you have the most beautiful Chevy trucks. I love Fords myself, but I've had a Chevy Van and a '61 GMC with a Utility Bed. That 52 Ford is wonderful.

What a great way to spend a nice Sunday afternoon. I am a lot like you. I love the old trucks and equipment and love to go look at it when I find the time. I own a few old pieces of farm equipment myself that I treasure and thank the good lord everyday that I am able to have them. I have a very small collection of 2 cylinder John Deere tractors. 3 of them to be exact and my nephew also owns one that is kept here at my place because he doesn't have room to store it. The best part is they all run and run well. They range from 1947 to 1958 model years and yes they all get used quite often. I love to hear those old 2 cylinder tractors run. Nothing sounds like them. Sorry for rambling on about them but as a collector yourself, I'm sure you understand how easy it is to talk about something you love or love to work on. I hope Lou feels better soon. I assure you, he is dearly missed on your videos.

My two 57 Chevy half tons have the factory hood rockets. I even have a third set for spares. Try finding original hood rockets now days. I paid $125.00 for one set 35 years ago. I managed to piece a second set together from 2 swap meets for $25.00 each. Then I got the third set from my uncle about 20 years ago. My 3200 is a factory V-8 that came with all the chrome and stainless and a big window cab. It will be getting factory 4x4 running gear. I have all the correct parts including the correct shifter for the power divider or transfer case.

Hi Rick, Mike from Vale here (guy with GTO) that 48 4400 is a 49 or 50 because the fuel fill was behind the cab in a 47 1/2 and 48, while the 49 and up has filler cap in cab. The only difference between a 49 and 50 is, 49s have friction shocks, and 50s have tube shocks. But can't tell on a 4400- 6400s because they don't have shocks. And that is a heavy duty 4400 because it has barrel bearings vs ball bearings. You can tell because roller bearings have a press in dust cap, and heavy duties (barrel bearing) have bolt on caps. Same holds true for 2 ton (6400s)

My hometown is La Grande, but all the rest of my family live in or within 25 miles of Portland. Your quiet place on the river reminds me of my happy place on a stream in Northeast Oregon, off the beaten path and yet easy to get to, just about 20 minutes from La Grande. Spent a three-day weekend camping there once, and didn't see another soul the whole time. I still miss those woods, and look forward to getting back to camping sometime after I retire. I'd love to have that chevy flat bead if I still lived in Willamina Oregon but I left there in 1986 and moved to north eastern Ohio and I'm sure it would cost a fortune to get someone to haul it from there to here. I really enjoyed this video and thankyou for sharing it.

That's a mighty fine piece of property ya got there...thanks for sharing it with us, Rick.
    One of your comments
eluded to the fact that you're not a 'Christian'. I think I know better...you go out of your way to help your neighbors, or anyone that needs it, so the sheer fact that you're taking parts off
    an old truck makes you
"Not a Christian" is ridiculous to say the least. Please don't take it personal, he's 'not a
    Christian '.
    Enjoyed the whole video,
and you sharing your acreage was the frosting on the cake!
    THANKS! 😇

Thank you Mark. I am far from perfect......very far. I just try to do better each day. Its the "Perfect Christians" that I run from. There was only one Perfect One. Anyone who claims to be better than others doesn't know how to interpret the bible.

      @@ClassicTruckRescue Very True...the old saying
"Nobodies perfect" applies to everyone, but having watched your channel for quite a while , I think you've got the game plan figured out pretty good. Stay safe...and I'll stay tuned. Mark. 🙂

Rick its called being good to your word. Ive got a great hoard of trucks mine are mostly 60 thru 72. However ive been parting out 16 73 and newer square cab chevy & GMC. Ive been selling the entire front suspension and crossmembers . They just bolt them into the older trucks and get disk brakes and 5 lug hubs. Anyway a guy really wants one. I had sold all I already had taken out. So I went out in the cold and wet worked & shifted stuff around and drug one out with the wrecker to where a air hose could reach it. I used the impact to unbolt it. and got it removed. and this guy is a no show. no phome call no E mail no nuthin. Used to be a mans word meant something to him. Those days are in the past. My wife got a Hip replacement two years ago. She still has a bit of a limp but no more pain and quit using a cane. Her bad hip was caused when she was feeding cattle and a cow had a new calf. Her little dog went by that cow and it chased that dog. The dog took refuge between her legs and that cow got her and knocker her down. Brused and mad. but she was in her thirties and tuff so she forgot about it. 30 years later she gets arthritis in that hip joint! the other hip is fine.

I'm sure you know but - when checking comps on eBay always look at sold listings. There can be a vast price difference between asking and sold price. Long time watcher btw.

I have enjoyed all of the video content and the comments from Rick. The JACKASS that was insulting Rick was offensive to any person that has common sense! If you do not enjoy good entertaining video DON'T WATCH !!! You should be ashamed of your comments.
