Absolutely agree. The more they go to great lengths with the most nefarious means to cancel our culture and try to change us to what they want, the more we need to appreciate these day-to-day life details on the ground to be reminded what US HKGERS are made of.
HK is the first foreign city I've been, and came back there. I fell in love right away. Love that I can go to one place to another by myself, and the vibe also feels different.
i just come back from videos saying hongkong billionaire bought the most expensive house in london. xD and the family expected to live there before christmas. with all that have been happening in hk for sure

Yes there is, though the Germans I know living here are mostly in banking, live on yachts in Gold Coast, and very open-minded to acupuncture. Living quite independent lives per say. The French in HK share their art and culture more I believe. There's even a French theatre community where you can take acting classes. 😊
It was worth waiting almost a month for this video. So well made, interesting, educational. Taylor, you are THEE best youtuber for real!!! The content is so different from everyone else’s. LOVE🇺🇦

Let's take a moment to appreciate her fine work- videography, voice over and small interviews with all the shop owners. We need taylor to get a travel show asap. Love the video ,i never miss her vlogs.🥰
I grew up in Angers! It's weird and funny to see how French people manage to take their culture with them everywhere they go. Also, I wish we were as nice as our food XD Merci pour cette adorable vidéo 🇫🇷🥐
Not that weird, Hong Kong is the 3rd largest Finance capital in the world behind New York and London. There are people from all over the world there. It's very cosmopolitan.
As a French person (from Bordeaux 😉) it's nice to see that French culture is very appreciated in Asia and I hope it will continue for a long time ...🇨🇵🥖😁
I've learnt so much watching this video, I had no idea this all existed there! As a Spaniard, I'm super curious about whether there's a Spanish community too! The lipsticks were super pretty also. Thank you for such an interesting and well-made video, Taylor! I hope you have a lovely day
Philippines has all the Spanish culture in Asia. It doesn't even feel like Asian, but more like a Latin American country. It used to be one of your colonies. They even speak a Spanish creole dialect called Chavacano there where 90% of the words are Spanish. Even as a Spaniard you could probably understand 50% of the Filipino language.
Taylor - your videos are so good now - very professional - as good as any quirky travel show out there. Fantastic editing! I do think you could make a fascinating series out of this. The Japanese, Indian and Filipino communities deserve a look I think.......
someone commented german and I agree! I would love to see that too also, I love how the shop owners are so knowledgeable about the products they sell and the people that they are buying from! you can see that they truly care about what they do
I love that you upload well-researched and creative videos! It really shows that you care about the quality of your videos, not quantity. A lot of my favorite content creators mostly post reaction videos nowadays..so glad you're still doing your thing and getting better at it. Refreshing.
I'm french and I was very honoured that you tried , love our culture and food ❤️ The beret, the black dress with the red lipstick looks so good on you, you were beautiful ❤️
The production quality of this video is on par with one of those programs from big TV stations with massive budgets... Thank you so much for advertising Hong Kong to the rest of the world!
This was so much fun to watch! Great concept, super proud of your sponsorship and the people and businesses you chose were so nice!!!! Definitely gonna check some out when I’ll visit Hong Kong!
I paused halfway through this to write this comment because I'm too excited to wait. I've always loved all of your content but this is next level, professional for you. The research that went into making this must have been detailed and a labor of love. The editing, the format, the songs, the relatable moments, this is so YOU. Well done Taylor! In a time when we can't travel, you are allowing me to feel like I'm seeing a completely different part of the world and a beautiful intersection of cultures. I hope to be able to visit Hong Kong for real someday, but thank you for sharing this in the meantime.
I love how you had a French Day in Hong Kong :) It is so good you can still like enjoy the culture and food where you live. I plan to have a Japanese day in London soon for my 30th Birthday this Month :)
This episode made me yearn for the future when we can safely go out an explore. There's something about French food and cafes that are so romantic, fantastic job capturing their little corner of Hong Kong. Also, You've done Such a fantastic job on these showcases/tourist guides of Hong Kong. The editing is superb, it really does feel like it could be on tv. All with (I'm assuming) a two person crew!
