Yooo have you guys read any of these books? Personally the last one im putting on my tbr list, seems so cute and fun. PLEASE LET GALPAL KNOW IF U WANT A SPICY LESBIAN BOOK RECS NEXT?? 🌈 p.s. If ur heavily into fantasy, galpal recently did a LGBTQ epic fantasy book vid! th-cam.com/video/c5U7KkH7ROE/w-d-xo.html
Great recommendations by Galpal. Aweome that she also talks about the safety of the covers in case that people are in the closet or have unsupportive families.
I have a whole bookshelf area dedicated to wlw books. I love Galpal’s recs, so here are some more clean and cute books for y’all. (I highly recommend you read these. The are my all-time faves) Some Girls Do - Bi and lesbian rep. First wlw book I ever read and went through the whole thing on one sitting. Contemporary and cute with a happy ending, but there is a little bit of family trauma related to being gay. Pride and Prejudice and Pittsburgh - two words: sapphic timetravel. A modern day bi girl gets sent back in time and meets an aristocrat’s daughter during the 1800’s. Bi and lesbian rep. Historical and sci-fi. AMAZING even if you don’t like either historical fiction or time travel. All Isabel Sterling books; specifically These Witches Don’t Burn (witchy sapphic fantasy with lesbian, bi, and trans rep) and The Coldest Touch (sapphic vampire romance with lesbian and nonbinary rep. I think the main character is also bi). Happy Pride Month!!! 🏳️🌈 And hello Lauren and Galpal :) Edit: these all have happy endings, but some may not be safe to read if you are not out.
I have read all of these already haha. Sky Weaver was the first wlw book I ever read, and was also the first time I questioned my sexuality, so it's a really special book for me. I am currently reading Hearing Red by Nicole Maser (lesbian post-apocalyptic book) with disability (blindness) rep too. I highly recommend, it's a very sweet book.
I’m waiting for my package. I’m getting impatient cuz I’m so excited to read Crier’s War, Gideon the Ninth and A Day of Fallen Night. Your book recommendations are life savers.
i might not have read these myself, but i KNOW gal pal loved these, so I am positive you will too! the premise of Criers war sounds so interesting to me, i want to see it as a movie haha 💜 also i will make sure galpal sees this comment!!
@@laurenelloise I just finished Crier's War ( I took so long cuz I read it during school breaks ) and I NEED THE 2nd PART ASAP, like what- you cant just leave it there-

awww yes!!! i try to read and reply to as much as i can! the baby gay Qs video had sooo many comments wanting a part 2, that i am def going to make that happen! and i love reading comments about people finding their new fav books, or even just appreciating that we include details about the covers, so i like to keep providing this type of content 💜
My first video from this channel was of the sapphic book recommendations of last year, i believe. So I'm always down for more sapphic book recommendations! These sound great, but having a spicier/adult counterpart would be great. Happy pride!
A book kind of similar to The Worst Perfect Moment is Afterlove by Tanya Byrne. "In this powerful, all-encompassing YA love story, a girl who becomes a grim reaper must find out what her future holds-especially when it come to the girlfriend she left behind." I think it's a painfully beautiful story and very well written. It made me cry which doesn't happen often. I definitely would recommend it. It's not really spicy but it's just a good book.
Thank you so much for all your book recommendations! I wouldn't know where to look for them and love the fact that you cover whether they're safe to read when you're not out or not! Also, LOVED the priory of the orange tree!
aww nice! i only read my first sapphic book a few years ago! it was Annie on my Mind. im not sure if your into fantasy or not, but if not, i think the last book would be ur best entry point from all these in the vid! im not a fantasy reader but galpal said id really like the last one! so im sure itll turn up on my bookshelf some day soon
Of all characters, I half-expected the book to pair Art with Lancelot...as a twist on the whole Guenevere and Lancelot romance. Still, the book seems intriguing and I might look into it someday
Best book i have read so far this year was ‘The third daughter’ (sapphic fantasy ✨) it was so good and didn’t feel like a “lesbian romance” that the author had done to meet an inclusion goal, it was just two girls in love trying to overthrow the government which i loved 🏳️🌈🦋. looking forward to more book vids from gal pal 🥳
I look forward to these every year even though I haven’t been reading much this year 😂 I’m reading She Who Became the Sun from your last recommendation video!
I love the book recomendations videos 😍 and Galpal gives just the right amount of detail to get me interested without spoiling it hahahaa. Will be waiting for the spicy recs 🙈
lol thank u for appreciating the intro, totally improv ahhaha and yay! glad you've got some books to add to ur reading list! which one do u think you'll pick up first?
love this kind of videos and gay books recommendation. Gwen and Art are not in love sounds similar to the webtoon comic high clas homos. Sofi and the bone song sounded so good how you described it.

