Thanks very much James. As soon as the tires start spinning, they pretty much won't stop until you pull back on the throttle. It's pretty entertaining. Thanks for sticking with me on the build. I am really glad you enjoyed.
It's a real gem, be very very proud, awesome truck, heard you fine in the cab no issue there, like the wheels for the Corsa. Hope you have many weeks, months and years of great cruising with the 57. She's a 10 from the Old Sarge.
Iam happy ,the 57 is all i would drive. I say that cause i have one with a 350ci and TH 400 trany. But is not drivable yet. Thanks for the video great truck.
Awesome job man. I'm in the early process of a frame off 56 Chevy truck. Very informative series here. Got a lot of ideas from you. Love the truck. Thanks for making the videos!
I'm freakin' jealous of your garage. I could SO use some more space for mor equipment, like a shop press and other necessary items. Nice work, all around. Enjoy.
Thanks very much. The shop didn't come easy, a lot of work to save for it and a ton of work to finish it. I'm very grateful to be fortunate enough to have this space.
See if you can get someone that's familiar with SBC to give you a hand. Old car folks are great people. I'm sure someone local will help and you'll learn along the way. Thanks for watching.
Have you done a video on the corvairs? What year is the coupe? 66? I have a 67 Fitch sprint and my father has a 66 corsa conv. Would love to see your collection.
Yes, dozens of Corvair videos on my channel. Feel free to check them out and subscribe. There's always lots of Corvair content. My late Coupe is a '66 Oshawa built Corsa with a 140. I also have a '64 Coupe, '61 Rampside and my son's '65 Sedan.
Ed, maybe I missed it or just can't remember but how much of a drop did you do in the front and rear and how? I absolutely love the way the the truck sits and want to make my 59 sit the same. Thanks!
Hey, I did that before I had a TH-cam channel. It's a 4 link in the rear from performance online, with aldan coil overs. Camaro from subframe in the front with aldan coil overs. I'm not sure the total drop, but it handles and rides great.
Love your truck! I have a 1956 Chevy 3100 with small window LS1/4l60E with front corvette IFS and rear 1981 narrowed and has 2004 corvette Guage cluster and steering wheel with smooth dash and hydraulics tilt bed, truck still in primer. I also have same viso as you. When I drive fast (over 85 MPH) my visor causes my wipers to lift and bounce on the windshield. And my hood flexes up and down slightly. Does yours do the same? Thank you. George.
I have noticed that my wipers will lift at "advanced" highway speeds. Fortunately, if it's raining, with the truck being so light, I'm pretty slow and cautious. Actually thinking about larger rear tires because of how it slides around in the rain. Do you have the X strap brace under the hood? I don't have issues with mine flexing. How are your doors for closing and latching?
The front clip is a '78 Camaro and I am running Aldan Coil overs. The rear is a 4 link with coil overs. I believe I'm running 225/60/15 up front and 255/60/15 rear. Rear is on a 15x7 0 offset.
nice truck, I am also wrapping up an ls swap in a 1955 truck but came across some brake issues, i was wondering if you have had any issue with your brakes?
This is the original frame with a 78 Camaro front clip, and I built a 4 link rear suspension for it and coil overs all around. The clip was done before I got the truck and I just had to do some fixing on the installation. The 4 link was before I began sharing in TH-cam. Hope that helps.
It's a Camaro front clip with coil overs and 4 link and coil over in the rear. 15x7 wheels. I think the front is a lot more than 3 inches down from stock. Thanks!
@@SlowCarFix The best ever. I love my 57 gmc 102 with the original 336 pontiac v8. I was here checking out if you put the rubber seal around the headlight bezel. I'm having a problem getting it to stay in place. I see most don't have it at all. Great job on the truck.
It's a tire roasting machine. I really like that truck. Great job Ed!

Man that's just awesome to see you driving that truck 👍 she sounds great, I can't help but sit here and smile. Best to you brother
Thanks very much! I'm glad you enjoyed the process, it's working great.
It really looks good, even under the hood it very organized. Interior looks sharp.
Thanks, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I spent a lot of time and effort trying to keep under the hood as tidy as it can be.
Nice GTA rims beautiful truck
Terrific job! Love it when a plan comes together! Looking forward to the next vid!
Thanks, just have to figure out what that next video is. Thanks for watching.

@@SlowCarFix Yes, but sure about the steering wheel from Dave? Thanks though!!

Came out great! Super clean all around. 👌👌
Thanks Jack, and thanks for giving me your money. Please don't blow up my old engine. LOL
@@SlowCarFix hahaha, no promises but would be a bad end to the 57s clean running old heart.

No, I have not had any issues with the brakes. They're just stock camaro brakes. best of luck with your project.
Do you have the original frame still? front clip swap? or did you do a entire frame swap? Just curious and haven't caught it in the videos I've seen

Beatifull truck!!! Whats size tire do you use in The front and back?
Sorry for the delay - 225/70/15 rear, 215/65/15 front
3" drop on front? what size wheels did you use?
awesome btw
It's a Camaro front clip with coil overs and 4 link and coil over in the rear. 15x7 wheels. I think the front is a lot more than 3 inches down from stock. Thanks!
Wat size of wheels in the front and the back?
Wheels are 15x7 inch.
for 14" wheels the Corvair should be 205 60 14 BTDT
Can't get them right now Stan, supply chain shortage. Can't get much of anything. These will be fine.
what exhaust did you use?
Stock manifolds, 2.5" exhaust and Flowmaster type mufflers
News flash, it's never finished..............
You're not wrong. It's pretty good though...