So I was rewatching vlogmas videos 2018, and in the seconds video I saw TayTay’s grandfather still alive, and I suddenly started crying. At that point I realized that Taylor is a digital friend of mine, very dear to my heart. Like I’ve been a part of a family for 4 years now, it probably means something. Just wanted to come here n share this sentimental moment:)))
As a French girl, it's so cool to see French communities abroad! I didn't know about Hong Kong's one. Those people's strories were truly insteresting and inspiring. I hope I too could travel to Hong Kong one day. It was so nice to watch ! ❤ For the Breakfast (petit déjeuner), I guess what they gave you was a mix between pain perdu (litteraly "lost bread") et Croque-monsieur ("crunch Mr") or a sweetened version of the Croque-monsieur. Croque-monsieur is this block crispy toasted bread. It's a salty dish with some ham and cheese in it and sometimes with béchamel (bechamel) on top. If you add a fried egg on top, it becomes a Croque-madame ("crunch Mrs"). Special mention for the Tartiflette, It looked frickin' delicious! 🤤🤤🤤
@@ttby1385 haha it is pretty difficult. But in Canada it's our second language so we have to learn it in school. But even after eleven years I still only know very little maybe I should study more haha 🥲.
Been watching your vlogs exploring places in Hong Kong and I love the content, the casual interviews with locals, and the editing style! It really feels like you are a host of a travel TV show and you are amazing at showing us new places while also being very informative and educational. Love the videos!
I remember walking past Sheung Wan few years ago and past the colourful street mural. Didn’t know Elsa would be featured here, how lovely. Thoroughly researched and owners interviewed, you can tell editing isn’t rushed. Quality content.
Is there a Portuguese community? I would love to know. Portuguese are in Macau and have deep roots there. Some Portuguese writers you should check: José Saramago; Fernando Pessoa; Eça de Queirós; Camilo Castelo Branco; António Lobo Antunes; Sophia de Mello Breyner Andersen; António Damasio...... Love your videos! You are truly creative and refreshing to watch. Excited to see more :D

Taylor you are truly a superhero! Looking gorgeous talking to all different people and visiting different places all day, and then still looking great and energetic cooking amazing meal and filming it all. I'm just in awe
Is there a German community as well? Would be interesting 🧐 ☺️
Yes! Do a German one! I would love that.
Agreed! 😊
Or a Swiss one!
There is one, but it’s small. And not at all that interesting
LOVE🇺🇦
Hi! I am French and I lived in Hong Kong for 3 years and the best croissants I have ever eaten were the ones from Pret A Manger in Admiralty, HK haha ! The bakeries they mentioned in your videos are super fancy 😄
I loved your video ;)
Thanks for the recommendation ☺️
Hi Charlyne, same opinion too! I tought I was the only one who think that. Thanks!
another AMAZING video!!! It's really great seeing a positive and uplifting side to hk amidst the turmoil politics is in at the moment. Thank you so much for highlighting these beautiful shops and people! I can't wait to see what other international community you cover on your channel!!
Seems crazy authentic to me (I’m French)! Congrats on your sponsor (Chanel, la classe 😉) and bravo to you and your team for the quality of your content 👏
What an amazing video!! I kept smiling the whole time and couldn't control myself even if I tried. Taylor knows how to deliver, always !
Let's take a moment to appreciate her fine work- videography, voice over and small interviews with all the shop owners. We need taylor to get a travel show asap. Love the video ,i never miss her vlogs.🥰
What an amazing video! You honestly do great work!!
@@FunkyChild718 Thank you for your comment and teaching me about this!!
ah every video that taylor uploads is art! so beautiful! ♡
Taylor - your videos are so good now - very professional - as good as any quirky travel show out there. Fantastic editing!
I do think you could make a fascinating series out of this. The Japanese, Indian and Filipino communities deserve a look I think.......
