The fatquartershop and your dream team! Lilly you are thread that binds them together!!! Let's have a wonder day!!!!
Hello! Another great video! I have had a day where I have been running around doing errands and didn't stitch all day so now I'm hand quilting and watching. I hope you have a joyful week ahead. Thank you for posting this video and your creativity.
I just bought the Snail Trail Foundation Paper, the Add a Quarter ruler, and the glue stick. I absolutely love these products! I am new to quilting and these items make it so much easier to create beautiful blocks. Thank you Kimberly for your videos, I have already learned so many helpful tips and tricks from watching you!
I love paper piecing. I must try this one. This is so pretty and it is so fun to watch this come together and your points always, always match up. A difficultly pieced block with lots of intersections and all the points match up perfectly. Love it! Thanks Kimberly. I have done paper piecing for a long time. It was one of the very first things I tried…..way before internet help and TH-cam videos. I basically taught myself from pattern instructions. I even helped my grandson make a Christmas tree to give his mom using paper piecing. He was amazed that he was able to make it turn out so perfect when he had never used a sewing machine before. He was about 10 at the time. Thanks Kimberly for this great video! You make it look super easy and take the scary out of it. So fun!
Thank you Kimberly for demonstrating this snails trail. I definitely will try this block using your papers. BTY loved the music while we watched you ❤️
Once again, watching Kimberlee cut and sew is a marvel! A true artist. However, paper piecing is way beyond my expertise, but it sure is fun to watch. I really like Kimberlee’s videos.
LOVE this!!!! Snail trail is on my bucket list but I’ve been too scared to try it. Squeee! I’m going for it with my favorite foundation papers! Thank you Kimberly & FQS/It’sSewEmma😍
I just used the vintage kite paper for the first time and it’s amazing! Can’t wait to try this snail trail paper. Love, love, love the music in this video as well 💗
Wowzers! I’m glad you made this video. I was afraid to try this one, but now I can have the video on during my first few blocks until I get the hang of it. Thanks FQS!
Great video! I have paper pieced, but your method of creasing the paper and sewing 1/4 inch beyond the seam, trimming the edges to 1/4 inch before sewing, and using the roller are all going to improve my outcome greatly. Thank you!
Oh my Gosh, I have always wanted to make a snail trail quilt but was so intimidated by it. This video and the paper are wonderful , thank you. I am defiantly going to be buying the paper and can't wait to get started. Thank you again, for all you do it is greatly appreciated.
This is an excellent tutorial and I greatly appreciate it. I now have Snail Trail Foundation Paper and the rolling press on my Fat Quarter Shop wish list.
I'm so happy to see this new foundation piece pattern. Having all those bias edges makes it easy to go wompey. Thank you, Kimberly, for the two options. Just wished you offered a 9" block too.
Oh my goodness! I have been waiting my whole life for this!!! 🤣. This the one pattern I have wanted to do for years and have been so intimidated by it, now it is made easy!!! Thank you FQS!!!
What a great video on paper piecing your snails trail block!! I teach paper piecing at a quilt shop where I work and I’ve picked up a couple of tips from your video that I will incorporate into my demos!! Thanks for doing such a great job!!! PS…love your foundation papers!
I've been planning a snail's trail for a while, and since I love foundation paper piecing, this is perfect! I've used some of your other foundation papers, and they are really great to work with.
Thank you for the video! When I opened my box yesterday and saw those papers I was unsure of using them. Thank you Kimberly for a new understanding! Will you have others like this???
love this, still hoping you come out with the Fight or Flight block to make the storm at sea, (triangle in a square) I love foundation paper to make blocks! Thank you so much!!
Pretty block....I take it you put the fabric on the opposite side so you can see the lines to sew on. It seems you would almost have to glue or be very careful where you put your pins!
Thanks for the video. I’m wondering, can you press the blocks with a dry iron, after removing the paper, if you’ve used the glue pen? I’m getting ready to order the foundation paper and the add a quarter ruler and wonder if I should include the glue. I like that the glue allows placing two pieces at once. Thank you.
@@FatQuarterShopTX Thank you, but I was wondering what happens when the blocks are pressed after removing the paper if glue is used. Like when the blocks are sewn together in a project and then pressed for quilting. Is it safe to press since there is glue on the fabric.
Love this idea, but I've tried paperpiecing a number of time and for some reason, it just doesn't work for me. I do keep trying though, love your instruction
It would be great if the page for the number of blocks needed for each size of quilt was viewable when ordering so we know how many pads of paper to order at one shot. Hope you thought of that.
Hello Janice! You may be sewing on the wrong side of the paper. The fabric goes on the wrong side of the paper and then turn over and sew on the right side of the paper
@@FatQuarterShopTX thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I was looking at page 2 of the March box exclusive with the instructions and the section Make your blocks shows a picture of the block which doesn't match my block but it matches the block shown in this video. So I believe I have been doing it correctly. This was driving me nuts as to why it wasn't coming out right!

