    This shoe has single handily changed my training during this block. I’ve put on 300+ miles on my first pair and every run still feels as good as the first time I’ve put them on. Looking forward to putting on my second pair once I get to 400

      @@elliotendures hey! Totally agree . I’ve put in about 400 miles in my Novablast and they are very different shoes. I would say that if you’re looking for a faster work out shoot or something for a little more tempo, use the super blasts which I’ve also put close to 200 miles in and recommend those over the nova blasts

      @@joshuaroque6514 I LOVE the Superblast. I have a couple "faster" shoes that I like, so I am sorta trying to find the super comfy cruiser that rounds the rotation. Race shoe, Superblast, thinking maybe Boston 12 and then one for the easiest miles.

    This isn't related to the shoe, but I wanted to let you know your videos from your journey to sub-3 at Grandma's Marathon inspired me to run the race this year. Before that, I never even entertained the idea of running a full, choosing to focus on half marathons.
    I ran a 3:49:02, running a negative split (1:55:04 and 1:53:58) while managing to stave off the wall until the last mile.

    Love the Nimbus 25. I'm reaching 400 miles on my first pair, and I definitely agree that they're so great for easy and recovery runs as well as traveling. This is my shoe of choice when I'm on the go since I can do runs and still be comfortable walking around. Just ordered my second pair a couple days ago. Great long term follow up vid, Ko!

    I’m currently recovering/returning back from runners-knee injury, and have been researching for a new rotation shoe, and saw your first take en Nimbus 25 and some other reviews, got to my local sports store and they also recommended the Nimbus 25, tried them at the store also More V4, and have some days thinking. But just couldn’t get over the comfy foam and everything on the Nimbus 25. So got back to the store bought them, had them on a full day and later that day got some KMs done, absolutely no regrets.
    So thank you, enjoying your work, keep em coming! 👊

      I replied to a comment above that I also tried the More4 (along with most other comparable shoes) which I bought the Nimbus25, but I eliminated the More4 almost instantly. They felt clumsy compared to the Nimbus and unnecessarily wide and far less versatile--eg. I enjoyed a lot of walking in the Nimbus in addition to running and the More felt weird to walk in. I also found the Nimbus to be more resilient though people differ in how they find the different foams.

    Great to see it’s holding up well! I’ve gotten two 5-mile runs in my Gel-Nimbus 25’s so far and it is plush. Imo, there is a break-in period though. The first run was a bit stiff and firmer than I thought, so I wore it casually for two days and that made the second run softer and more enjoyable than the first.
    So glad I sold my More v4’s to get these. The foam sidewalls on the More constantly gave my feet blisters, even though I got them in a wide. The FFX is not as soft as the FFBlast+ either.
    I recommend the Gel-Nimbus 25’s to anyone looking for a max cushion shoe.

    • @levandmarthapolyakin-aaron2183
      @levandmarthapolyakin-aaron2183 ปีที่แล้ว

      I find pretty much all my shoes’ midsoles soften up after the initial miles, and that includes several brands with different types of foam. I don’t consider that a break-in period as in when something is irritating or downright uncomfortable. I won’t buy a shoe that needs the latter sort of break-in, with so many options being comfortable right out of the box. I tried on the More4 when I bought the Nimbus and dismissed it within a minute of testing. As a very petite female, 101 lbs, it felt like barges on my feet and so much clumsier than the Nimbus25’s.

    Another great review! I love my More V4, and the discounts make it easy to defer to that again when my current pair runs out of juice. But these would certainly be my second pick.
    I have plenty of shoes that go fast, so I have less need of a jack of all trades shoe and I’d rather get the best for a specific purpose. Since my runs are almost always either easy/recovery or fast/long, my shoe choices have kind of reflected that as well. I just find the standard daily trainer to fall into no man’s land for my preferences.

    Just bought an all black pair. After 1 week of use and my first light 3k run, I can honestly say I had so much fun with an easy run. Wearing them for a full day to do errands, it took off so much pressure on my knees and lower back. I was confused as to why I wasn't feeling sore at all run. After logging 3-6 mile runs daily in the gt 1000s/2000s I switched to nimbus today. Took them for a quick 5k this afternoon and can already tell Asics has stepped it up. They fit so well the lack of cage/structure is negligible, snd the extra cushion is very responsive and is much easier on my back (2 herniated discs two years ago). Will see how they age, but after 1 run, i’m highly recommending them

    I almost bought this one. Really liked it over a Clifton 9 and the More v4. The More felt like a stability shoe to me with a really wide base. I ended up getting an SC Trainer which had a little more energy to it, but would love to have a pair of Nimbus 25’s in my rotation if I had the budget. Ended up with an SC Trainer for Easy/Long runs and Novablast 3 for speed work. I’m old and slow though, so “speed” is relative 😂

      hey I'm 60...205 pounds.....SC Trainer is great. Prime X actually lets me run FAST. Could not believe it.

    I've really enjoyed this shoe.
    The only issue I've had is that my little toe rubs up against the upper, and this caused a bit of discomfort in the first couple of long runs. Obviously, this is just a foot shape thing, and other people might not have the same issue. It seems to have gotten better with more use, though.

    I only have 2 issues with the shoe. It runs a little warm for me. I live in a city where the weather is 50-70 year round and my feet get a little moist when wearing these. Then the nylon(?) tag on the top of the tongue. If you don’t wear high enough socks it really rubs your skin raw. That being said… I absolutely love the shoe and have bought 3 pairs for myself and one pair for someone else.

