Slick back on medium to long curly hair. Just like Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) on the show Sons of Anarchy please. (Including long sides and back) please!

jax has alot more definition with more movement in it. since his hair is fine they probably just use a light gel or pomade like layrite or brylcreem. i have fine curly hair so i use brylcreem gel cream as a base it dries without any hardening but helps the original hold as u can style when wet. i tend to brush it back to give its shape. then your preferred gel or wax, i like creams and clay as i love using fingertips to get more natural definition compared to a slicker combed look.

My curls won't straighten out with the original brylcream, guess yours won't either if your hair is really curly as mine (don't know how it is with the gel brylcream though). Thanks for the reply though.

Yea...styling a "slicked back" on hair that naturally grows backwards has nothing complex to it, it's pretty straightforward. My hair is thin as hell that the only way he grows is forward and down, even amounts of gel isn't enough to hold it

My hair doesn't lay back like most peoples do. Whenever I try a slick backed style it ends up spiking back up. Any suggestions?

Ian Suess try hair nets and sleep with them on, train you're hair to go back my hair is the same and the hair nets help a lot after a couple months (in my case 3) your hair should start to want to go back.

On fine hair do you use a water-based, or an oil-based pomade?

My hair is fine and much longer than this guys but it doesn't naturally go in a slick back. I always have trouble getting the back to stay down or I get a weird part at the back of my head. I've tried using more product and less product but it's a real struggle. Any suggestions?

    • @christopherjohansson3073

I have the same problem. My hair is thin but gets some kind of wave at the end when it's longer. The only thing I think is helping is to cut your hair short but not too short. or use a gel but that only dries my hair like a desert.

Y'all with thin hair should not use a shine product. Use a matte finish product with a blow dryer for more body.

That is not even close to being "fine" hair. Use an actual real example, instead of wasting peoples' time.
