and he was also a good huband who never seemingly cheated. Tony had fuck all advice he needed.
What Tonys really doing whenever he talks to Bobby about marriage is subtly telling him to get Janice in line because he knows she’s a ticking time bomb

i think casting directors are very underrated they really do most of the time choose the best actors and actresses for the rolls and often times people think it’s the directors that did it it’s crazy how good of a job they can do with the little information about the script they’re given they hit it out the park with james

Apart from the dragged out scenes and the constant therapist scenes, sometimes that does get annoying, but at the same time when he's talking to the therapist you learn more about him and understand how tony is a psychopath

*Silvio never talks until it benefits him or those around him. Besides Hesh, he's without a shadow of a doubt the smartest and most well positioned people in this show and it's almost entirely because of his ability to just sit and think before acting*

That scene with paulie tony and feech is instrumental in showing the vast difference in experience between paulie and feech. Think the common reading is that its the difference in showing respect. However i think it stretches a bit: Feech has been in the can half his life and missed out on everything. Paulie on the other hand, is gliding through this sit down like any other. He knows how to placate Tony, he purposely highballs Tony's offer knowing it will land him in the middle, he shows suprise at Feech's lack of servility

:18 s is one of the best things Gandolfini did. In the beginning of Tony Soprano, there are these glimmers of forgiveness and understanding that he relates with his eyebrows and barely softening his face. As the show progresses, he loses this entirely and loses his crews loyalty