I like that kind of music too!
Thanks Kimberly!!! Not I can finally make the snail trail that I have always dreamed of making! 😘💃💃💃💃
Finally, I tried this out and I loved how easy it was. Making ocean waves for a baby quilt.
I could watch you do this all day. 😁

I love your piecing videos! Great job, Kimberly! Thanks a bunch for the demo on the new foundation paper. By the way, you look especially good!
That is so cute, great instructions
What a great video on paper piecing your snails trail block!! I teach paper piecing at a quilt shop where I work and I’ve picked up a couple of tips from your video that I will incorporate into my demos!! Thanks for doing such a great job!!! PS…love your foundation papers!

Thank you for showing how to use paper, I have never used paperexcept for triangles.

I ❤️❤️❤️❤️ this. So cool 😊

Hello Ellen! We will continue to make more foundation paper.
love this, still hoping you come out with the Fight or Flight block to make the storm at sea, (triangle in a square) I love foundation paper to make blocks! Thank you so much!!
This is great! I have my order in!
Nice!!!!
Love it!
Awesome 🤩
Fantastic product and great instruction. You have the prettiest hands and nails of any TH-camrs!
Pretty block....I take it you put the fabric on the opposite side so you can see the lines to sew on. It seems you would almost have to glue or be very careful where you put your pins!
Hello Pat! Yes, that is correct. The fabric goes on the blank side. We recommend checking your fabric placement before pinning or gluing.
So excited to use this paper!!!! Question-when doing a whole quilt, do you chain piece or focus on one block at a time? Thanks!!!!
Hello Kristen! Kimberly typically chain pieces
Thank you your paper is wonderful ..what kind of glue you use?
Hello Elsa! Kimberly is using a Sewline Blue Fabric Water Soluble Glue Pen - bit.ly/37P9ZF7
❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for the video. I’m wondering, can you press the blocks with a dry iron, after removing the paper, if you’ve used the glue pen? I’m getting ready to order the foundation paper and the add a quarter ruler and wonder if I should include the glue. I like that the glue allows placing two pieces at once.
Thank you.
Hello Kathleen! Yes the glue is water soluble and will wash out when wash your quilt.
@@FatQuarterShopTX Thank you, but I was wondering what happens when the blocks are pressed after removing the paper if glue is used. Like when the blocks are sewn together in a project and then pressed for quilting. Is it safe to press since there is glue on the fabric.
Is there a guide for yardage for the various quilt sizes? It would be helpful to include this in the pads.
Hello Meari! We include the number of blocks for different sizes but not fabric requirements.
Even with the paper piecing this looks like a lot of work for 1 block. I appreciate the demo otherwise I would not know what to do.
Love this idea, but I've tried paperpiecing a number of time and for some reason, it just doesn't work for me. I do keep trying though, love your instruction
Can you starch the layer cake squares?
Hello Sandy! Yes, you can starch the layer cake squares if you'd like.
Does the glue gum up your needle?
Hello Lorie! The glue does not gum up her needle.
Was there anywhere in pattern that said to cut squares in half with sew sampler box pattern.
Hello Nanasneedles! Yes, it did say in the March Sew Sampler quilt pattern to cut squares in half.
@@FatQuarterShopTX I did see it that instruction on the template pad but not on the Sew Emma pattern. Recommend adding such a comment. TU
Can you tell me where to find the numbered alphabitties. I looked on fqs and didn’t see them
Hello Carol! Here is a link to the Alphabitties Expansion Pack www.fatquartershop.com/alphabitties-expansion-pack
Hello Kimberly
It would be great if the page for the number of blocks needed for each size of quilt was viewable when ordering so we know how many pads of paper to order at one shot. Hope you thought of that.
I am following the directions and my pattern comes out backwards what am I doing wrong?
Hello Janice! You may be sewing on the wrong side of the paper. The fabric goes on the wrong side of the paper and then turn over and sew on the right side of the paper
@@FatQuarterShopTX thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I have never paper pieced. You took a lot of the scary mystery about it away.
