Thanks Nick. I think you have convinced me to buy one for use, here in Australia. I love down hill but baulk at going too fast but this helmet might give me a little more confidence. I had a crash two days ago and a better helmet would have helped a little. At the age of 65 I don't bounce like I used to. The heat dissipation was a concern but I'll take the chin bar off and clip it onto my backpack as you described as I have a pack just like it. I've just purchased an eBike a few days ago so that will be less of a problem I guess. Thanks mate.
Hey, what size head do you have and what size super dh do you have and how many times do you click the adjustment dial? I know that’s a really odd question I’m just in between sizes and wondering what to do
It will be fine for trail riding but am no longer using it. It runs a little warm but I’m not that phased in it. I run a Giro Source for trail riding and a Fox Pro Frame for shuttle/race days now.
The system that tightens around your head loosens really easily and would definitely loosen in a crash, is it suppose to do that?! And is this thing actually good for mountain biking?! There’s no padding, and the helmet seems really thin! I’m mainly going to use this for fast biking around the city and hill Bombing would it hold up to a good crack of the head on the concrete?!?
@@jogesvar Your question mark(?) at the end of your statement seemed to make it sound that a little noise would stop you from protecting your head. That's all.
use to ride MX with an open face helmet and a JT Racing chin guard (look it up) in the 80s how safe was that lol ...mtnbikes and marketing, selling stuff you don’t need....
H3AVYHAUL3R Safety equipment is meant to rape the pocket? They also didn’t require you to wear seatbelts in the 70s. But that changed because seatbelts are proven to add additional protection. Take off your tinfoil hat bud. If you don’t want the expensive and safe helmet, go to Walmart and buy a $20 helmet.
300 for a helmet (3r for 230) costs WAY less than a trip to the ER and possible concussions. but if you are fine wearing nothing but a strip of foam over your head, no one is going to stop you.
It comes with two sets of cheek pads, I put the thinner set it, fits perfect

i think you can adjust the padding on the chin guard, you can take off some of the foam and it will be much confortable
The helmet being tight is good if it's brand new, it should mould and form to your face over use.
Brandon Nugent thx. Just bought this helmet and was wondering just that
@@ipxmahler My helmet definitely has packed out a bit after one season.

Large size but depends on how long my hair is. I'd rather a slightly bigger helmet and dial it back to fit.
Great product! I recommend
Hey Nick thanks for the video. Are you still using this helmet? How's it during trail riding?

@@MuggersAus cool. Thanks for the review and your feedback. I appreciate it.
it looks very tide inside ...which size you got and what is your head size?
Noo, no reply
it’s because it has a thick and thin set of cheek pasfs

I've crashed a few times, it stays put. Just google Mips. Pretty sure it saved me from at least one concussion
Can you tell what specific model it is? This is the color I need, orange.
www.mtbdirect.com.au/bell-super-dh-mips-helmet It was this but in an older orange colour
Do you still have this helmet?
Hi. Does not make disturbing noises with a chin bar?
A MORE disturbing noise is when your chin hits the concrete and your jaw fractures into pieces. Think about about it!
@@williamsaloka9043 You don't understand my question. :(

@@williamsaloka9043 I have a Fox proframe.
@@jogesvar O.K...... Cool!!
Great helmet for the price.

Joseph Medium
Nick Muggeridge i bought large, and I have a 57cm head circumference, hope It’s not too big...
@@joseph3628 hey so how did the L fit? I did the same mine is about 57.5cm and ordered a L
Carlos Gomez the full face option fits/looks great! Only problem is without the full face, it looks a bit big.. but maybe that’s just me :)))
Joseph i did the exact same. I ordered a large and took it back as i found the helmet looked too big without the chin bar

Well you clearly haven't ridden gnarly trails.
