Exactly why I always had sympathy for Ritchie. If he was taken care of by his “fake friends,” who he wasted nearly 20 years of his life away in the can for not ratting on, I bet at least 75% that he would have been a more pleasant person IMO. Same goes w/ Feech and to an extent, also Tony B.
Ever notice Feech is the only guy pays Uncle Jun a casual visit? Other people like Richie only come to see Junior with their own agenda in mind, but Feech's visits have more human connection, sure he needs a job right out of the can too but when he's around, he makes Junior's house a lot more lively and like a home. The same reason people enjoy attending his card game. If Feech was around more he could at least keep Junior in friendly company a bit longer. But Tony just had to let him go.
The character of Feech LaManna always reminded me of Philadelphia Mafia member Raymond "Long John" Martorano. Martorano was born in Sicily and was an old timer in the Philly Family. He was from the Angelo Bruno era. He went to prison for a long time. When he got out, the Philly Family is now run by Joey Merlino. Martorano overstepped his boundaries and tried to overtake some rackets that were not his. He ended up getting whacked.
whoa. i love posts like this...let me ask you something, i posted in a forum not too long ago on reddit about Nicky Scarfo. Remember when Sil says "need i remind you of the butcher from AC". Was he talkin about Scarfo? Also I'm gonna look up Ray. Thank you!
I remember that! He was going to get the K &A Gang to be the muscle to take out Uncle Joe Ligambi. He wasn't supposed to be wacked, just warnd to stay retired. Someone, probably Johnny Gongs Cassasanto, got trigger-happy and shot Long John. They ran, and Long John tried to drive himself to Pennsylvania Hospital and passed out in his car and ran into a tree. He died from the car accident, not the gunshot wound.
@@davidmellish3295 He was definitely going back to prison. He may get prosecuted separately for the stolen TVs but he has to finish his previous jail sentence at minimum.
Feech and Richie arc is the turning point for Tony's career as a boss. Everybody saw how loyalty is worthless for Tony and all the structure build over code start falling apart. Those "old timers" were living remind of how the Mafia has changed over time. "You don't kill old elephants"
I also found it hypocritical how it was okay for the boss to rat on someone and get them sent to prison, but is a mandatory automatic death sentence for anyone else.
When I watch these Feech La Manna clips I think about just how much potential there is for a Sopranos prequel show set in the 70s. Too bad the Many Saints of Newark was shit and didn't showcase any interesting new characters aside from Dickie Moltisanti and Big Pussys dad, but they both got killed. Showing us young Feech La Manna and introducing some mentioned characters like Ercole and Rocco DiMeo has so much potential man, it could be like Better Call Saul with Nacho and Lalo
As much as i dislike feech, that last look at the end is really sad. He knows its all over for him. His last view of new Jersey, the game is over, no more gangsta shit, nothing to look forward to . He knows how the rest of his life is gonna play out.
Feech is a great character study in someone unable to let the past glory go. Enjoyed his short stay in the show. One of the few instances were Tony did a good job trying to include him and then at the right point put a stop to it.
Feech was one of the very few “Made Men” I actually thought didn’t deserve how his story wound up ending on the show. He was your stereotypical nosy, motor-mouth Dago grandpa, not overly dirty or devious and he didn’t only talk to his “friends” when money was involved. Old man Angelo was another one I wish they’d kept around and gone a different way with.
Although the show is awesome, in real life Feech’s fate would not have had ended like that. The mafia does not believe in getting third parties involved, in this case the third-party was the parole officer coming a day after his normal schedule. This tells the audience that the parole officer was somehow tipped off which highlights that Tony or someone from Tony’s team tipped off the parole officer
I love how Tony got Feech out of the picture, making it appear to be his own fault. That will resonate well with his crew and extinguish the Feech problem permanently. Brilliant.
Ralphie may have gotten what he had coming to him, but Feech and Richie def had a reason to be upset and disgruntled!!!! Locked up all those years, for not ratting on the “supposed” same friends who treated them like bugs upon their release, when they should have been taken care of and treated like heroes!!
I don't know. The legend of Feech La Manna and Robert Loggia just doesn't add up. Ralph called him a 'Mustache Pete made over on the other side.' This was a term coined by Lucky Luciano to describe the old time bosses of strict tradition, Joe 'The Boss' Masseria and Salvatore Maranzano. True Italian OGs. Ralphie's story would imply that this was a real Italian from Italy who would probably be as old as Junior is now back when Tony, Jackie and Richie were kids and dead by this point. Then we have Robert Loggia come in sounding like he was born in Brooklyn and about Junior's age. This is far from being a 'mustache Pete' and he sounds about as OG Italian from 'the other side' as the rest of them.
