Kudumbigala monastery is a historical place situated within eastern province in Sri lanka. It is about 12km away from panama.The history of the site goes back to 2nd century B.C. still It is a monastery.
This area is surrounded by stones, drip ledges caves and ancient ruins.
There is a good viewpoint named segiri balumgala, you can hike there and enjoy with beautiful scenery.
Kudumbigala is a sanctuary. Kudumbigala monastery is located inside the sanctuary. Because there you can see wild Elephants, leopards, bears etc.
