Honolulu wins Because you get both island and city live while Maui is pure nature. I’m from LA and it’s crowed here and I can guarantee all of you that crowed in Oahu feels nice and not bothersome at all.
My family decided to island hop! We are going to start off our vacation in Oahu, Honolulu because Oahu offers fun Nightlife, more Hawaiian culture , the Historical monuments of Hawaii, City Life, other big things to visit like Diamond ahead and Pearl Harbor, and in all just more things to do. Then we are going to finish our vacation in Maui! Maui offers less crowds, the tropical aesthetic vibe of Hawaii, nice beach’s, Road to Hana, nice waterfalls , great cliff jumping, and etc. In Oahu we are going to do more “sight seeing” and touristy types of things then in Maui we are going to have a layed back beach type of vacation. I am super excited we are spending 5 days in Oahu and 5 days in Maui.
This was SO helpful and perfectly timed. Thank you! I just booked my trip to Honolulu last night. I'll have 7 full days which I feel like maybe isn't enough time to island hop. Maybe I should just stick to Oahu and spend some of the time in Waikiki and some near the north shore? I'd like a good mix of fun things to do and also a relaxing vacay away from the crowds
Thanks so much! Though you can technically island hop (if there's something in Maui you really want to see), spending all 7 days in Oahu will give you a chance to really explore what the island has to offer. Oahu truly does have a ton to discover. Have a great trip!!
U one hundred percent picked wrong island for not having crowds....sry just being honest... Not really hard decision....oahu is an overcrowded tourist trap, maui is much more private and less people and better condos....unless u really wanna see pearl harbor and maybe north shore, maui all day....particularly napili honokawai and lahaina area..... For volcanoes halekala is meh, and not active, big island volcano national park where u see flowing lava is spot for that, not maui....
Super helpful!! I've been trying to make a decision between these two islands for weeks now. This is my first trip and I am so excited now that I know which island to visit first, thanks to your video :)

@@MOAB-UT most beautiful place on Earth
@@mikeee7425 Did you try or compare to Maui? My friend said visiting (not living) Maui was 100x's nicer.
@@MOAB-UT I’ve never been to Maui, but I’m told it’s amazing. Maybe one day

Suggest watching White Lotus on HBO Max folks. Kanaka Maoles rise up and take back what is rightfully theirs.
You need to check your math......
Waikiki doesn't neighbor Honolulu. Waikiki is in Honolulu. Know ur shit lady. Jus sayin