Maybe prior to like the 60's they went to italy for the ceremony or some nonsense. Or maybe he lived in Brooklyn till he was like 11 then in Italy till he was like 25 then back to jersey. I agree that the line turned out to be nonsense, probably didn't even know they were going to write him in to the story yet, but there are ways to stretch it I guess. Pretty sad though. He came out of the joint and had beef with the boss and either forgot or never realized how wily a boss would be. He still just saw junior's little nephew instead of stopping and thinking that maybe he shouldn't underestimate someone who got to such a position so fast.
0:34 "Feech was made on the other side..." Are we seriously supposed to believe that Feech LaManna was born and bred in Italy - and yet speaks English without the *trace* of an accent? Impossible!
I never paid attention to that point until I read your comment and heard the opening scene in this short cut lol wow pretty dope. Feech was made on the other side it's hard to not believe Tony blondetto wasn't made he was just a high rankin associate 🤣🤣 damn he should of been Made soon as he got home but I guess he had to go to Jersey to become knucky Thompson 🤣 " Board Walk empire" because he got whacked smh ok lol. But tbh I really do think if it was real I think feech probably would of tried to line Tony up once a person bring up old shit it still bothers them and anyone can use that old situation to have a person to switch sides

10:34 Tony's face is classic mob boss
He jumped out of the tree and attacked me with a chain saw. Lol
🤣
@@davesprague1542 imo, his worst decision was not stopping at roy rogers
More creative than Spielberg this guy
"I gotta right to defend myself Tone!"
@@briandavey1139 His worst decision wasn't just simply puttin the remote back in the docking station, grabbing the money and leaving.
Hey feeetch you know what a hassa is ???- that's a pig that don't fly straight lol😂😂😂

Niether do you frank
SO LONG MEL! HAVE A GOOD TRIP!
You cant shoot a COP
Woeva said juh was one?
Ever notice Feech is the only guy pays Uncle Jun a casual visit? Other people like Richie only come to see Junior with their own agenda in mind, but Feech's visits have more human connection, sure he needs a job right out of the can too but when he's around, he makes Junior's house a lot more lively and like a home. The same reason people enjoy attending his card game. If Feech was around more he could at least keep Junior in friendly company a bit longer. But Tony just had to let him go.
yup!!
He's from the old school
@@ce-rf3lghe was an OG
@@sa19h1j Whatever
Feech was the one who stepped on Paulie's toes and sold the cars without Tony knowing. Sil warned Tony this could become a bad thing.
Bad part, Feech only was promised one TV.
Well it was very unlikely he would get caught unless he was setup like he was
If ralphie hadn't of told the feech card game story to Jackie jr he probably wouldn't have came up with the idea that got him killed.
😂
He was always happy and big mouthed even doe he’s was done and had nothing to lose and lost in the end but not dead
It’s sad to think that the happiest Tony was about Feech was when he was telling the prison story. You know how Tony feels about Uncle Ben.
They did my dude Feech dirty.
They could have wacked him instead
That should go against some code of conduct of narc’in a fellow made guy to the feds
Thank you!
@@ceerious I never thought about that. The “Butcher From AC” most likely is a reference to Scarfo. David Chase was a genius. Thanks! 👍🏼
@@39Hundred thank you too! i figured it had to be Scarfo
“The boy king”
Feech looked at Tony the way Tony looked at Chris, Never deep down really took him seriously.
yup 🎯
Sal Vitro .. the most tragic character
Can't recall anyone else telling Feech to "Phaa Goff huh?"
Weird Ferch is born, raised and made in Italy, has an American accent.
SWEETEST SETUP IN HISTORY! 💯💯💯💯💯
did Feech mention he did 20years in the can? you wouldnt catch Phil doing that
20 years, not a fuckin peep
That look when you’re on the bus headed to county. Miserable smh 😂
And a guy of his age going to prison, you're basically never going to be a free man again.
Think he was going back to prison rather than county
@@davidmellish3295 He was definitely going back to prison. He may get prosecuted separately for the stolen TVs but he has to finish his previous jail sentence at minimum.
