Lovely to see your moringa in Colorado . I'm in London my moringas did not survive the last winter . I didn't grow any this year. I plan to grow next year again hence why I'm here. Like and Subbed too. Thanks Lilian

Thank you for the information. This is my first year growing dwarf moringa. I have 6 young trees. Fingers crossed I can keep them alive in containers in the house over winter. I even stared 5 or 6 in a pot for my sister.😊🌱♻️

Any Moringa tree can be a small tree because you planted in a container and pruned.

I`m trying it in central Louisiana. But my move was delayed by the failing economy so planning to start it indoors under lights for next year.
Well so far I have trimmed all three of them back as you suggested. And they are shriveling up like they’re going to die. I think I will just give them some time and see if the roots regenerate after some time. Thank you for your comment.

This is usually always a water issue. Too much, to little. More than likely

how do you tell if the bark has formed on the root of the moringa, that is before you try to transplant it.

Do you have a video showing how to prune off the leaves? Also do you grow the drum sticks on yours or just the leaves? I am a beginner at Moringa tree's but heard they are good medicinal plants. I live in Pennsylvania so mine will be indoors in the winter.

Do you have a video on planting and getting the seeds to germinate? I have tried several times and they mold or rot or just sit there and not germinate? Help Please...
Never knew they had dwarf moringa. I found one for sale for 10 dollars that was already 2 feet but backed out do to size when mature, small yard
You can actually buy the dwarf moringa seeds.
Just grow full size plants and keep it trimmed..
So are the seeds that I order on Amazon actually different than just plain Moringa sheets?
Can you show how to harvest them or carefully pluck or whatever it is called so it can still continue to grow?

Im in CO also- have 2 Moringas that I started in spring and are now inside- I think I will prune them back to a few inches as the leaves have all fallen off. I hope this isn't the wrong time to prune?

How will you know it’s a dwarf seed?
dude: moringa can be better thought of less as a tree than a weed. What I mean is I used to think I'd just put one or two tree in the yard (they didn't survive, ever, after several years of repeat trying) but I think if I grow them like a weed, i can harvest each year even if they survive or dont survive. I can still harvest. I can just plant them like a huge crop load of hundreds of seeds in an area and let them fast grow in the warm season. lol dude! you are cool. The reason that you look so healthy is probably you eat moringia
Hello neighbor, this is my third attempt at Moringa. have you tried rooting the cuttings when you trim them back? Also, where did you source the dwarf seeds? I just have regular seeds from Amazon.
Hello and thank you for your comment. I have not yet propagated the stem yet; however, this is my next project. Have you and if so what was the outcome? I purchased the Moringa Dwarf seeds from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds.
@@growingyourfoodinyourownba1221 Unfortunately, mine have all died due to overwatering. I have 5 seedlings in a 5 gallon bucket. Trying to avoid having to transplant them. I'll keep them in the sliding door area over winter if possible.

I am using my own organic compost.

Only if the Moringa plant need watering. Keep in mind Moringa plants do not like wet feet and are sensitive to overwatering. Established moringa plants are drought-tolerant, but young plants need more consistent moisture to encourage strong growth. Thanks for watching.
Should i plant my moringa seeds straight into a tall container from the beginning? Because I heard also that moringas don’t like to be transplanted too many times
Yes, because Moringas have a a deep tap root system and can grow quite tall very quickly; its best to start using use a pot that is tall and deep. You do not want you Moringas roots to become root bound.
Well after seeing what you have done with your Moringa trees, I’m a little frustrated with mine.
I Purchased seed from a medicinal plant company, and they germinated quickly. They grew to about 6 to 8 inches tall outside in a small covered greenhouse. I suspect I overwatered them. So I repotted them in a new soil with sand. They continue to wither and drop their leaves. All three of them are withering and look like they’re dying. I live in the Pacific Northwest.
Depending on how saturated the soil is around the tap root, it could cause root rot and kill the young tree. Cut back on the watering completely and monitor the soil moisture by sticking your finger in the soil up to your 2nd knuckle. Cut back the tree two inches from the soil line, this will stimulate new growth, providing the tap root is still healthy . Hope this helps.

No I didn't. I do not use this product. I try to use organic products.

I use my own organic compost.
I'm watching this cuz I had given up on my Moringa whom I named Mercy in zone 8a, she had went into shock when I transplanted her, but she needed a bigger pot soo I had no choice. I was about to toss her out to transplant some basil, when she shocked me, she has a taproot but I did water her the other day and the soil is still wet I don't know how to fix this issue, I feel bad for her now cuz she is trying hard to stay alive. 🥰
Thank you for watching. Moringa trees are very resilient and the plants are also forgiving. If the tap root is not dead and you water the plant, I would be patience. The plant will pull through. I’ve also had a moringa plant I thought was dead and to my amazement the plant came out of its dormancy.

What is the tap root? Did I miss something?
Thank you for your comment. The Moringa tree has a single tap root much like a carrot or horseradish with very little fibrous roots. The root does not curl around the bottom. The tap root runs deep into the soil in search of water.
