Its easier if you just hard buzz a v cut to the back of his head after several months and not trim the top at all. Longer hair progressively from front to back. I wore my hair like this for a while and would cut it myself.

Some guys are not blessed with a full thick volumus hair like his. Our's are fine flat and cannot be put back.

Mine was like you are describing yours.. needs a little hard work and the right barber to get where im at now with my hair. And i'd say my haircut is almost similar as shown in the video. People used to tell me that your hair on the forward above forehead cant bend either side, not right not left, just straight up.. but it does now. Obviously you have to grow it a bit

@@KECOYA hairspray always works I have really thick wavy hair so it isnt an issue for me but for people with thin hair that moves about alot it is best to apply water based pomade then add super strong hold hairspray

I faded up one of my friends once and half of his hair is straight and half is curly, and ontop of that, the hair on the back of his head grew in all different directions 😂

Well done m8, wish I had the same haircut done too unfortunately every time I'm going to Barber Salon ( 3 different places so far now) they fuck up my hair so unlucky me oh well I will keep looking and testing other barbers till I find the best one for me. My hair looks great when it’s cut properly and kept fresh. The only problem is that maintaining it is pretty hard because it sticks out on the sides when it grows out and also grows pretty fast.
This hairstyle is pretty high maintenance to keep it looking sharp you would need to go to the barbers every few weeks

I really like this hairstyle because it's rude and versatile. Once I get the enough length I'll get this cut.
I used to slick all my hair back when I was in Middle School but I stopped to wearing it because the gel I used gave me dandruff. However, right now, in the University, I'm slicking all my hair back with cream or wax, or gel even pomade when the situation is more formal.
Make a taper fade with a slick back. I really want to see a taper haircut because I want to get that style and I would like to see how a barber tapers a haircut.

I've rocked this city slicker combed back style since the age of 23 to know I'm 47 and I'm blessed with jet black thick Italian hair. I even grew it long and wore a ponytail Chicago style. Great clips doesn't have nothing on this Hair Stylist great work.

If it's parting in the middle then it's been left too heavy on the top. Your barber will resolve this by removing some of the weight 👍🏻💈

Is the hair on top cut shorter towards the back near the crown of the head so it all reaches the same length at the back of the head when slicked back?.

Everybody’s length of hair to achieve this look will different depending on various factors including hair density, head shape, etc. Obviously it will need to be a good 3/4 inches on the top.

Whenever I try to do this, the hair above the corners of my forehead like to curve downward into and s and not lay all the way across my head.

It's hard to advise you without seeing it. It may be that it's not long enough, you need a certain amount of weight for the hair to lie flat. Equally if the haircut is cut round and not square then you may find that the hair doesn't lie as it should 💈

@@ucthang1972 you probably have Asian course hair(hint*your name) which make it very difficult to lay down. ONLY solution would be to grow the top out long enough for it to lay down and blow dry the hair back with a strong product to hold it down. If that doesn't work is sucks but you just have to find a hairstyle that suit your hair. Good Luck
