Good evening people. First of all, I need to get one thing off my chest. I hope you don't mind. Actually 2 things. So #1. I LOVE what you're doing, while you can. And #2..I LOVE with a capital L...your cabin. For me, the fireplace does it for me. I picture going to the nearest river with a bucket, for water, and walking back with a good hoar frost around, and looking up at the cabin with the smoke going straight up in the still air. Aaah yes. Hey I was at the lake just yesterday, but it was blowing like crazy. And cold. Sorry about no snow, but I guess that wherever you are on today's date, you are probably experiencing the white stuff now. The Leopardsgowild channel are in the thick of it now. Just sent a heads-up. Take care, particularly over bridges. Thank you for sharing. Love your channel. All the very best.
Hey thanks for watching! Yes the fireplace is the heart of the cabin and gives it a soul. We are very lucky to be able to do this and it’s nice to share it. Cheers
New subscriber.James.Freedom Camper with exrental small campervan.Enjoying catching up with your first vid.Intend to follow you guys.I also follow the "Leopards go wild",a young kiwi family traveling full time such as you's are in the Sthisland. All the very best to your travels hope you meet up with the Leopards !!
Great video. You should consider getting a B.E.S.T. water filter, they connect onto your hose and your hose that goes into you tank. Carbon and silver safe and can be back flushed. Burnsco sell them. A great safe guard when traveling as you never sure how safe the water is.
@@travellingtinynz5210morning, I was just going to say buy an inline caravan Water filter they're under $50 from Supercheap 😊, we filter every fill-up our first one is 5000 fills so it's still going ❤
If you get to HW85, Central Otago, stop in Naseby (near Ranfurly). Winter wonderland with great motor camp and steeped in local history, indoor curling ice rink and local forest walks. High chance of snow there. Incredible mountain views! Thanks for your video. Safe travels
Great to see the tiny house travelling the south island. A pity you couldn't get to the snow near St Arnaud. It's been a very poor snow season in the top of the south. The skifield is great when it's open. Chasing the sun and keeping batteries warm can be a real challenge in the winter. Great for frozen lakes and other experiences. How good finding a plumber just when you need one! Great footage and family fun adventures
Great video sharing our wonderful country. So cool to see families out living in it all having special adventures together. I think possibly when we returned our caravan to Weedons NZMCA a few weeks back you passed us on the drive, I only remember as I admired the wonderful tiny home and now your youtube popped up in suggested channels, small world. Best of luck with your travels!
Great to meet you yesterday at the gallery. Such a cool trip that you are doing, especially for the kids. Great filming and editing. Great job on the tiny house! I will enjoy following your journey. Cheers, Derek
If you are in Central Otago Symes road and the Nevis road are your best bets for snow. At the moment the Old Man range ( Symes road) has the most snow of the winter so far. Great video be carefull on the icey roads 👍
Rounded off a couple of weeks holiday few nights at Aoraki/Mount Cook a fortnight ago and was hoping for snow. No luck. Now it's had a couple of feet in the last few days! Still absolutely magic though. Can't wait to get back.
Fabulous video ...Fabulous tiny home and fabulous family. Thanks for sharing your highs and lows of life on the road. I'm sure you'll find snow and more icy adventures in the Mackenzie country. Take care and safe travels.
great to see!! Central Otago-Mackenzie district is the best for cold and snow! Mt cook, Lake ohau, Lindis pass, Cardrona, Snow farm, Crown range, Remarkables!
All NZ videos appear to be South Island-centric these days... and I understand why. The North Island is pretty boring outside of summer when the beaches come into their own. I live in Hamilton and have seen about 90% of NZ, and if I could I'd live in the South Island... only thing keeping me up here is kids and work. North Island is very meh compared to the South Island in terms of scenery! No comparison... love your set up by the way, you're doing what I've dreamed of doing! Subbed
Great video. Love your camper!
Thanks so much!
That was amazing how that plumber just turns up.... Incredible 👍

May I know how's the road condition, I will be visiting NZ south island 11 sept to 22 Sept 2024, self driving
The roads in the South Island are in good condition.
What type was your fireplace? Did you bring dry wood with you? It seemed to bake loaves well
Hi I built the fireplace but used an old firebox I had in the shed. We just get wood from the bush. Thanks yes it cooks very well.
Did u guys leave white rock with ur name at lake kanare in hokitika ?
Yes Lyla wrote on some quartz and left them at the jetty!
