I mean, is there anything more soothing and infinitely effortless than watching this man play drums.
The GOAT for me.
The drums and cymbals are set up ergonomically perfect for him, and his drumming reflects an effortlessness and comfort level smoothly displaying the physical aspect of his ability to make his contribution to this musical composition come to life. In other words, he's good.
Masterwork. Elite player. Premium shirts.
Steve’s shirt game is always strong.
Beautiful drumming, wonderful musical homage to Bud Powell!
That stick work is second to none.... friggin brilliant.
Stick control like no other. Thank you Steve and band.
Masterful playing Steve, and nice shirt!
Great musicality. One of the greatest.
I had the good sense to go to a Steve Smith clinic and I gotta say, it was inspiring, interesting, fascinating, enjoyable & mind-blowing to say the least. SECOND TO NONE. HIGHLY recommend!!!
Exquisite playing!
Steve is just great!
Love the Sonor drums.
One Word....Superdrumming !! Wish I had one arm or one leg of this Men 😂....Hope I can buy a Sonor set one day.
Such elegant playing!
Brilliant❤
I’m totally digging this approach to a tough tune, for sure. 😀👉🏼🥁🤷🏻♂️
Great looking video and sound....with the best drummer there is! Thanks Sonor and Steve!
There we go again, there is no "best" drummer, it is no contest. There are so many wonderfull drummers please stop the contest.
@@peterpeters4553there are lot of great drummers, sure but Steve among the very top elite and the best to me. No need to get yourself some defensive and upset😂 👍🏼🥁
@@mrc8086 I am not upset at all and Steve is indeed a great drummer that is not my point i am just saying that's all. You see this also with guitarplayers, again it is not a contest . No one is the "best" but there are lots of good players.
@@peterpeters4553 I'm so tired of this endless "best" contest as well (Steve Smith is one of my favorite drummers)
Exquisite feel, musicality and technique. Bravo!
Steve Smith is phenomenal is every musical context! Just awsome!
Holy S#^&! That was amazing Steve!
my favorite drummer excelent
Awesome playing ❤
Wow!
Steve Smith always has been great: Not let the techniques prevail, but gets very much guts feeling in his playing. I love it.
Absolutely classic Steve. Maestro!
There is so much taste in his playing!
Drums and Cymbals sound Amazing 😮
still love your work!!
Superb sounding drums being piloted by one of the masters.
Beautiful music, great sounding drums, masterfully played. Steve has evolved in a spectacular way.
Steve Smith est mon meilleur, quelle musicalité, je me lasse pas de l’entendre
Bravoooo!! Bravoooo👏👏👏👏
Amazing drumming
Man, as I listen to this what truly amazes me is how he employs every single component of this drum kit. It just all needs to be there for him to execute this. And it's so musical. It's mind boggling to me, an old guy who can barely find his way around a five piece these days. It's all how you use it.
Serving the music. Steve can play it all!! 🔥🔥🔥
The master practicing is craft !
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Высочайшее мастерство. Нетленный шедевр❤❤❤
Amazing! Simply amazing!
Brings me back to Buddy Rich. So nice.😶🌫
If anybody said to me...." Show me an articulate.. precise... fluent drummer ".... I'd say....' Here you go '.... Just effortless , tasty drumming , and fills...truly a talented....to say the least...." Drummer's Drummer ".....🤗
😎👍💗💪🥁🔊🎼STEVE ROCKS!!! I've been a hugh fan since his outstanding performance on T-Mac's "Edge of Insanity!"
❤❤❤
Absolutely incredible.
Wow . Talking about smooth and effortless.
Endless Inspiration !!! Thank you !!! Such a great tone !!!
Mr. Smith ❤
Masterful Drumming!
Kozak!
Just saw Steve a couple months ago at a local club here (pretty much same kit and set up as here). Amazing player and one of the greats IMO.
Beautiful.
LEGEND.......... ...............
Bastante Loco diría yo!
😁🙌🏼🥁
Amazing Drummer Steve!
Excellent video production!
Thanks! Greetings from Barcelona
❤
Wonderful playing! And that shirt!!!
Der Hammer.
Love it!!
This is great!
The meaning of perfection.
Totally awesome drummer 😎
Absolute Silk!!!!
so good
It's not often I'm speechless...
what a legend!
Thanks for that.
Master on the drums
I love that all three tom toms are the same depth. I've wanted to try the same idea with 10x10, 12x10, 14x10.
More Cowbell! No, I think this is close to perfection.
Nice to listen a Sonor drum kit performed by Steve Smith using #beyerdynamic on snares, hihat and kick drum. I love it!!
👍 😎🥁
Damn!!! ❤
beautiful
Cette frime …
They ought to sell that kit again
I wanna know where he got his shirt!
Smiles
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
It's an Afro-Cuban tune. This sounds more like straight-ahead jazz sans the "A.C.feel". I prefer the somewhat livelier tempo of the original Blue Note recording and Max Roach's Aftro-Cuban drumming style using his cowbell throughout. This gem of a Powell composition is a jazz standard and those playing it are taking an awkward chance trying to play it any other way than Afro-Cuban.
No pedals or hi hat is Sonor on a SONOR video?
great stuff!
what ride is that btw?
The professor 😮
3:43 piece of stick tip goes flyin
What ride is Steve using?
I respect Steve for covering these pieces, but I think there's too much rack tom for jazz.
what is the ride on the right please?
Seems to be a K Custom Left Side Ride with rivets th-cam.com/video/jaLLzVGds1g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=VQogjH7kHe_GFnsI
I think for jazz, he likes to use Zildjian Kerope
K Custom Left Side Ride w/3 Rivets
it's all DW hardware FFS!
I love Sonor. Their hardware is simply, the least good of the main brands. That’s speaking for their Tom mounts too. Their amazing drums are worth it tho
Nice hybrid
Absolutely Fantastic!
Amazing