Richie and Ralphie are in heaven scrambling eggs
🤣
Definetly not in heaven!
cottage cheese is the secret to it
Did he go make beansie some eggs??
Ralph scrambling the eggs for the fried rice that is continually spilled over Richie in that great Food Court in the sky.
Michael Imperioli utilizing a smoke screen for the ultimate set-up. Even tried to keep it from Feech knowing he’d be interested.
Paulie... "He came at me with a chainsaw...I had to defend myself"... 🤣
Tony would've done Feech a favor clipping him instead of sending him back, bro was only out for six months after 20 years without a peep
Coincidentally, the thumbnail of this video is the very last time Feech will have a smile on his face.
Wish they had kept him around a lot longer.
S5 would of been one of my favorites if they did. that much i do know
@@ceerious agreed! Glad we got the Paulie interaction at least!
Tony at the dinner table with the kids and mother: "It's undermining! And it's one thing I'm teaching my kids NOT to do!". Tony @4:08.
3:34 Hey Feech, did he even really exist?
🤣
@@DjVtheJESUSsoujathat was the same expression lol.
Eat 🥖 it’s good 🍞
As much as i dislike feech, that last look at the end is really sad.
Robert was having troubles with his lines. That's why Angelo became Tony Egg's best buddy in the can.
In my day only Borko could post these clips! It’s time to get rid of Cerrious.
In your day, in your day
Fech sent the hit on tony that killed him in the last episode.
thats it im watching the sopranos again
💪
One of Tony’s best moves. Feech would have inevitably caused a huge problem.
These character compilations are fantastic. That's two I've watched now and that deserves a sub 👍
i appreciate that. alot more
coming. tomorrow im dropping another one.
Lost it all, the TV's, the mansion gates, his grandson to his arm wrestling father.. still remained strong.
Loved his character in the movie Unnecessary Roughness “Don’t throw it to stone hands!”
Feech was a real Hassa
do you know what a hassa is feech? its a corrections bus that don't drive straight
(+looks out window… sees LOWES, etc.
Feech's nemesis was Tony in two of the greatest shows ever - One TV and one on Film.
My Italian grandfather used to pick dandelions for salads too. 😻
12:39 I know that house off Main Street in Lodi NJ! Loved this show being from Jersey and recognizing all the filming locations
Feech totally got on my nerves and I was so glad to see him head back to the pokey!
Never underestimate the other guys greed.
Never get high on your own supply.
And pretty soon you'll find, the problem is not bringing the stuff in.. but what to do with all the fucking cash!!
Lol love how everyone loves the character. I dare say many of you wouldn’t be so enthusiastic if you spent time with Feech.
1:16 Hey Ralphie, did she even really exist?
One of my favorite characters by one of my favorite actors who never got the respect he deserved.
That is the only beat down by the old man that looks legitimately believable. Not like Deniro's Irishman.
Feech got what was coming to him, ask Sal Vitro
I will never forgive HBO for not showing that Card Game in the Many Saints of Newark movie
This is far from being a 'mustache Pete' and he sounds about as OG Italian from 'the other side' as the rest of them.
one of the best answer to this story i heard so far. should be talked about. if you want we can do a video on it sometime
The other side of the hudson river, maybe the sopranos started as a crew in a ny family and he was one of the originals .
Yep. There’s not much mustache Pete-ness with this guy. But still a great addition to the show
When Ralphie said a hippie broad, I knew he was talking about Janice 😂
"Naturally i want my taste, retroactive!"
Going back is a life sentence for Feech. Surprised he went willingly when the parole officer popped him.
0:34 "Feech was made on the other side..." Are we seriously supposed to believe that Feech LaManna was born and bred in Italy - and yet speaks English without the *trace* of an accent? Impossible!
i know. sillyness there
Whatever happened there
I don’t know…. Slander if you ask me.
He meant the other side of town lol
I think silvio is the only crew member that has seen Tony cry.
Robert Loggia was such a good actor @9:25 - wow
Feech is my favorite character and amazing character
Sad to see them go like that....
😂
This was good... well edited.. I like how you did the ending from him and the "Ahh fuck, im Busted" face straight to the bus lol....
Tony was clever to get set feech up like that.. I wonder if Him or Sil came up with that Idea..
probably Sil. "He's well liked, T"
also thank you 😊
Feech is an honorable character and has simply put his 20 years in the can behind him. What a legacy.
"The Sopranos" as in, whoa, look, it's Robert Loggia in The Sopranos
Rest in peace, big guy