Hello, I have an amazing book recommendation if GalPal is doing a more spicy wlw book recommendation video! I just read a book called our own private universe by Robin Talley and it is absolutely amazing, the best wlw book I have ever read, although definitely meant for older readers.
I remember I, Robot....because I did read Isaak Asimov and than watched the movie presentation... Liked the list. Tried Arwen and Art but the writting was not for me...somehow😮💨...because the blurb is sooo good and promises to be fun and sweet I think.
Id love to read these as i love reading but I've never read fantasy so im not sure if I'll like it. Thank you for all the recommendations and effort creating this series ❤❤
not to worry, i dont read fantasy either! but after galpal read the last book on the list, she came home and said that id really like it, so that might be an easy entry point for you! im def going to give that one a go, less medieval fantasy style haha.
Any suggestions? I’m a first time writer, I found a deep passion for writing and as I am lesbian, I wanted to give my community the books they deserve. I’d like to disclose that as the author, I will probably be biased since it’s my own creation so please keep in mind that getting my book to a wanting audience is my goal and I’ll be transparent by that but genuinely, I could see myself benching it on my period in a heartbeat. Though my book is not yet published, it’s at page 327 out of I have no idea how many thousands of pages there will be and I would love to get some ideas or suggestions of what the community would like to read! Short context without major spoilers, it’s a dark romance wlw with a tad bit of thriller and physiological stuff sprinkled in as a bonus. The relationship between the characters is rather intense, meant to keep the reader on their toes, any thoughts? I’d love to hear them! It’ll be published under the name of Hit me like a woman which might give off some hints of the direction it’s going to sass its way over to.

2 lesbian fantasy recs (i havent seen your other vids yet so im not sure if youve already done these) Hearts Still Beating is a postapocalyptic romance between a "zombie" girl named Mara and her childhood best friend to enemy zombie hunter Rory and a few years after the apocalyse had happened, Mara is sent to live with rory and rory is not happy about it, doesnt trust her (the zombies are called Ticks like a parasite of the mind and theres a medicine ticks habe to take every day to keep them from going rabid and killing everyone) and theres them 2 teying to figure it out, theres a bigger plot, and you can guess whqt happens between these two❤ it was five atars for me, propbaly my favorite lesbian book recently And the second is actually a trilogy called Girls of Paper & Fire which is abt a human girl named Lei who is stolen from her poor village to be a consort for the demon king along with 8 other girls, all of which have interesrimg backgrounds and stories and theres one girl in particular who at first Lei doesnt get along with because the firl is closed off and secretive but then they start to like each other and theres a bigger plot and everything. Trigger warning for SA with the demon king, an animal death at the beginning and violence and some spice but not super explicit. Id say the 2nd book had more talk of trauma and the last book is more plot driven. I think each book has content warnings so read at your own discretion Also one more i just remembered is The Coldest Touch which is between a vampire named Claire and a human named Elise, its been a while since i read it but essentially elise can see when people are going to die and bumps into claire when she goes to a store to find something to break her curse and finds out she cant see how claire will die. Claire is looking for revenge against the person who turned her into a vampire and wants to use elise for her personal gains but then yhey start caring about each other and all that.
