    I am glad I saw your review. The comparison with other options and then narrowing it down to a recommendation of alternating it with a Novablast 3 depending on the type of run you have in mind. Wonderful. I am a recreational runner of 62. I do 10 or 12 kms a day (at 5 or 6 minutes to a km) and it makes me feel good. The Nimbus 25 seems to be perfect for my liking and I pre booked it with my dealer here.

    I have the Nimbus 24 and I stopped running in them. Super comfortable and stable but.. Heavy and not enough midsole in the forefoot. Excellent for walking.. Nimbus 25 seems to be solve the skinny forefoot midsole on the 24. Also being used to the Speed Roll in the Endorphin Speed 2 and 3 I am glad they added it to the 25.

    I have the Nimbus 23 but did not try the 24. I will be purchasing the 25 when available. Kind of ironic that I’ll be getting the Max cushioned 25 in a couple weeks and meanwhile I just started running in the Altra zero drop Provision as well as the Xero HFS barefoot shoe! Yep I know that’s crazy but I’m experimenting.

    • @iosifkovalenko8364
      @iosifkovalenko8364 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’m a huge fan of minimalist zero drops. Been wearing them for years but only take them out on shorter easier runs. Mostly wear them for walking and hiking. They really seemed to strengthen my feet and my back/knees are thanking me.. with that said, I mostly run in 4-6 mm drop and occasionally 8mm if I love the midsole enough.

  • @TolunayOrkun

    Great review Sam. I liked this new Nimbus 25. It is a big update and that colorway really clean for summer usage (well, sooner over here in Texas)! Finally, they got rid of the bulk of that old "gel" technology and plastic piece. I would very much love to see what the new Pure gel looks like if someone were to cut the shoe open at some point. I bet they didn't really need it but to continue the name Gel-Nimbus I guess they had to include a token of it (marketing guys at work).
    IMO, This Nimbus makes quiete a bit more more sense than SuperBlast in a rotation. I think it will be great for recovery/easy miles and personally I think it is competing with New Balance FreshFoam More v4. I hope your written review includes a comparison with FF More v4.

    • @RoadTrailRun

    • @RoadTrailRun

      Personally I would say not but depends. The Glideride is lighter and of similar stack but totally rocker based and effectively so unlike Nimbus which bridges a more traditional ride and some rocker. I might include something like a Novablast 3 or Magic Speed 2 or from Saucony Endorphin Speed 3

    Hi there, love your reviews. I have one question: I'm size 11 on Nikes, Brooks and Sauconys and 10 1/5 in Adidas, I own a pair of Noosa Tri 13 size 10 1/5 and they fit perfectly. But in 2018 somebody brought me a pair of Asics (i live in South America, don't remember the model) size 10 1/5 and they were too small. So I have to order most of my running shoes online and I'm scared that they won't fit. I guess the question is do you think I have to order this shoes in size 11 or 10 1/5?

    • @woodr.3730
      @woodr.3730 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Asics have enough length so you can buy 10.5. However, some narrow models are exist, so you may find 2e model(wider one).
      Before purchase, if have ruler with centimeters(cm), then measure your foot length front to back with standing on hard floor and socks on(you don't have to wear socks if you're not wearing socks with shoes). Based on your foot length, 280cm=us10, 282.5cm=us10.5, 285cm=us11. Usually us 8to9 or 11to12 have 10cm differences, but only 10to11 have 5cm difference. If your foot size between 10.5 to 11, then buy 11.
      P.S. 10.5 is 10 1/2. 10 1/5 is 10.2, and most shoes don't have 10.2 size.

    Do they really need to add that much stack? Just add 1 in the heel and 3 in the forefoot, it will still be very cushioned, they won't need a platform that wide, plus they can shave off some weight.
    Still don't understand everyone's hype about overly-max stack height. How tall do these shoes will go eventually? 10cm? just ridiculous.

    Asics Glideride v3 is probably the best option in here in long easy runs. For me it beats the Nimbus 24 which it comes in in not so plush, the roll or toe spring is best in the Glideride v3 compared to the Novablast and haven't compared it to the Superblast but it's something around $80 cheaper so why do it that when hands down its just a better option. Where do you place the Glideride v3 in your top 1-5 in these shoes?

    • @RoadTrailRun
      @RoadTrailRun  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would agree Glide Ride 3 has the best roll of the group and is the most directed. Some may find it over directed and kind of linear though

      @@RoadTrailRun what should would you rotate with the Glideride v3? I have the Nimbus 24(actually 2 pairs) but that's for easy days. Anyhow I'm a huge fan of the rocker on it. Would a New Balance SC trainer be like a big brother or better version of the Glideride? It's cheaper than the Superblast so curious on your thoughts. No channels really have a after 100 mile review of the Glideride or I have yet to see one. So neither do they have a rotation including the Glideride v3 and I think it's a great shoe. Any recommendations on this sir? My Nimbus is for easy, Glideride is for long and easy and what's next? Speed shoe or tempo? I'm not a professional runner all ears to your feedback. Adidas takumi sen 8's are on sale so was leaning towards that.

    • @RoadTrailRun
      @RoadTrailRun  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@joey.chavez333 Let me ponder... I do think you might like the SC Trainer a faster flavor but maybe not quite as rock steady as the Glideride 3 as a more fluid kind of heel. Given your other shoes you might also look at the Saucony Endorphin Speed 3 as a faster compliment.
