Imagine an Ayreon album where everything goes nicely and life is easy, people are accepted as they are, families stay happily together, people are being listened and taken care of, AI doesn't take over, nobody gets captured by aliens, no-one cheats on their partner and said partner doensn't try a suicide, no-one cares to solve the theory of everyting, everyone hides their toes, people don't go self-extinct and everybody doesn't die or everybody dies depending on what is convenient? ...Not sure if that would even be an Ayreon album anymore! Keep doing you, Arjen! I just love the Ayreon universe, no matter how messed up everything is, there's always hope, humanity and altruism to be found! And great stories with sweet tunes! I didn't read the description, so didn't know Patty participated. The second she appeared, my heart filled with joy. Such a talented young musician, with a heart of gold. No disrespect or dislike for any of the other artists, each great in their own right. But seeing Patty collaborate with Arjen made my day. What a pleasant surprise. #fan-since-1995
I didn't knew about Ayreon till two weeks before. I met him from his work with Anneke and finally i discover a new world of art. I don't know how i start. So many albums so much to hear so much to learn. But i am happy to discover him even today and not years after or at all. Great work m. Lukasen. My greetings.

@@ArjenALucassen I think because the instrumentals are quite clean and round and not aggressive it focuses more attention on the singers and their acting. For me it sounds more like a theatrical play or something. Very interesting. I'm glad you don't stick just with the one sound and make each album different! Also I don't know whether it was intended or it's because I watch the video, but the acting itself seems more intense in this album. Maybe that's why I get all these theatrical vibes this time ... :-)

What I love the most about what maestro Lucassen has shown us is that it sounds like a kind of combination of his different works not only with Ayreon, because things from Stream Of Passion, The Gentle Storm, Star One, etc. are distinguished... ...Anyway, what we have is a sample of a whole cohesive musical history to give us an album that for what I have shown so far will be a great masterpiece.
Wow, what an awesome song! So much power, harmony, drama and progression! I also love the folk influence in this one. Patty's Hurdy Gurdy-playing was particularly beautiful in my opinion. Please work with her more often! She's got a great voice, too. I desperately hope that she is singing in at least one song on the album. 😊

Been listening to a new Ayreon for two days so far and I cannot stop doing it. New album is pretty different from the rest, but has Ayreon's power and spirit without any doubt. Having a digital copy is one thing, but I am still waiting for the gold vinyl which is going to come to my place pretty soon - i think tomorrow. I really, really enjoy listening to this new album and I am totally sure i will stay with me for next couple of weeks (!). Arjen and the Transitus crew - you are awsome, and thank you so much for an awsome job making this album. I hope all of you will love it dispite the fact that it is pretty different from the ones already known. And what is the biggest surprise for me listeting to this album is that it includes many new instruments which are creating this whole ambience. Glad that Arjen is fearless and tries new instruments. I don't really like to compare, but this story gives me Avantasia vibes from the Metal Opera era, which is great! It's very different from previous Ayreon albums and that makes it really interesting! and the cast on this one my god!! can't wait for the album, great job Mr. Lucassen!!

I don't really like to compare, but this story gives me Avantasia vibes from the Metal Opera era, which is great! It's very different from previous Ayreon albums and that makes it really interesting! and the cast on this one my god!! can't wait for the album, great job Mr. Lucassen!!
