You guys are amazing. Thanks for engaging the next generation! I’d consider volunteering/working on your boat for a day! Heck I’d pay for the experience. ❤️
That spine is from lightning hitting in shallow water where fish was. I was fisherman and crabber from Delaware Bay for 30 years. Seen quite a few fish like that.
Love it and I believe that might be a Mockingbird. They can be territorial if there is a nest in the area. Congrats and I appreciate the videos and the hard work you put in. It is nice to see hardworking people still do exist!!!
Luke I'm so glade your doing so well. I'm definitely going to make the trip to buy your crabs shortly. A Bushel and a shirt and hat. Love what your doing
Had the same problem with scuppers crabbing. Rubber flaps work really good. Or put some sliding doors on it so when you get loaded just close them till you get bigger rig
You should sell lemonade too, its actually very profitable.. 1 lemon makes a pretty big cup full, i have family that does carnivals, i deliver truck loads of lemons and limes.. U can easily charge $5 a cup for fresh squeezed lemonade
I got a 21ft Novi oyster dragger that has the same issue with the wet deck when ur fishing...I would leave the starboard side scupper in and the port out n that worked great and cleared any deck wash out the open one when you turn hard to port. it's easier than laying up a new deck a couple inches higher...ok fish on brother ❤️🇺🇲
Luke, love the videos and watch them all. Such a hard-working young man and I know your family is proud of you! I also love the t-shirts but we need female shirts. Just saying us ladies love to shop, lol. Keep up the great work and continue to be the same amazing young man!
Hey Luke, want to let you know, man I really enjoyed your videos and your work ethic. You’ll find out much anymore on young people. Good luck on your venture.

Re. Deck Flooding.. cut a hole in your deck at the low point, glue a bucket in the hole creating a sump, put an auto bilge pump in the bucket

I still look back on my field trip to Smith Island back in elementary school fondly and that was over forty years ago. These trips make memories for life for those kids.
Man, how cool was that for those kiddos! I bet they will remember that forever.
CJ at the end was the best part. I laughed my ass off at him. Lol
Cannot tell you how awesome I think it is that you support that program to get kids out on the Bay. Outstanding. Bravo!

At the end, "Crab Dad!" Nice!! Lol!!
You need some thread all ,some bolts ,old tire ,couple pieces of wood and make squeeze clamp for the scupper holes plug them off 👍 happy crabbing
Great channel. Great person. Love to see it!
