The Whiskey vault video featured in this video is what got me hooked on Still it's channel and Im extremely happy to have found it. You have great content Still it defenetly will be watching more of your videos! Im new to the channel but I think you said you were going to the USA for holiday if im not wrong then please do a collaboration with the whiskey vault!
That was great! Such an amazing gift to get that level of professional critique. Really interesting watching them tease out the flavors. And your sneaky additions prove they know what they're talking about. Great video and great collaboration:-)>
I know this video is over 3 years old but as far as the US law is concerned... Here in the US we can distill at home for private consumption. Although there is a limit we have up to 200 gallons a year that we can produce per household. So in my opinion I'm sure that that limit completely has enough room for the hobbyist to enjoy the craft.
I am SO happy this finally happened. Still it and the Tribe were my gateway drug into whisk(e)y-ness. I may have also "allegedly" picked up another hobby that may or may not be strictly speaking " legal" and any such activity can neither be confirmed nor denied... That being said thanks for taking us on a kick ass journey with you! Cheers!
I brew meads and wines as a hobby, it really is nice to get someone to give an honest opinion on your stuff. Luckily my brother in law is a picky wine drinker so he is usually the first person I give a new brew to, to see if I went off the deepend or not.
Glad they finally got to your samples. I would also say well done! You have taught me more than I should probably know. Congrats!! And I liked the reaction scenario too.. Party on Jesse!
Congrats, Jesse! You are one brave Dude to put it out there. Well done. As I have concluded and you have demonstrated, there is no substitute for aging spirits, whether on oak or not.
Came here from the Whisky Vault review of your stuff. Man, I'm so glad you did this! Very entertaining and I really like your manner. I'll be subbing and checking out your vids!
I love that it.! Ok, so I'm currently binge watching episodes, of all my preferred channels, and am loving how I've got to watch all of these episode in order; switching from channel to channel to end here getting to watch thid episode of "The Vault" with you, so that I am able to anticipate your reactions. Pretty cool, and a first for me, so that's cool too.. Either way, keep up the good work, and happy distilling
First off, Congrats! I'd call that a success. Totally loved the 'control samples', mainly cuz you were just f**king with them, but it did add value/credence , too. Also, I watched this video, without having seen the vault's video, which made this seem much more interactive, and it turned out absolutely awesome. 10/10 for distillery wizardry and production skill. The only downside... I'm halfway through Sober October and this video is testing my willpower because they made your whiskey sound so delicious.
This awesome, That Tribe vid your watch is how I found your channel, its cool, cause I spent the last 4-5 hours watch some of your play lists 2 thumbs up
Cool stuff! Just came across you from one of the Tribes vids with your link. Yea man, Rex and Daniel especially nail it for sure and that's why I've become a fan because they do know their shit and I like the blinds good job throwing them some fuckery because you had to.
I've only gotten through some of your videos, but did get through one of your early cuts talks. When I watched it, I thought of Rex and Daniel's reactions to some young distilleries- that the cuts make all the difference. Watching this, it confirms it- with your comment, too- sometimes they have to chase volume to make money, at the expense of great taste. You don't, and chase the great taste. Seems like it, at least, from someone who has zero experience with distilling and cutting.
I think it was a very good review. And I love the commercial throw ins. Keep the MB’s on there toes. I told them to send you some of the peated there making now. 👍🏻👌🏻🥃🤯
Yeah man on the vanilla infusion, don't underestimate the power of vanilla flavour. You'll probably only ever need less than half of how much you think, it's crazy strong.
Well, you get a subscribe for not only the content, but also the fact that you are rocking a LA Kings mug! From a fellow Kings fan, good work and keep up the channel!
Ayyyyeeeeeee! Wify is from LA. She got me into hocky the year they won their first cup. I have been hooked ever since! GKG!! Are you in NZ? Kings fans are a few and far between here!
Living in America, we can brew our own beer hell, you can even build your own gun, yet we arent smart enough to distil our own alcohol? Unfortunately it's another tax situation.
Congratulations on making a good drop we all take pride in chasing the craft I can see these guys receiving many more samples in the future also wanted to give you two thumbs up for being a sneaky bastard.
Nice video mate, getting into the hobby transitioning from home brewing. Really like your approach... By the way..... Think about pattenting your laughter. Cheers from Spain
The more I dive deeper into the world of whisky, the more jealous I get about not being able to make my own whisky here 😭... Any chance you have a spare room down in NZ? I will work for whisky and work visas!!
The State of Missouri has supposedly legalized the distillation of up to 100 U.S.Gallons per year. The Federal Government has not changed the federal law, but the State has said we don't care, so leave the craft distiller in Missouri be.
You do realize you know someone who does want to make a business out of distilling. You should ask them if they would like to produce your whiskey recipe. Maybe as a Crowded Barrel/Still It confabulation! Cheers.
I don't know where this idea that it's illegal to do home distillery in the US is coming from but it seems like a lot of people even here believe it. Now states all have their own laws so maybe there are some states that it's illegal to make people believe this. But there is no federal law in the US currency in forced making it illegal to distill your own product for your own consumption. It only becomes illegal when you are producing and distributing commercial quantities without proper licensing, adherence to regulations and most importantly paying taxes on the product. But it is perfectly legal to produce your own product as a hobby.
Blood shot eyes and alcohol vapour on the breath, hmmmmmm ? I know it looks like that boss but relax, Loool, it's just Listerine and a coincidental simultaneous case of conjunctivitis
Hi dude, someone else mentioned this as well. Which is weird! How many did you get? There is only supposed to be one max! Can you confirm what you got served so I can build a case for support??
Just getting a chance to watch this. Love it, sir. Thanks for such a pleasurable experience. Grateful to be in this kickass community with you.
Thanks a bunch guys, you did me a solid on this one!
You have me fired up to up my game and come back for round two!

@@StillIt So if you ever need a second opinion on your product, i will take one for the team and review it. You're welcome.
Very impressive guys, clearly you know what you are talking about.
We can do wine and beer in the US. We're working on distilling too.
That video is the one that got me watching your channel. And this video just popped up in my feed. Great reaction video.
So this was the video that brought me to your channel, it was really interesting to see your reactions.
Commercial one has additives and sugar added. Will always taste a bit better. Up to 28g probably per quart
Love these guys!
Great show!

I thought "Uncle Jesse" was a reference to "The Dukes of Hazard" and that it tasted like 3 day old Daisey Duke shorty shorts.....
It's not illegal everywhere in the United States. It's just illegal to sell. In my state you can make 200 gallons a year per household.
I am SO happy this finally happened. Still it and the Tribe were my gateway drug into whisk(e)y-ness. I'm in Canada , Totally Legal across the Board.

How is that infinity bottle coming along?
Should have made them full picture .. I mean you were just sitting in the chair and YOUR WHISKEY and the vault guys were the highlights of the video..
I didn't even realize it was Rex telling a story until watching your reaction... you've flipped the paradigm!
Haha right? Took me a while to click too !
Kinda sad to see the whiskey boys didnt get the dukes of hazard... uncle jessie, they always would be running moonshine. Lol
Congrats, Jesse! You are one brave Dude to put it out there. Well done. As I have concluded and you have demonstrated, there is no substitute for aging spirits, whether on oak or not.

It’s bloody hilarious their description of Ballantines... it’s one I actually really like 😂

The classic, basic Makers Mark is $19-31 750ml bottles (California US). Homey called it!
Isn't New Zealand the only country that has legal home distillation?
