    I appreciate learning this insight of the difficulties therapists face. While I’m not surprised, I think these struggles should be at least mentioned/taught during the training and at least offer networks/mentorship/options that mitigates these problems. I truly hope there are better solutions to help address the student loan debt and administrative duties. Marketing oneself can be a little intimidating if you don’t know how to start. Really enjoyed this video, Dr. Therese!

    Ohh this video is so good! I agree with all the reasons so many of my colleagues are miserable. And so many times they see my personal, cash pay business and try to bring me down. I wish more therapists would break out and build a business that serves them and their clients.

    As a European it breaks my heart to hear how high student loans can get in other places of the world :(
    It makes me admire therapists even more, thank you for those insights. Hope there will be more awereness on these topics in the near future!

    I would add one more reason therapists are miserable - they think they need to change/school/help the client. So many of my colleagues are frustrated with their clients not realizing their clients are not theirs to fix. It's much more of an art than a science.
