Had a Sport Touring come in a few weeks ago that I'd been waiting on. White/Black. Went to see it in person and felt...nothing. I told the dealer that I was sorry but it didn't move the needle for me... It was NICE, really nice....but not $41,000 nice. I knew exactly how much it would cost but after seeing it I just couldn't do it. It's just too much money for a compact SUV. It the days before the current crazy, you'd be buying new vehicles for 10-15% off MSRP....which means you'd be paying $36-36,500 for a Sport Touring. Still expensive as hell but not INSANE. Paying MSRP or above right now is insane unless you have more money than you know what to do with. In that case, go nuts.
This car doesn’t have much pickup, it is a 1.5 Liter 4 cylinder 190 hsp with a CVT transmission, and it shows when trying to gain speed on roads over 40 mph. The SUV’s are heavier cars, and need some additional HSP. Also, no Bose stereo on highest gas EX-L trim (only on the hybrid version), the standard stereo was not anything to get excited about, and the sunroof is small. 41k is too much money for what you’re getting. Mazda offers more with their turbo versions of the CX-5 or CX50, and you get a Bose Stereo.
@@dalbriggss The hybrid powertrains have a 2.0L, not a 1.5L like on the gas-only. I have a '22 Accord Hybrid with the 2.0L but it's the electric motors that provide the propulsion unless you are traveling at higher speeds. I agree that the 1.5L is wee-bit underpowered for any SUV but turbo trickery makes it feel less so. Slapping forced induction on any small displacement engine makes me VERY concerned about the longevity of the engine. I don't believe we'll be seeing Hondas with 300k+on the clock in the future.

You forgot to mention that the stick shift has a B so what's the B for Bro? so you said that the other is a GAS version, so then this is a PLUG IN Hybrid?
Hey sorry .. I’m not an expert or anything but B mode is for “braking”. Going up and down hills. Keeps you in lower gears for less wear and tear on the hybrid and motor stuffs.. it is NOT A PLUG IN hybrid.

For the Hybrid of 2023 there is Sport and Sport Touring trims only. Gas models have EX and EXL. So there are 4 total trims for the 2023 CRV. 2 gas, 2 hybrid.

Get a better job. The average price of a new care in the USA is now over 40k.

Hubby and I were debating between a 2023 Accord or Pilot, but this might actually be a good compromise!
