People would rather point fingers than admit their own mistakes and learn from it. Which is ironic, because those same players are usually the ones to call others toxic, braindead, etc, and go on about how their ""incompetent"" opponent (i.e. actually knows good strategies instead of just 'big number gud') didn't deserve to win.
@@aghawkz except in this case, neither player was good. the opponent made some dumb mistakes and didn't read the very predictable swaps. and the guy running the channel was using a very flimsy gimmick that anybody with a half a brain could counter. it amazes me to no end how people who eat up this stupid channel's content will praise this guy as some genius when he's just barely competent enough to bully people who have very little clue what they're doing. there's a reason these "good strategies" are completely nonexistent at the top. it's because it only works on idiots, and it doesn't take a genius to use it

I'm not sure how a game can "hold your hand" in a game that's all about numbers and RNG. I've had big power moves like that miss 3 times in a row on unboosted Pokemon, it sucks but is what it is.

I just realized why the Whymsicott/Cottonee you use in your teams has to be level 1. It's not just a flex for extra salt. Substitute always costs 25 PERCENT health, meaning the meagre points restored by leech seed are only enough to be able to use Substitute a bunch if your max HP is really low! That's so smart.

You're right about the second one, but legendary teams aren't scary. Full legend teams are usually just an indicator that the player behind it has no idea about competetive. If they do it's more difficult but still far from unbeatable
Legendary teams are easy to defeat and the people who uses them has no idea about competitive. Level 1s are easily beaten by multi-hit attacks

What's not fine is that they're very toxic about losing because 99% of them are 10 year old simple minded morons who think they're on top of the world. Everyone goes through that phase, but some are more assholistic in it than others.

I dont know what this guy was smoking. If I went to battle someone and they rolled up with a butterfly, an Eevee and a Lv 1 Whimsicott and they made it to 1400 with that team, I'd be scared shitless.

Doubles players can be as skilled as a Singles player.

@@AmalgamJiena this is why I watch temp's videos, he actually knows what he's doing so it helps me figure out a bunch of strategies. Copying good ones you see opponents use is also helpful, since you can adjust them for your own purposes.

I've experienced this in card games before. Running a silly gimmick deck that just happened to have one card that *hard* countered an opponent, watched him get more and more pissed as his deck (that was easily worth 50 times mine) couldn't do anything, then he challenged me for a rematch with a different deck and won before I even took a turn, lol.
And then STILL losing

It did 15% of a dynamaxed double defence gyrados with extreme speed if we were looking at the same one, so I think that's a pretty good amount

Vivillon is one of few pokemon with compound eyes ability that boost accuracy of moves, so it can hit hard almost every time instead of some of the time.

there is nothing inherently mutually exclusive about using legendary pokemon and skill. otherwise any random kid could easily win a tournament (which doesn't happen). and the strategy in the video was flimsy and gimmicky and boring. if you think prankster leech seed protect substitute is a creative strategy, then i'm sorry lmao

Once I almost got stalled out in an in-game multiplayer battle in gen 7. My one saving grace was Skarmory, who was immune to toxic spikes, could heal with roost and had air slash with a chance to flinch, which was the one counter to the aron shell bell stall I could do. It worked and I won, somehow.