Also, aren’t the Nike Invincible v3’s considered a close competitor to this Nimbus 25?…. they seem faster than the NB More v4 and cushier than the Saucony Triumph 20’s - which is essentially like an Asics Nimbus 25? These shoes are great for runs, but I love them so much more for casual wear and my retail job. I put in maybe 40 miles of running in them before deciding to only use them for casual wear because they are just so plush and comfy. Triumph 20s are much better for running IMO

      3 runs in the Nimbus and I had to consign them to casual wear only. The soles of my feet would be burning up after 2.5 miles and every time there was a downhill section on the runs my hamstrings would cramp up. Maybe too soft for me?
      Went back to the Saucony Triumph 20 and now 21 and it's sheer heaven.
      Maybe just me as I've not read about anyone else getting hamstring cramp with the Asics on downhill sections. Just shows you that you just have to take all these TH-cam reviews with a pinch of salt.

    Great review! Right now i am looking for a new longrun and easy day shoe (20k+).
    My options are the asics nimbus 25, hoka bondi 8 or nike invincible 3.
    Which one would you pick?

    Great timing on this review. I'm trying to decide between the Nimbus 25 and the Puma Magnify 2, which is supposed to release in July. Early reviews suggest the Magnify has more of a Triumph-type vibe in the ride. I can't run in the More v4 anymore because it's just too squishy and I feel like I'm running in sand. I tried the Nimbus at the store and I did like the firmer but still max cushioned feel.

    I've got a pair of brand new Nimbus 25 sitting in their box waiting for me to run the last life out of my Nimbus 24 that they will be replacing. From looks alone the 25 seems to be a completely different shoe than the 24, and while I honestly do not have any major complaints about the 24 I do feel that the cushioning has worn out slightly faster than I had hoped for.

      I went to buy the Nimbus 25 and ended up with the SC Trainer V2. The V2 was way more responsive, which I liked. The Nimbus is super comfortable, but felt like I did all the work while jogging, while the V2 had more spring or rebound helping me. All day though for every activity, the NB V2 would be a bit weird, as it is very springy feeling. The Nimbus would be much more of a normal feel. The Nimbus will also last at least 100 miles longer tread life. Hope this helps.

    Personal opinion - I have both the Nimbus 25 and Clifton 9, and for Lifestyle? I find the Clifton more comfortable than the Nimbus. When I walk on the Nimbus, it feels kind of... flat. It's cushy like a marshmallow, but it's not like the Clifton which is way more fluid. It's not as cushy as the Nimbus, but you feel it, and there is like a spring effect that makes every step transition more smoother.

    I find this shoe awesome for outdoor running because you get a lot of support especially for someone with high arches but if you are wanting to run on a treadmill it will not be best because the bounce back and then the rotating belt kind makes you go off balance a bit

    This is the first asic to give me a hot spot. Every run after about 2 miles I start to get a hot spot on the ball of my right foot. I know two other people that have experienced the same issue. I think because it is so squishy my foot moves too much. I am going to keep them though. Hopefully it goes away because the are nice recovery run shoes.

      Balega hidden comfort work the best for me in this shoe. I am wishy washy with this shoe so I might not give the best advice. I have found that the super cushion movement is not exactly for me. I like running in something a little more firm - in the brooks ghost range. The nimbus is still a really nice shoe. I use it for walking and short slow runs.

    Been looking hard at this for easy days. I ADORE the Superblast and am meh on the Novablast due to squish. Which is the Nimbus closer to in feel?

    • @levandmarthapolyakin-aaron2183
      @levandmarthapolyakin-aaron2183 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t have the SuperBlast (it’s unisex and as a female I couldn’t get a good lockdown on it) but I have the NovaBlast 3 and the Nimbus is a completely different animal. I suspect if you have v3 and find it too squishy, you’ll find the Nimbus too soft, though it’s such an entirely different sensation because of differences in the midsole geometry and a denser kind of foam softness. Even the upper influences the overall sensation. I strongly suggest you go try it on in a store. I rotated the Novablast3 and Nimbus for my LR’s, and also used the Nimbus for recovery after marathon as well as great comfort for casual use.

    • @johnsodm0696
      @johnsodm0696 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Superblast is a totally different feel than the Nimbus. It is stiffer, using their turbo foam for most of the midsole, making the shoe faster.

    Hello team thanks for the information on the asics gel nimbus 25 product. So my concern is I bought Nike shoe for 4k and after one year shoe cushion had gone and it is not giving any comfort now. So now I am planning to buy this asics gel nimbus 25 or 26 so can you tell me for how many years the cushion gel will be available in the shoe because as the cost of the product is very high so I am expecting the comfort and cushion and gel present in the product has to be sustained at least for 1835 working days. So can you provide an answer for my query by testing or by checking the same question to the company

      Not much beats adidas and Puma outsoles, but I find Asics (along with Brooks-I’m referring to the Hyperion Tempo and Max) to be close in outsole durability. And I’m comparing that to Saucony which wear much faster for me. Even my Asics Edge+ racing shoe with that thin outsole are even holding up quite well. I wore the Nimbus 25 for at least 300 mi of combined running/walking and the outsoles were still in quite good shape.

      For whatever it’s worth, I found the Nimbus to be a smoother and more nimble ride than the More when I was comparing them along with other options. I’m a petite person and the More felt clumsier, plus I probably just like the Asics foam more than the NB. For such a big shoe, the Nimbus felt more like an extension of my feet whereas the More made me constantly aware there was a big shoe on my feet!