I love Hong Kong. Paris and then Hong Kong are my two favorite cities. So sophisticated. Moscow is stunning also. Very classy.
someone commented german and I agree! I would love to see that too
also, I love how the shop owners are so knowledgeable about the products they sell and the people that they are buying from! you can see that they truly care about what they do
I love that you upload well-researched and creative videos! It really shows that you care about the quality of your videos, not quantity. A lot of my favorite content creators mostly post reaction videos nowadays..so glad you're still doing your thing and getting better at it. Refreshing.
I'm French and those places look legit! It's awesome, I love discovering local communities in international cities. Thank you for this video
Italiaaaan! Loved the video, you make such thoughtful and useful videos :-*
I'm french and I was very honoured that you tried , love our culture and food ❤️ The beret, the black dress with the red lipstick looks so good on you, you were beautiful ❤️
spanish community would be super cool! great video, taylor!
It might seem random but would love to see something like this about Russian community :) Our culture is quite different I feel!
The production quality of this video is on par with one of those programs from big TV stations with massive budgets... Thank you so much for advertising Hong Kong to the rest of the world!
Isn't she so adorable? I love her so much!
This was so much fun to watch! Great concept, super proud of your sponsorship and the people and businesses you chose were so nice!!!! Definitely gonna check some out when I’ll visit Hong Kong!
This was such an excellent concept - so imaginative and brilliantly executed. I would love to see you explore Australian culture in Hong Kong!
I paused halfway through this to write this comment because I'm too excited to wait. I've always loved all of your content but this is next level, professional for you. The research that went into making this must have been detailed and a labor of love. The editing, the format, the songs, the relatable moments, this is so YOU. Well done Taylor! Now I want a netflix series!
im french and i went to hongkong in 2019 and loved it!!
hopefully i’ll be able to visit again when this pandemic ends
Taylor, I adore these! Your a natural tour guide!😍 Your vlogs are better then travel show's. TFS! I love the place's you take us, a little escape. Give Rosie all the loving she wants.😘🥰😘
I was waiting for Taylor to post!! Her videos never dissapoint me
I love your way of expressing yourself, meet and talk to other people, and the way you make people around you feel your affability, Taylor.
Taylor, you’re videos are always top-notch ❤️The perfect blend between travel, culture, food, and education! I learned so much in this video, thank you!
My heart is fluttering ☺️ thank you
These last couple of uploads have been excellent! Top notch quality. The execution, *chefs kiss* 😍
Tay I'm enjoying this kind of videos a lot goshh!! By the way i went to thrift stores for the first time and found some amazing stuff!! I wasn't brave enough to go for it before, but i got inspired by your video, thank you.
Also,
You've done Such a fantastic job on these showcases/tourist guides of Hong Kong. The editing is superb, it really does feel like it could be on tv. All with (I'm assuming) a two person crew!
Thank you so much ❤️
Hello Taylor, BIG THANK YOU for those winds of fresh and positives vibes, I needed that, a fellow Canadian Chantale😀🌸🌸🌸🌼
🇨🇦❤️❤️
I agree, the positive vibes are greatly needed. Thank you, from another Canadian 💕
For the Breakfast (petit déjeuner), I guess what they gave you was a mix between pain perdu (litteraly "lost bread") et Croque-monsieur ("crunch Mr") or a sweetened version of the Croque-monsieur.
This video just kept getting better and better i had to keep pausing to check out all the places she was seeing and people she met.
love your outfit in this one!
& the hair & makeup suits you very well :3
Thank you ❤️
@@Taylor_R oh my! been watching you for years but still never expected to see a reply from you! 😸
I love these documentary styled vlogs, it’s so nice and feels a bit like traveling! Its so relaxing to watch 😍
I wish I could speak French but after learning it in school for 11 years I still know nothing 🥲
I relate to this. My family even speaks it as their first language on my dad’s side 😶
French is freaking hard. It's all about rules, and exception to those rules. and verbs, urgh
@@the_laird Ikk the feminine and the masculine verbs 😭
11 years wow that’s still impressive ! It really is a difficult language to learn and let alone master.. If i wasn’t French I would not even try 😂
A new Taylor R video always makes my day 😁✌️❤️ Thank you for all your amazing content!
