    To clear up the remote wire wonders.. this works just like the amp. It gets CONSTANT power from the same constant power the AMP gets. When the radio plays music, the LOC detects that sound input and makes a SIGNAL output for your amp to know when to turn on. The amp only turns on when the rear speakers have power.
    The only parasitic draw there will be, is from the LOC itself which is comparable to a few LED diodes, not an issue unless the vehicle is parked for weeks and weeks. Great video!!

  • @junky9
    @junky9 ปีที่แล้ว +30

    Don't you need to run the yellow wire to an accessory power? If not your power is going to consistently run the whole time and the amp will never turn off?

      I don’t think so because if you have a power cord to your amp going to the bsttery than it shuts off when you turn your car off. You don’t even need to use the remote ground or yellow power wire from the converter. It’s not really needed. I’ve seen many people not use em

      No, the amp only turns on when a signal is sent through the rear speakers (only when radio is on and playing music) the LOC itself may have a small draw tho. It should only be using energy, when there's music coming from the speakers.. so it's shouldn't be anything crazy. I'm installing mine in a few hours, time to see if I get dead battery's now like many think will happen 💪

    My wife has a 2020 Kia forte Lxs and she wants to run a sub in the back I have all of the stuff to do it I even ordered a wire harness that plugs directly into the factory radio and from then on it plugs directly into the factory wire harness so you do not have to splice any wires and with it has a line out converter and a remote control blue wire. On eBay it was like $31 and it's basically plug and play for that part of it. The power wire and blue remote wire and RCA has to be ran through your panels and then panels snap back in place The only hard part was trying to find a location to run the power wire through on the firewall but once I figured that out it was all simple. The power wire was the hardest to be honest. Even if it did not include a blue remote wire you can always hook up your blue remote wire to a fuse in the fuse box for accessory or radio itself. I hooked my blue remote wire in my truck to the stereo fuse in the fuse box so when I turn on my truck the amp turns on. Very simple just a little bit time consuming.

    so does that amplify the rear speakers as well.....I have a factory amp in car that amps all the speakers. jus wanted louder so if I add that LOC to rear speakers and run aftermarket amp and sub will it amplify the rear speakers with factory amp and or aftermarket amp ? I prolly don't wanna send 3000 watts to rears only to sub ya kno.....thanks again

    Won’t it create more load on those tiny wires? Do we need thick wires or these tiny wires can take the load? Did you found any issues so far like sub cutting off in between?

    • @moderatemods98
      @moderatemods98  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      My wires are not for high output amps , but with my set up they work fine and no no cuff offs or any problems like that !

    • @elliotlaw1590
      @elliotlaw1590 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      the main loads are on the amps positive and negative wires, which are thicker anyway, the line into the LOC is the same loads as the standard speakers run off, hence why just standard speaker wire is plenty enough, then after your amp or sub depending on what your wiring, is where the higher loads will be, so if you have an amp to a passive subwoofer for example, but then you dont need to worry about the loads so much because the RCA output on the amplifier feeds a signal to the passive sub, and RCA cables which come with your amp or sub will be more than capable of handling the higher loads anyway

    If you don’t have rear deck speakers and I have to access the rear door speakers is there a way to do it before the wiring passes through the door, like can you access it in the pillar somewhere?

    • @moderatemods98

      If you have rear speakers in the door, there should be a channel that the wires for those speakers run through, run your wires through that channel for a hidden clean look

      No as long as your rear speakers are still connected you just tap into those wires to send a signal to the line output converter and everything should work as normal except you added basically RCA hookups so you can hook up your RCA wires to your amp for a signal. I did that on my 2005 Nissan Sentra back in the day and it works perfectly.
