The Avial stand in the trees, swaying slightly in the gentle breeze of the woods. The furred and scaled stare with emotionless eyes at the unconscious child. But rather than rend flesh from bone... the furred slowly approach and curl around him, closing its eyes and falling into a slumber alongside the boy. Then the scaled. Then the Avial. Hours passed, as the sound of crunching bones in the soft distance and the scream of those unfortunate to have survived. Days past. Not even a stir, did Odin make. Not a stir, did the Sweet Teeth make. What could compell such creatures to pacificity? The Sweet Teeth, the hunters of humanity, the feaster of blood, protector of a young unconscious boy.
